I have purchased two of these for for my teenage boys (13 & 14) as gifts. My kids personalities are night and day different so I wasn't sure they would both use them for the same purposes. They love them and use them all of the time. They actually play games together and fight a lot less so thats an added bonus. They watch shows together, play games together. Its great! They use them on car rides, at home, on vacations, with or without internet. If I had more kids, I would buy more devices! There is so much you can do with these devices, and the quality is fantastic. Its hard to believe that they do not cost more.

Perfect for someone who doesn't want the hassle of hooking it up to a computer and paying more for it. I watch Netflix and NBA games comfortably from my bedroom.

I like the fact that it is a stand alone headset and that you don't have to hook it up to a computer. I know that the Oculus rift has some additional features but the portability of this unit works best for me. Many of the free programs are excellent and I really like watching movies in the Netflix theater room. If you are an intense gamer the oculus rift would probably be better for you, but if you just want something that is fun and easy to use the oculus go is a great product.

Not just for games! You can actually visit with others that have one too! Best thing for social distancing. I have movie nights with folks in other cities, states and countries! I have family get togethers often. Truly amazing. I wish I had one sooner! You can visit anywhere and be right there! Concerts? Front row seats! Visit the International Space Station, wing glide in Dubai, too much to list. You have to get one and ALL your friends & family. Social distancing will be a thing of the past!! AWESOME!

Picked this up to try out. I had used the Samsung Gear VR and PSVR before it, and I like the lack of wires or anything with the Go. Also has a convenient eyeglass spacer that works well, though putting it in made me a bit nervous that I’d snap something. Still a bit of a screen door effect as with all VR systems I’ve used but you get used to it. Only real “complaints” are the battery runs out quickly, no VUDU app I’ve found to watch my movie collection, and haven’t figured out how to watch any 3D movies that I own already.

My son wanted the Quest well I don’t have quest kind of dollars, so I bought him this as an alternative... IT IS AWESOME! Ok so it did make me a little nauseous some of the apps but over all he loves it and it’s pretty fun. One complaint is battery life. Overall if you want to try VR this is the way to go. You only need your phone/iPod/iPad to set it up, after that it is completely self contained! No you do not insert your phone! It has the apps on it! (After you choose them with your device).

My daughter took a virtual reality camp on summer and was introduced to the Oculus go. Since then she insisted that I purchase. After reading several reviews I caved in. So far I have not regretted this buy. She loves using this device to experience cool adventures like swimming under water, riding thrilling roller coasters, etc. And the great thing is that many of these games are free. The Oculus Go I gently on the eyes, not heavy at all and just plain fun!

I love this thing! So much better than sticking my phone in a headset. Looks like a lot of good offerings too. Just wish there was more upfront transparency on what you need to purchase to view. For instance, one app that is “free” offers you close up concert and performance views from lots of artists, but once you go into the app you learn you have to pay for everything separately. The download app screen has no “ in app purchases “ notification. But I’m still enjoying it!

The quality of this is amazing. You don't need your phone plugged into it. You install the games from your phone and they download on the headset not your phone. You can also install games from the store on the headset as well. The main reason this 5star headset got 4 was because Minecraft is not on it even though they share the same account with the Gear VR Oculus app. So some paid apps carried over and some were no longer compatible. If you can get past the no Minecraft I would say pick this up in half a heart beat.

I bought this item as we were starting to see stricter rules for the quarantine. I have really enjoyed being able to go to different places all from my couch. I am not a gamer but I can imagine if you are then this would be perfect. There is so much to do in VR, I highly recommend this item to anyone who is seeking a VR experience without wires and phones. Only one real drawback is the longer I leave them on there is an imprint on my face which fades. The battery life is around 2 hours.

    Perfected mobile VR

This is mobile VR perfected. This is a stand-alone, self-contained VR headset with the processing power of a modern smart phone. Occulus designed a complete product that perfects the mobile phone VR headset without the need for a phone. The headset is light weight and comfortable. The image quality is a notch below the Vive but much better then the VR headsets that you place a phone in. There are a lot of free apps available but it’s limited. It is not the best for gaming as it has 3DO which means you are not able to lean or look around objects. The single controller is fixed just below your viewpoint either to the left or right. It is accurate and works well. The games are more like experiences and not full VR roomscale games due to the limitations. If you enjoyed putting your phone in a VR headset then you will love this. It does not work with a PC nor can you use it with Steam VR. This headset I think is best for entertainment like watching movies on netflix or 3D/360 degree videos on youtube, online training or whatever. It has an Internet browser that you connect via WiFi. There is no cellular network option. You could use the hotspot on your phone but it is WiFi only. Overall a good quality product that I am able to use for long periods of time. It has good smooth image quality with very minimal “screen door” but does have some light leakage around the nose. Just don’t take it out to the living room and use it while everyone else is watching a movie. It can be seen as being rude. People are weird like that.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday. She is 8 now. She loves this Vr. So much. She plays it all they on a full battery. She does charge it a lot. I don't know how long it lasts on a full battery. But it tell you to take a 30 minute break. She doesn't. She plays minecraft on it. Theirs alot of games on the vr, slot of scary games. She play one clown game and that was over with. She don't play it no more, lol. This is the best system to get a child at her age.

So if you've never had anything VR -- the Go is a decent buy to get your feet wet but it comes with some major faults enough for me to only give it three stars. The good - Great videos ... everything from educational to fun - Oculus venues lets you watch NBA games courtside with other real oculus owners and you can even talk to them (really cool) - Tons of free content (which is hit or miss if you ask me) The Bad - This particular system does not have a focus dial and if your eyes are just perfectly spaced apart for this system you're going to have to definite issues (my vision is perfect but it was always one eye or the other that was super clear no matter how i adjusted it on my face). This left me with occasional eye fatigue while using the system (its higher end brother "the quest" does have spacers which you'd think is a must have for any lens based system like this) Overall I liked it at first but the vision issues were just an on-going nuisance. Plus i was hoping for more games but it's big brother the quest is more primed for those types of experiences. It's a solid system for general family fun and if you don't want to part with a lot of money. I get the quest 2 weeks later and there is truly no comparison between the two systems -- quest is 20 times better.

First VR device and bought it because of NBA courtside commercials. It has performed better than expected. Kudos on speakers location and speakers sound surprisingly well. Two downsides to keep it from higher rating. Very short battery life so get a portable charger. Second downside is resolution. 1080I would make a very good product even better while watching NBA games from courtside. Netflix-Hulu-ESPN-NextVR apps performed very well. We want more live sports in VR for this!!!

the picture quality isn't HD - too much pixelation to be a truly immersive experience. the games available are fine, but would love to see more companies produce content. It is very easy to become lost in a game and ignore the outside world. The headset itself is easy to use. Battery life is low, but it ends up working fine for me because the headset gets uncomfortable to wear after a while.
