had this card since October 2020 great purchase, phenomenal product. great upgrade from my old GTX 1080 founders. great value also got it for 649.00 with birthday discount. If you can find one on best buy, grab one! almost 7 months after launch and people still can not find cards online.. good luck! this demand is going no where for quite some time.. this is the new norm.

This is the best 3080 for the money. If you have a choice at which 3080 to get, it should be the FE because of the price for performance ratio. I also think it looks the best as well. It can get a little louder than the 3 fan models, so if that's a problem, that may sway you another way, but I have a custom curve, that has the card at 79-80c without it being very noticeable.

Most difficult to get Bestbuy to take my money but it is worth it! When I play under load I get around 59-65C while playing games (side panel open). It is one of the most beautiful cards out of the custom aibs. If anyone is using a corsair RM/RMi/RMx power supply, I recommend getting corsair's 12-pin if you want your build to look neat.

Founder's Edition cards have the lowest MSRP of all the GPUs, and performance is as good or better than the partner cards (this one overclocks better than my EVGA XC3). The cooling on many of the partner cards are more efficient. While the GPU stays cool, the memory on the FE gets up to 104-106C when running at 100%. It is my understanding thermal throttling occurs at 110C. The fans on the FE also get quite loud in that situation. This shouldn't be significant as under normal gaming the memory stays in the sub 100C range. After two weeks I did watercool it, but that was the plan for the build all along. The temps now stay in the 80s under stress tests. Undoubtedly the best value of nVidia's 30 series card as none of the other ones come close in price/performance. For example, the 3090 only offers 5-10% more performance than the 3080 but it costs more than 50-60% more. While the 3090 also benefits from more memory, it's not something that will impact gaming.

Got it in late October so I've had a solid month gaming with it. with RTX on max and all graphics on ultra (using a 1440p g-sync monitor ) this thing doesn't even flinch. using msi after burner to control fan speed only the temps stay around 62-64 under a full load. 10/10

Got the RTX 3080 Founders Edition graphics card back in April during an online GPU restock, but sat on a shelf for 2 months until my son could figure out what build he wanted (Gundam Zaku II theme). Paired it with a Ryzen 9 5900X and it’s off and running! Plays games at high 1440p framerates smoothly. Can’t say enough about this GPU, this is the best price to performance card you can get for this RTX 3000 generation.

Exactly what I wanted. EXTREMELY difficult to get ahold of. Love this card and my build. I ended up modding the thermals because the default thermals are essentially garbage. Look online for tutorials, kind of a complicated process — but very worth it.

Amazing card especially at MSRP. Have a 1440p monitor and no issue running at or past the 144Hz rate. Temps with air cooler are good but alittle noisy. I have it currently on water with Corsair block and this card is amazing.

This thing is a beast. Has a small wind when under load but runs great at 1440. Fps is amazing as well. Only downside was waiting for this in line for 20 hrs just to get it. But worth it in the long run.

It took a few times to get but let me tell you fortnite everything epic settings on 1440p and I have to cap at 240fps or it does more. Thermals doesn't go above 58° for me. Great product buy it if you can.

Reading reviews because the button is grey.. I get it, I've been there!! Till that one magical day when that button turned yellow. At that moment my smart watch said I was going in to afib!! The process to get through checkout was a bigger adrenaline rush than running away from an oozing Volcano. WOW! Oh yea, the card.. It's amazing.

After missing out on this card for so many times because it went out of stock right before I pressed the Place Order button, I was finally able to get one and trust me, it felt like a big achievement beating all the bots to get one. When the card got delivered, it came with deinflated air cushions (I have heard almost everyone is getting this card from Best Buy the same way). Luckily the card was intact and damage free, thanks to very good cushioning inside the box by NVidia. With those struggles out of the way I would like to talk about the actual functioning of the card. I game at 1440p and it might seem like an overkill for that. But I am able to get close to 60fps give or take with GeForce Experience optimized settings for Watch Dogs Legion (My CPU is i9 9900k OC 5GHz all cores) I also played Control with DLSS 2.0 On (Which is another great thing about NVidia cards) and I was easily able to hit 100FPS+ with great visuals (I could not visually see any difference between DLSS upscaled and native 1440p resolutions). Crysis Remastered at high settings was also hitting close to 90FPS. I upgraded from EVGA xc3 ultra 2080S to this and I must say, it was a great great upgrade for me. The card runs at around 80 C while playing Watch Dogs Legion which is more than my 2080S but I guess is okay because it stays in the upper frequency bins for almost all the time. As for the card design, the build quality is top notch and the card feels heavy because of its beefy cooling solution (dont take it in a negative sense, the card is compact with its 2 slot design for the power it can produce). Only thing that bothers me is the power cable adapter from NVidia that just makes the whole setup look ugly.

I was lucky to grab one of these at MSRP. I had a 1070 before this and let me tell you, the jump to this card was amazing with my Ryzen 3600 at 3440x1440 144hz. Solid locked framerate in every game I play with maxed out settings. The card itself is also very well built. I would 100% recommend this card (at MSRP) if you are currently using a 10 series.

I cannot tell the amount of joy I felt when my purchase went through after so long. What I *can* tell you though is not only how gorgeous this thing is but also how insanely powerful it is. 10GB might not seem like much but the fact that it's GDDR6X essentially makes it a non-issue. This thing can handle dang near anything you throw at it, it compliments the rest of my build magically, and it just makes me feel special. NVIDIA, you really have killed it this time. And a very special shoutout to the people at Best Buy in charge of handling my order because I ordered this on Tuesday and got it on Wednesday. If that doesn't say quality service, then what does?

The Card We Were Waiting For

Huge upgrade from my GTX1080, handles every game I can throw at it at 1440p/144Hz with max settings, and can even simultaneously stream 1080p/60 with most games. Two drawbacks: 1.) The fan is quite loud when card is under stress. I was playing with headphones on and though I heard the vacuum cleaner running in the other room, took off the headphones, realized it was the card 2.) This thing runs HOT. Good thing we're heading into winter, because this thing dumps hot air like crazy through the exhaust fans in my PC Possible drawback: The 12-pin to 2x 8-pin is not aesthetically pleasing. I don't care - did a simple cable dress and it looks fine.

Late review. Best upgrade for my 1070. 300% increase in performance on stock. Good looking card and it doesn’t get hot when running games Max 75C at 150fps on Warzone at 1440p.
