I coupled this with the Nighthawk AC3200 tri-band. I have a 3 level condo so I use this as the main router in the basement. Reaches the 3rd floor with little interference. Most of the use and streaming is upstairs so that’s why this one is downstairs. Haven’t used this router specifically much as I’m connecting to the tri-band but the performance on that is outstanding so I expect no less.

Excellent WiFi speeds, weak management software

At the time of purchase I found this on sale and it was a better deal than other routers with lower AC ratings. It quietly sits on a shelf, does its job, causes no problems and that's all you could ask for really. My home internet is 200Mbps which it delivers to every device with no problem. Data transfer within the network is good too. It can maintain 320Mbps (40MBs) during a file copy from a computer to a networked hard drive (probably not router limited in this case, also the computer's network adapter was rated for 433Mbps max so this is not bad at all). The router is weak in its management software. Changing the router's DNS settings causes a guaranteed crash. I like the VPN server built in but it's useless if I can't change any routing configs. It's also crazy limited. Crazy in two ways: 1) Only two Dynamic DNS providers can be used. 2) One of those providers MUST be used period. It's insane actually because dynamic DNS is not needed to use a VPN in the first place and there are many providers out there not just these two. If they go out of business or hike their prices then what? Good for a basic or intermediate user. An advanced user will want to move all services like DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc to a Linux box and keep the really good hardware inside.

Had the NH1700 and got this upgrade NH2400 for a great price I couldn’t pass up of 89.99$.! I’m not much of an analysis on its specks ! But boy it has a powerful punch on speed and what it can hold with everything I throw at it - 3 smart tv 7 computers Alexa cube - Roku - hd DVR - 2 iPads 3 iPhone - 2 ps4 1 switch 2 security cameras all holds well with no lag-

This WiFi dual band router provides coverage for the whole house. I upgraded from my old WiFi router because of the multiple devices (i.e., cameras, smartphones, Smart TV. etc.) that are connected to the WiFi signal. The Nighthawk app is good for controlling the router (i.e., rebooting the router and taking devices off and online.).

I got this unit on sale at more than half off, and it was totally worth it. I bought it to replace a decent Netgear router that wasn’t quite strong enough to get a signal to my home office in the corner of the house. This unit is easy to setup with the smartphone app, and gives me 3-4 bars in the home office where previously there were 2 at the most.

I have spectrum service and had the equipment they offer for internet. I so much trouble with there wireless router which you got pay for every month. I couldn't connect with my phone and I was wired connected with my Xbox and I could never connect unless I reset the router. It could never find the IP address. Finally after three different routers from spectrum I was ready to spend a good amount cash on a router instead of wasting my time and money on equipment that doesn't work. I love the service of spectrum over satellite but not there equipment or customer service. Lucky this is all around holiday season so I looking for a great unit for a great sale. After a little research I landed on this one plus it was on sale on black Friday for $89.99. I jumped at the chance and haven't seen any issues so far. I'm going even further on saying it seems like Netflix, Hulu and the internet seem to stream and load quicker. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Great router, easy to setup, and has very effective range. The only downside is that 2.4ghz devices cannot reach the router when you select the mixed mode (2.4 + 5ghz) into one SSID. As a result, you are stuck with 2 SSIDs until Netgear gets that issue resolved. Still by far a 4/5 star product, especially if you get it on sale like I did for just under 90$.

I bought this router when it was on sale thinking it might not be that great, but I was wrong! It does an excellent job and I'm very glad that I bought it! We live an a 2 bedroom 950 square foot apartment with lots of competing wifi connections. Every device connects beautifully and has a strong signal. I am very happy.

I needed to upgrade and this was a good budget router, but if you have multiple people using multiple devices at the same time, it might be a good idea to get something better. I run security cameras and multiple devices and it is fine, but it sometimes hangs up and needs to be reset. Good speed and range also.

Definitely made a difference with our internet speed. I have been eye-ing this for a long time but had held back from purchasing thinking I didnt need it. Well, I’m glad I gave in at such a good price on Black Friday. Now, I can binge watch netflix and hulu without having to wait for an episode to keep buffering!

Setup was easy for me. I had an old netgear router and it was time to upgrade. No lagging at all, i can be watching netflix/hulu and other residents are playing xbox/play station or the switch. Would highly recommend setting up the QOS. It definately helps in terms of prioritizing traffic. It is a great router!!

Great Coverage and Very Good Signal Strength throughout our 2 Story House, with decent range into the basement and Drive-Under Garage. The 5-GHz Speeds range from 80 to 200 Mbps, depending on location of Tablet, Phone, or PC; whilst 2.4-GHz is 30 to 80 Mbps. Overall, very worthwhile upgrade for only $90.

Works much better than 5 year old Belkin router. Looks like it should last until until the wifi 6 routers get to be a reasonable price. Seems to have better range, but still using a range extender. (too cheap to buy mesh!) It was easy to install and program.

Bought on sale for for half price, upon setup has a few bugs to make it work right “admin password” reset itself a few times and had to get ahold of netgear to get router to update firmware. But after little issues were solved it’s the best and most simple and easy to use router and the app is awesome.

Purchased this Netgear router to replace my ages old fios router by Actiontec. Strong signal. Easy setup. I only wish I could control device accesses in a little more granular way. I want to disable my kids' smartphones' Internet connectivity before/after certain times of the day, which I could do with my old router.

It’s a great replacement for a leased router. I got it on sale but this or similar models really boost speed and signal within the home. I get close to full coverage in a 3,500 sq ft house. The app is okay but the desktop application is better. I liked how it made my printer AirPrint compatible.

Purchased on sale and I am more than pleased with its performance. Setup through the suggested app was not successful as it never asked for a secondary DNS which my ISP requires to connect, but I was able to complete through the typical router access location. Definite improvement in speed. Would recommend.
