Absolute beast in terms of performance. Temps are staying reasonable in a high airflow case. I don't like the placement of the PCI-E connector, but other than that I love it. Running warzone at constant 144fps at 1440p, with a ryzen 5 5600x

The best of the best. This is one of the best cards you can get especially when all the partner cards are being tariff'd $200+ above MSRP. This will play all of your favorite games at the highest settings and the price is great for the performance you get out of it

I recently upgraded from a 2080 Super and couldn't be happier. The main issue is trying to find one of these cards. This is actually smaller and weighs less than my 2080 Super, but more powerful. Runs everything I throw at it in 'ultra' settings in 3440x1440.

Hands down the best bang for buck GPU you can buy. That’s if you are persistent and get lucky like I did. This card is a unicorn, but if you can get one, there is no card that has a better performance per dollar.

I already had 20 series cards and 10 series cards The 3080 at this price range is like skipping 3 generations of gpus in the amount of improvement over the previous generations. Your 1080ti is finally worth upgrading. Mine does have coin whine, it's obnoxious and i'm going to contact nvidia about it -- otherwise nothing but good to say except "I wish i didn't buy two 2070 supers last year" Getting over 160FPS in cold war on a 1440p monitor... all settings (yes, even that weird "ray tracing" setting... maxxed out) This one should be good for years of fun, even though 80% of my gaming is rocket league, the other 20% goes toward iracing and checking out AAA titles. ... this thing doesn't stop. Do i wish it had 12 or 16GB? Absolutely. Then again, gddr6x is FAST. If you are able to even get a chance to buy a 3080 don't hesitate a nanosecond !!!

Of all the 3080s you have the option to buy, this one is the best deal if you can find it. The fans are a bit loud sometimes but they usually don’t turn all the way on even while gaming. Great GPU all around.

Amazing card was super hard to get but I got lucky . I use it primarily for mining etherium and gaming . It's a stout card and best bang for the buck if you consider the performance to price ratio . If you compare the 3090 , 3080Ti , 3070Ti .

Performance of the card is self-explanatory. Arguably the best value of this generation given the shortages and price increases of the AIBs. However, doesn’t matter much unless you can get your hands on one…

Seeing as you can actually get this card, months after the release, you will definitely be blown away by the performance compared to last generation's cards for the price. One small thing though, while under large loads, there is noticeable coil whine.

    Solid card

Solid card but with some caveats. I’d say if you are looking for the best with no compromises then wait for AMD’s 6000 series to be available. if preliminary bench marks are to be believed then you’ll get a bit more performance out of a 6800XT in both ray tracing and raw performance for the price point. granted this will likely be on a case by case basis but the 6800XT will at least match the RTX 3080 in most other titles it doesn’t straight win and if the 3080 does win in some, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be by staggering amounts. competition this generation seems to be alive and well. that being said, the RTX 3080 isn’t a bad card at all. i would in fact recommend this card to anyone who is already invested in the nvidia gsync ecosystem as it doesn’t make much sense to me to have to spend hundreds more dollars replacing a high quality panel as well as buying a new gpu. the case for the rtx 3080 can be made further if you utilize nvidia gamestream. in my experience, most people have a 4k HDR television in their home and may not want to spend that much more on a 4k HDR computer monitor as those are ridiculously expensive compared to a nice 1440p 120-144hz gsync monitor. it’s a simple matter to game at your desk with a high refresh rate 1440p monitor AND get an EDID display emulator to stream to your tv from your main rig and play games with controller support on your 4k HDR tv at a solid 60fps. nvidia’s gamestream, especially with the moonlight open source client software, is easily the best streaming software available. no noticeable compression or artifacting and you can stream up to 120fps, 4k,HDR in h.265 with little to no input lag whatsoever. to my knowledge, you will not get anywhere near this kind of solution from AMD and steam link is laughable (poor video quality by comparison, noticeable input lag, no HDR). the RTX3080, even if it doesn’t outright beat the 6800XT, can still push 90-144fps in 1440p with ray tracing on max settings and keep you at a solid 60fps in 4k HDR with ray tracing at max setting if gaming on your tv. one final note for those wondering about overclocking: forget it. this card has little to no headroom but i would argue that that isn’t where it really shines. i would recommend to most people undervolting it. you can easily get the card to run at a constant 1850-1950mhz while pulling less than 300w. it will only lower your total average fps by 2-3 frames but offer you much higher and more stable 1% and 0.1% lows and have the added benefit of allowing you to keep your fan curves down making this card quite literally whisper quiet.

3080 is the perfect mix of high quality gaming and the right price point. 3070 is a little too basic for future proofing and 3090 is such a price jump. You can get majority of what you want out of the 3080. Nvidia did a stellar job, can’t recommend enough

Upgraded from 1080ti. Wow so this is what next gen is like with RT and DLSS. The card looks beautiful in hand. It feels like a metal bar. I love the price point of this card compared to others. I just wish every could have access to purchasing one.

These GPUs are amazing for the cost. These Founders Edition GPUs are so much lower cost than all the other AIB cards, except for EVGA. The design is also one of my favorites.

A powerhouse model with the right price tag to go with it. Obviously the 3090 would be nice but if you look at it from a $ standpoint, the 3080 is more than adequate for most “general” usage. Don’t pay resale if you can help it.

Got lucky when this dropped for me last October. Absolutely a fantastic card, plays all my games at 1440p high settings with high framerates. In my system I never see it go above 80 c. For $700, I think its a great value

Got this to put in my first ever build and cannot say I am disappointed in the least. The packaging is very good and lends confidence to receiving an undamaged product. The FE takes up 2 mounting slots and appears to be very well supported even with only one screw holding it up. I have seen no sag over the past few weeks. After the most recent driver update from the 9th and a bit of troubleshooting which included a clean windows install (for an issue with random restarts) and it runs like a champ in 1440p. 120-135 in warzone max settings with raytracing enabled. AC Odyssey max settings sit at about 85-90, haven't opened Valhalla again since I got things running smoothly but I expect to be around the same as Odyssey as I was getting similar FPS in both games prior to my fresh install. Good luck actually getting one, but if you can it is absolutley worth it.

King of the 3000 series. At $700 MSRP this goes above and beyond. Handles everything at 1440p with no issues even at max settings. Stays cool, works great for streaming and recording as well. Happy I was able to purchase.

The only card that was every available for MSRP. Even some 3060 ti's go above $700 now for their store prices. Not the best performing card in terms of thermals or noise, but performs like a 3080 none less.
