Aside from being wireless and the need to charge every other hour during long sessions, the weight and stock cushion can be a bit cumbersome. Otherwise a great experience.

I played with my brother in law's Oculus over Christmas and loved it so much, I finally decided to buy one in quarantinne. A great way to escape into VR when you're stuck at home. The unit I bought at Best Buy arrived quickly and in great condition. There aren't a TON of games to choose from, but there are some truly quality games to choose from.

I will admit that I scoffed at it. How could it be as good as the wired set? For what it does run, it's great! It doesn't have the storage or power of a PC, but there's very little difference between the games that are available on both. Plus the not wired so you can walk around, or wired so you can charge it and play longer. Then there's the creepy IR vision. Hilarious!

Second one I purchased. First for home use, second for niece and nephew because they fell in love with it! Purchased three games so far, but love the trial versions to test them out. Great for gamers and for a fun version of exercise. Accuracy of the play can be affected by external factors. We had to turn off the Christmas tree lights to solve the issue.

Bought this for my nephew to play with. Thought I would try it first. Amazing! I can't use it for very long (get a little nauseous and my eyes get tired after around 15 minutes), but it is alot of fun. One word of note: This VR headset (as well as most VR headsets) is not recommended for kids under 13 and I would definitely adhere to that rule.

I bought this for my 6 year old son for Christmas. I had been trying to get one for 2 weeks prior to no avail but I was checking sites daily and on the 22nd of Dec I tried Best Buy at 8am and I got an add to cart button with a before dec25th delivery date, I jumped on it. I made a big mistake by not buying 2 I am hooked on the content, the experience and the overall satisfaction of the device and I am 48 years old. I happen to play in a VR Poker app and it is so addicting because it’s like your really there the conversation is great funny and obnoxious but it’s VR you can be who you want for a little while. Honestly the device is a welcomed break from reality if just for a few. The controllers are accurate with no lag and the best thing is you don’t need a lot of room to play, the guardian system can make it to here you play sitting don or standing up in one space or you can map what space you have which will allow you to take as small as one step in either way or allow you to actually run if you had the room plus when you go outside the guardian safe space the cameras cut on for you to see everything in front and to the side of you. I LOVE THIS DEVICE, I made the big mistake I should have bought 2 but I will correct that because my son is complaining I use it more than him !

The quest is the best thing to come to computers. I know people like bashing on the quest because it's not wired and wireless is inferior. But those people are one of two types, people who never tried it and are misinformed or two they are an elitst and want to make sure everybody knows they have a more expensive wired setup.

VR is not just games for kids. You can take virtual trips, see views from the highest mountains or gorillas in their natural habitat (thanks Ellen) that come so close, you can look directly in their eyes. This is the future and people like Ellen Degeneres are creating virtual explorations that can help save the planet while you're having fun.

I am new to the VR gadgets and only became interested in it because I saw a deal of the day for the type where you insert your phone into it for it to work. Anyway, I did not buy that one, but noticed that the Quest was available to pre-order. I went ahead and ordered it and went to pick it up on May 21st. I have had time to use it and am impressed with the device. It does not have instructions, so you have to figure out how to do things. However, after you get a little used to it, you can begin to play around. There are some free games, but you have to pay for most things. For example, I purchased the app where you can actually log into your computer or laptop and remotely operate it! That is a very cool app! It was worth the $20, I believe. The headset has its own sound and you can use the built-in cameras to be able to see when you are wearing the headset. Overall, it is a nice device. I like it and will be getting more games soon! The boxing game demo was fun and quite a workout. I will be getting that one next!

My son saved for a year to get this and it's really incredible. He only has a single game (Beat Saber) other than those that come with the device, and so far he hasn't even asked for another. I suffer from pretty extreme motion sickness and thought there's no way I could play this, but am happy to report that I don't have a bit of sickness when playing.

With the Quest being all self contained and being truly being wireless does make the VR experience so much better. Although I only previously had the PlayStation VR, it was enough to know that the whole setting up process and cable management could be a enough to discourage playing. The Quest is such a game changer, I think it makes it much more encouraging to play.

Finally, a wireless, effortless, and fun set up. Graphics may be downscaled but this isn’t noticed when you can bring it anywhere, and set it up in seconds. No longer having to worry about an expensive computer and setting up the sensors makes this a game changer. I’d recommend to anyone.

Best Game Console in my Adult Life

Ok sure, I don't buy many game consoles period but because none have really interested me in the last decade and a half. The interactivity of a VR system like this makes for such a unique gaming experience! I received this for my birthday from my husband and after a few days, he immediately went to buy one for himself! A couple notes on this: - You MUST watch YouTube videos on how to get the best fitment on your face. The unit itself was not too self explanatory so I felt like I could only wear this for 10-20 min at a time before I felt like my face was being dragged to the ground. After I watched some videos and fixed my fitment issues, I felt like I could wear this for much longer in (relative) comfort. - There are a lot of accessories out there to help with the above fitment and comfort issues. I've tried out a couple and landed on 1.) VR Cover foam face replacement (way more comfort than the original foam and much cleaner because you can wipe and sanitize the pleather). 2.) Mamut Touch Grip - allowing you to have more convenient access to all the buttons without needing a death grip on the controllers. 3. ) Carrying case - to keep yourself organized and able to carry it out to your friend's house and convince them to buy one.
