I purchased this for two reasons, I love the idea of VR and really want to help fund forward movement. This isn’t a high end rig but you don’t need a super computer to power it. For the price point it would be hard to add much more to what this unit offers other than expandable storage which is my only complaint. After about 30 minutes I start to get a little nauseous, however I instantly get sick from theme park VR rides so it’s probably really good for most people. My son can play it until the battery dies with no issues. To me this is the perfect device to show VR interest and help fund development without breaking the bank and to have a little fun until we can get units like “Ready Player One”. I would love for everyone to have one or try it out just to see the potential in VR.

I like this thing. Immersion is impressive . Easy to navigate. Fairly light but does get a little warm after a while. Battery life is not long, 1.5 to 2 hrs of use. All in all, pleased with the purchase

Easy to program, easy to use, what an experience for an newbie to VR! Really a small problem with battery life, but licked that with external power supply. What a great tool to see our world, from a recliner?!

Noticeable improvement over my Gear VR /Note 9

I had my first taste of VR with Playstation VR which I still own. I purchased a Gear VR to use with my Note 9 it worked okay but I felt like I was always adjusting the headset to focus it plus the hassle of removing my LED phone case everytime I wanted to use it. The Oculus Go is so convenient and looked noticeable better than the Gear VR in clarity the software runs better on the Go the interface is a lot smoother. I also like the Go controller a lot better than the Gear VR for one it doesnt need to be calibrated constantly like the Gear VR. The Go is great for watching YouTube and Netflix shows. I personally don't mind the 3dof vs 6dof I really want a more relaxed VR experience which the Go does well.

The Oculus Go is a nice product. Comfortable, easy to use and good quality picture. Negatives would be lack of 6 degree movement and does not support blue tooth ear phones.

They got it right. You will not be disappointed in this VR experience- the GO has tons of games and content available, easy to use, and needs no computer. You can even use a ps4 or Xbox controller with it.

I first tried Google cardboard type of VR glasses. To many issues with using your smart phone and trying to stream videos from my network and control the video, overheating, aligning focus, etc. Gave up and decided to try a dedicated system. The Oculus Go is not the sharpest video display but its just enough for my needs. It also has the ability to easily control any video you stream to the headset with the included hand controller. I installed a 2nd party program called Skybox and now I can stream all the movies stored on my network to the headset (3D, 360 and normal videos). Worth the price for its ease of use and completely self contained VR headset. Lots of free content to view for a pretty good VR experience.

This is our first "quality" VR headset that we purchased for our sons for a Christmas gift. We purchased a cheaper set last Christmas for them that required the use of a smartphone that functioned very poorly at best. This stand-alone headset is awesome. Agreeably, there are higher end, more expensive models out there but for the cost, quality, and experience, these are great. My wife and our sons use them quite frequently and are still amazed, months later with the features and general satisfaction we get from them. There are a large number of apps available for it, both free and for a fee and so far, they all seem to work very well. We are very happy we purchased them and it didn't break the bank.

I took the Go back ..... I have the oculus quest 128 gig. I’ve had the PlayStation VR since day one with the PS Pro I have at least spent $1000 in games for it .....THIS blows it out of the water !! Hands Down !! Everyone who has seen it at my work wants it now ! The resolution is almost double that of the PlayStation VR .... Video is clean ! It’s not 4K but it’s sweet ! Sorry PSVR If someone’s dogging it then there the same ones that don’t like HD TVs I would rather have a CRT ! Or a Ford Pinto instead of a Corvette

This headset is lightweight and comfortable. It is good for the price. The downfall was how quick the battery ran down and it only comes with one controller.

The Oculus Go was a Christmas gift for my 14 yr old grandson. He is very much into tech and was over the moon with it. From my perspective, not requiring a stand alone or tethered PC is a benefit. While not a high end unit, it is a great value for the money. The headset feels right but is best used in a dimly, if not dark room to avoid any external light leakage. Battery life and charge time will require a lot of plug in time. Make sure that it is at full charge to enjoy 2 to 3 hours of play time. I found the Oculus Go with 64GB a very impressive entry level VR unit with near top end features.

