Huge improvement over the Original Oculus Rift

In the new Oculus Quest, they incorporated the core VR technology and appeal and removed all the obstacles, the PC set up, and messy wires and no issues with glitches! We had the original Rift that had to be connected to the PC with boundary devices and all kinds of wires. While it was ground breaking, it was cumbersome and we still had a few injuries from boundary issues. Worst of all there was a malfunction that cause the headset to lose connection and we had to return after one week. In the new Oculus Quest, they fixed all the issues and obstacles, better than imagined and so far it works flawlessly! We love it!!!

We were looking for a computer to replace the one I have. The one we bought will do for now. It is working great! We thank the sales guy for all the info we needed to make our decision. It's a great computer for the price. Now for the Qculus Quest, it is great. I have had hours of fun with this VR stand alone headset. Please thank all the guys in the store for their help!

Wandered into BBY looking for gift ideas for our 17 year old son's bday. Met a salesperson who was demo'ing the Oculus so we took a test drive. HOLY MOLEY! This thing is wild! I'm not a huge gamer but I was hooked on this within minutes. It is completely immersive and the graphics are so realistic that I actually got confused about what was real and what wasn't. We bought it for our son and he's been completely thrilled with it. It's fairly active (for a video console) so at least he's not perched on the sofa when he's using it! He's also been using some interesting Oculus apps like one that puts you in work situations and another one where he fends off evil robots. This device was a huge hit with our family and I would absolutely recommend it to others.

We seriously love the Oculus Quest. The kids are between ages of 10 and 13 and the adults love it too. I enjoy the more chill aspects of it...watching Netflix or the meditation app, Tripp. Or Fishing. And the kids are having fun learning all the games. Job Simulator, SuperHot, Vader Immortal. Or just hanging out in Rec Room. We have a lot more to explore! The quality is fantastic and the graphics are impressive. Really enjoy being cord free. But have the option to play while plugged in as well. And the fact that you can play anywhere with it (except outside of course). I was hesitant to get another gaming option, but I'm really glad my kids talked me in to this! My son's friend got one as well and they enjoy playing "together" in it.

If you can find it and you love game this is a must have. Not having to be connected to a computer to play VR games is a game changer. Whole room VR experience literally puts you in the middle of the action.

I owned one of these since launch, the 128gb model, and sold it for this cheaper 64gb model since I never filled up the larger one. Oculus has really made the push of getting cheap and accessible VR to the market when no one else has so far. Having owned an HTC Vive and now a Valve Index, it really is incredible just picking this thing up and playing beat saber in seconds. Now there are some problems for sure, graphics take a smack in the face compared to PC of course, stuttering isn't rare and crashes happen. One of the biggest problems i've had since launch was how glitchy the display can be, and it still is. It's all gotten better with patches but I still think there's a ton more polish needed to make it flawless. The other big issue is how front heavy the thing is. I had to purchase a "comfort" strap that helped a little, but the thing still feels like a brick strapped to your face. Issues aside it's really a feat of a product in most cases, and the value of what it can do seems to rise all the time.

I've had and play many VR systems and the biggest problem for me was the cables. Its easier to get fully immersed without the cables. BUT with no cables come battery power. This could definitely be a downside since with this I've managed to get 2-2½hrs(consecutively) before its dead. Now that could be good or bad depending on who its for. 7.5 out of 10

Bought this for my 12 y/o son. He absolutely loves this. It's easy and portable. Love that it's a standalone. Graphic are so much better. Depending how many games you plan to download, 64GB is plenty memory.

Wanted to say this first: hadn’t done any games since the mid 70s. So when I tried the demo at Best Buy, I was floored. Decided 4 hours later to buy the Oculus Quest. Installed Vader, Beat Saber, Boxing VR, Creed. Love all the apps. No technical issues. Everything loads up when either putting the headset on or pushing the on button. No problem with the headset on my head. I have read that this is an issue with some. I guess my head is a bit unusual. I ride a motorcycle with a helmet so I know not all heads are made the same. I wear glasses but I do not use the shim. Actually I don’t use my glasses when playing. See well enough, I guess. (Maybe I should consider wearing my glasses so I can get through some of the Beat Saber campaign, lol).

