Wow wow wow, took a while to do a review but i finally decided to. For one, this is a monster for the price. Insanely quick for $699 it does 4K gaming no problem. The two things that makes me a bit disappointed is the 12 pin connector, i guess it’s fine if you get an aftermarket one but just bad to see out of the box. Last thing is VRAM temps, wayyy to hot. 110C but other than that, the cooler is really nice and is also quiet. All in all, an 10/10 effort from Nvidia. way better than my 2060 Super I had.

Coming from a Radeon VII and WOW, what a difference. This card absolutely rips. And it also looks fantastic! And it’s quiet! And it destroys benchmarks! And It feels more solid and dense than any other graphics card I’ve seen. BEST GPU EVER. I’m getting nearly double the performance in games than I was previously and in almost complete silence. This card is very good out of the box in terms of thermal management in my case. It gets even better after I but a mild undervolt on it. When my previous card was screaming bloody murder this thing is whisper silent. God I love this card. I know right now it’s extremely hard to get. Took me months of pulling my hair out to finally get one. Believe me when I say this, though: It’s worth it.

I feel like it’s almost just gloating to review one of these at this point. We all know getting this thing for $700 is the best deal in GPUs in the current situation. If your PC can keep up with it from a PSU and CPU standpoint and this is in stock, just buy it. You can get buy with less total power than the recommended 750w as long as you have a quality PSU and don’t have 10 spinning disks to power or something. I’m running with with a 9900K off a 600w Corsair SFX Platinum PSU. It’s physically a cool card too, with all metal construction and super heavy duty component feel.

Upgraded from my venerable GTX 1080 and I was literally blown away with the performance gain at 1440p 144hz. The FE card is the undisputed king of price/performance right now and if you're ever in a position to buy one at MSRP don't think, add to cart! To confirm for any prospective buyers, the FE 3080 does have the 2 MLCC, 4 POSCAP configuration. I have experienced zero crashing issues and have been able to achieve a modest (and stable) overclock with little effort. Temperatures hover around the mid 70's at max GPU utilization after a few hours of gaming so I'm also quite pleased with that. My only suggestion would be to buy an aftermarket 12 pin to 2x8 pin braided cable because the adapter included in the box looks absolutely terrible.

Can not knock the card in anyway performance wise! It is faster than then base clock running around 1.925-2.025 while under load, at an average temp. of 75c. You can feel the quality in the card, and even though it is not a 3 slot card it is Heavy. I cannot say I am happy about the new connector. I had my case in perfect condition, as far as wires hidden and tucked. To supply the power, I followed the online post to run two different leads off my modular supply to juice the card. It added a mess at the bottom I have not cleared up yet. But runs everything I can throw at it. And more. It took me 5,000 F5 refreshes and multiple card losses at the last second to score this at base price from best buy. The picture I posted is just after I stuffed it in the case! :-)

I am glad Nvidia kept this card at MSRP, when all the other cards start $100 over that. Its the only true 2-slot 3080 available, so most SFF cases are compatible. A bit of coil whine, which I'm fairy bummed out about. And the 12-pin converter cable is fairly ugly, and who knows if this standard will be supported on future cards. One thing is for sure, Nvidia will probably increase the price of the xx80 cards next generation of cards given the demand this time around.

What an awesome card! I will eventually put it underneath my 3090 after I repad it and will finally have two graphics cards that light up installed together. With it power capped at 80 percent TDP it still provides super smooth gaming. The only thing that would make me happier would be a 3090 TI but even the 3080 is overkill for me. I started out as a gamer since 2001 with 64mb gpus. I ultimately gave in after I got the 3090 and I’m addicted so I’m sorry to the environment for having these power hungry gpus. At least I power capped them.

I managed to snag this bad boy back in October of 2020. I fought tooth and nail against the scalpers like many others and was able to get to that buy now button. This card has performed admirably and I have zero complaints. I wanted to wait a year and use it to be sure it was solid. The temps have are very good. It has blown away all my expectations and some. Definitely worth getting if you can get it at MSRP. FE is a must have. Tough build and good quality. Good luck to all! Hopefully they become more readily available.

The 3080 is THE graphics card of choice if you're looking for no compromise performance at a cost that is half of its upper tier brother the 3090. For about half the price, you'll get near identical real world performance. NVIDIA really stepped up their Founder's Edition cooling as well. Hard to say no to a GPU like this, especially if you manage to snag it at MSRP. With the way Best Buy has been handling the GPU shortage, buying from here is probably your best bet. Just make sure your tower can fit this thing in there, it is pretty large.