I probably need to explore more of the benefits but it gets pretty warm underneath the hood and the fogging is pretty aggravating. Make sure you get some anti-fogging spray (although I haven’t found one that works great yet. Will keep but not as impressive as I’d hope.. I’d say pass if you don’t play games, I purchased more for movies but just haven’t found the value there. Plus it gets so warm you would never watch an entire movie, plus the battery doesn’t last that long.

I got this one last year. Recently learned that it has been discontinued. I have games on my Oculus Go that are not on the Quest store. I’m keeping my Oculus Go. I highly recommend anyone else who has one of these to keep it. The games I have on this one that aren’t on the Quest store are Solitaire Jester And Wander Glade, Jigsaw 360. To name a few. VR can also be very calming. Oh I also have an app called Calm Place on my Go. If you have a Go, I don’t recommend getting rid of it. I do recommend getting an Oculus Quest though. It’s nice having the best of both worlds. Also the Go has HULU VR.

This was bought as a gift for my 10 year old son who enjoys sports and gaming. Since he received it, he has run it dead every day. With that being said, the battery doesn’t seem to last very long. At this moment I’m grateful for that so he doesn’t try to live on it, but also disappointed that it dies so quickly. The oculus store has many options to choose from, even though this is more for streaming than gaming I believe. Overall we are satisfied with the purchase enough that my daughter (8) has bought one as well and compared to the price of the quest, this is a great place to start.

My only complaint is that the battery life isn’t as good as I want it to be. Def a good first gen headset that isn’t hooked up to a computer. And more gb option would be a plus

Great product and easy to use. Only criticism is battery charge only lasts 2 hours. If trying to watch a feature length movie you may or may not make it to the end before battery goes dead.

Oculus GO is a nice, portable, light and affordable device to get introduced to the VR world. Watching TV shows, movies and major events on it is actually real delight and surprising at the same time. Playing games is fun but don't expect playing AAA games on it (use Oculus Rift instead or other VR headsets). The user interface works quite well and very reactive, there is actually no noticeable lags which is usually a concern, good stuff. In terms of build quality, it is decent, the design is polished but no surprise again when the OEM manufacturer is Xiaomi. In a sum, if you wanna try real VR experience for the first time then yeah Oculus is the way to GO ! Enjoy !

Truly amazing how you can feel part of the scene, game, or whatever your choose. No wonder they suggest you sit down. There are free VR experiences, but Like most gadgets these days, a purchase is required for games, etc. that you really want to enjoy. Even though expected, extra purchasing a downer which is why I rated it a 4 not a 5. I'm sure the extra apps will be well worth it judging from what I have seen so far. I guess the game itself is a five, but additional buying is a 4.

I bought this after I started watching movies in bead with my Oculus Quest. The Quest is super heavy so I bought the Go and it's perfect for what I bought it for. It's super light and it allows me to have a massive screen to watch TV and movies before I go to sleep. The only problem I have is that the battery life is only 3 hours max. I usually have a magnetic quick release cable connected so if I fall asleep the cable will disconnect without breaking the port. If it had a larger battery life I would give it a 5 out of 5.

I have been doing VR since the hardware was ridiculously huge, expensive, and unwieldy. And here we are now, not needing a phone to enjoy it! My phone used to heat up in 15 mins all the time, plus I lost the use of a phone. But this setup is sweet, and for the price it's so easy to just grab it and go. Got one for the kids and they love it. I know the next gen will be better but if you always wait you'll never have fun. Buy it and upgrade in a year when the next one comes out. Oh just be careful I went into a room the kids go to and it's sex talk, so you may want to monitor stuff they do on it. It's still the internet.