This is the best way to experience VR, it's disconnected from a PC, no sensors needed, just charge and play. AA batteries in the controllers is a weird choice though

Really cool device. Not high in value though but that's because it's new tech. The apps are coming in but there isn't a lot yet. The social apps are cool. The games are fun and a couple of them will get you off your chair. As far as the hardware ... It's been dependable, works well, some minor shudder in a couple games but nothing that should be unexpected. The unit gets heavy for smaller people and sometimes a little dis orienting. But I still have to give it 5 stars it's worth the 400 dollars if you've been waiting for something worth buying in VR. If you're critical about the highest frame rates and absolute perfection them wait for a couple of generation's... A year or two will makes a big difference in VR.

Pros: Hands on, the Oculus Quest is very well built. It fits comfortably on my head and I can use it without my glasses. The games are awesome, the animation is very good compared to other stand alone headsets and best of all I didn't have to buy an expensive gaming PC to use it. Best of all there are no wires whatsoever and that makes game play that much more enjoyable. Cons: There is not a very large variety of games at launch. Most of the games offered I already have for my PS4 VR like Beat Sabre. That said Vader Immortal for Occulus Quest exceeded my expectations and was very immersive. Once they have more games available I will be more satisfied with my purchase. Please please please bring The Unspoken to Occulus Quest please!

Coming from the Oculus Go, this thing is just that much more impressive!! Hard to describe a good VR experience to someone new so you really must try. The price is this thing is no where near where it should be for how great and high quality of an experience it provides. No wires, great battery life, and immersive!! If I’m splitting hairs and being overly critical: A little heavier than other headsets so can fatigue in longer play periods. Game pricing could be slightly lower and comparable to the price of the same titles on other platforms. Nothing worth dropping the rating over!

This is very easy to use and set up. You can also hook this up to your computer and use it to play Oculus Rift games via the Virtual Desktop app, so if you want to play Rift games, but not play Rift money, this is for you. And this is not to say that the games that you can get for the Quest are bad. The games that I've played are all well optimized for the Quest lesser processor than the Rift and I've had no problems playing for hours on end. Lastly, unless you are downloading game after game after game, 64GB is plenty. I have 9 games and several other apps and I'm not even close to the 64GB limit so save yourself a hundred bucks unless you really need 128GB

I basically ignored VR at home until I heard Half-Life: Alyx was going to be released in 2020 and it would only work with VR. I don't have an up-to-date gaming PC and didn't have a headset for VR. I could have spent $1000 on a wired headset and another $1500 on a PC for VR, but it made much more sense to get a headset that can work anywhere wireless or wired. So, instead of spending $2500 or more I will spend about $2000 and get a more powerful VR headset. The Oculus Quest is the best value for getting in to VR whether mobile or tethered PC VR.

The Quest is an amazing leap forward, for someone who has occasionally played Nintendo games and never before owned a VR headset. You can play a third-person game like Moss from the comfort of your chair. You can follow a first-person narrative like Vader Immortal, where you move through a large world with a combination of small moves (within your Guardian space) and teleporting. You can play active games like Beat Saber. You can sit in a virtual theater, watching movies and chatting with friends or strangers in BigScreen. You can float 20 feet above any spot in the world with Wander. Some of these apps are free, others cost $10 - $30. I'm looking forward to discovering other fun applications of VR!

The oculus quest Is an excellent VR headset, I have played on multiple vr headsets and this one works smoother and better, I’ve never had the cameras forget my position and lag and it remembers my play boundary instantly every time making for getting in the game almost instantly, the wireless is amazing cause you feel truly in the game, I recommend it for everyone that’s doesn’t already have a pc, the one downside is the lack of games yet, more games are coming but the game I really got vr for I learned isn’t coming to the quest, you don’t get access to steams arsenal of games. Your phone is how you stream the live feed and you need a iPhone 7 or higher for it to run smoothly, overall very good buy