Pretty huge upgrade from my 1080 ti. Playing at 1440p and literally can max out anything I have played with headroom to spare. Also was able to do some testing at 4K with a first gen Ryzen CPU and was getting easily 140fps in Forza Horizon 4 maxed out. Only complaint is that it is a bit loud if you run it at 100% load. But that's not really unexpected. One other thing that is a small inconvenience is the 12 pin connector which you need a dongle to connect 2 8-pin cables to. Kind of unsightly, but I will be eventually replacing it with a custom cable.

If you can get your hands on one I would highly recommend. So I've had it for almost a month and so far I haven't run into any issues, the cooler style of the push pull cools it faster and keeps cool longer. In games like modern warfare and cold war it destroys frames at 1080p high to ultra settings. With power draw I'm currently using a EVGA 650 watt 80 plus gold and it works fine but in would say if you're starting from new get at least a 750 watt. Would definitely recommend if you're going for that huge upgrade to your PC

A beast of a GPU. Runs 4K games at high fps. I played Horizon Zero Dawn at 4K HDR with all settings at Ultra (except for Shadow and Cloud, which are High) and averages 80 fps. Thermals are decent. With a bit of undervolt (868@1920), I get average 60s and max 70C after long hours of gameplay. I'm sure the FE version is hotter than 3rd party AIB, but with the current stock and tariff issues, I can't be too picky. This GPU is currently powering my LG CX 48 OLED, and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Firstly, I know what you’re saying: ugh how did this guy manage to get one??? Well MY answer is Totaltech. Initially I thought $200 is pretty steep for an annual membership, however I spent way too much money at Best Buy a year anyway so it felt justified. Long story short, Totaltech has saved me so many times with the hottest tech releases. I’ve scored a PS5 and now this RTX 3080. Mind you, I STILL needed to be subscribed to restock apps, Discords, and restock Twitter accounts to find out these were being restocked. That’s legitimately the only way these are obtainable right now, but with enough effort you can still get one (even as of 2/2022!) Onto the card though, this card is insane. Outperforms my previous 2080Ti in everything I throw at it, especially in 1440p. Just to give you an idea of how beast this card is: the framerates the 2080Ti gave me at 1080p, this 3080 gives me at 1440p for about 40% of the price I paid of the 2080Ti. Insane. I’m paired with a Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB Corsair Vengeance CL16, dual 980 Pro’s and a 1000W EVGA psu. YES you will need a beefy PSU for this card as I regularly push 340+ watts at stock, and close to 380W overclocked. If you can get your hands on this card, without a DOUBT it is arguably the best performance to value graphics card ever made, and well worth the trouble to get it. And no, I wasn’t paid by Best Buy to mention Totaltech, I just needed to be honest to everyone wondering how these are still obtainable. To those who still are looking to get one, don’t give up. Keep fighting to get it as it is absolutely worth the effort.

This card is fricken amazing!! I came off a GTX 960 and let me tell you the jump in performance is insane. I never saw high frame numbers as I do now. I get 200+ fps in cod Mw not going to lie she gets Hot. The hottest I saw the card go up to is 68c. The fans are quiet I barely hear them. Now you maybe wondering if there is coil whine and I can confirm I do hear a bit of coil whine when under load but it's not loud at all. you would have to have your ears right up against it to actually hear it.

Amazing card! Killing every game at 1440p. Haven't tried 4k yet, but I'm happy with 1440p. Couldn't have asked for a better card. Best looking card among the 3080s. Took about two and a half weeks of checking everyday to get it, but it was worth it. Really hard card to get, but worth the effort. Just got lucky. Just wish you can set fan curve to 0% when adjusting fan curve. It is only at 0% with stock fan curve. Other than that amazing card. Won't be upgrading for a while

Absolutely fantastic card! After months of attempting to get this card, I finally succeeded in the recent drop. My expectations were blown away. Coming from a 2070 super, I'm now maxing out my frame rates on my 1440p ultrawide. The card running stock can be a bit warm, but a nice undervolt cooled my temps to below 70c at all times while actually increasing performance. If you're looking for a 3080, this is the card to strive to get. Hopefully stock improves soon for this card.

-Runs hot. Had to remove back and thermal glass. Temperature went from 200 degrees F down to 150-160 degrees F. +Best graphic card in regards to bang for buck. Odd to see so many 3070s costing more than this 3080 FE. +Easily plays most 1080 games on ultra settings anywhere between 100-300 FPS. But I usually just play 1440p or 4K @ 120 FPS for consistency sake. Note: I added the water bottle for size comparison.
