Best Game Console in my Adult Life

Ok sure, I don't buy many game consoles period but because none have really interested me in the last decade and a half. The interactivity of a VR system like this makes for such a unique gaming experience! I received this for my birthday from my husband and after a few days, he immediately went to buy one for himself! A couple notes on this: - You MUST watch YouTube videos on how to get the best fitment on your face. The unit itself was not too self explanatory so I felt like I could only wear this for 10-20 min at a time before I felt like my face was being dragged to the ground. After I watched some videos and fixed my fitment issues, I felt like I could wear this for much longer in (relative) comfort. - There are a lot of accessories out there to help with the above fitment and comfort issues. I've tried out a couple and landed on 1.) VR Cover foam face replacement (way more comfort than the original foam and much cleaner because you can wipe and sanitize the pleather). 2.) Mamut Touch Grip - allowing you to have more convenient access to all the buttons without needing a death grip on the controllers. 3. ) Carrying case - to keep yourself organized and able to carry it out to your friend's house and convince them to buy one.

This is a great VR set for the price without having to connect to a PC. The apps available have been a blast and the entire family can enjoy playing. An unexpected plus were the educational platforms available for use. Easy set up...easy game play! You just have to dodge the person using the VR as you walk around your home.

I was amazed with the device. It was easy to set up and the learning programs worked as intended. It is best used for anyone over age eleven. The VR games and worlds are really good. I was dumb founded by some of the graphics. The whole experienced reminded me of Star Trek’s Hollow deck. It about as close to the hollow deck as you can get.

I can’t say enough great things about my new toy!! I have had it for almost 2 months now and I love it. I have 3 other friends tha5 played mine and instantly ordered one for themselves. The roller coaster game makes me a little nauseous though. Be aware of motion sickness. Battery life is not great, but you can play while it is charging.

This headset is bringing us one step closer to cheap , afforabel, accessible VR. No wires , cameras or cables required. Keep in mond that it doesnt play rift/ rift S games without a cable and a powerful enough PC. My only complaints is that the battery life isn't that great and customer service for oculus/Facebook is atrocious.

Great way to get into VR. Everything all-in-one was the selling feature for me. Don't need a console, or to be attached to a PC. Only downsides are that the unit feels quite heavy on the head. Screen-casting often disconnects, which is annoying. Resolution could be better, but doesn't distract from the fun.

Absolutely love this. There are some limitations to some of the games, and some of the graphics are old school, but overall a great VR experience. You actually forget you are not in the actual environment. We love this so much we plan on getting a second ones.

So far have played Vader, Beat Saber, and other demos a handful of times and all games look great. Even some of the 360 videos from YouTube are really cool. Only drawback for me is it gets a little uncomfortable on your neck and forehead if playing for a while but overall is a great system and is really fun to play.

These are a great step into the future! My whole family has used these for movies and games and everyone fights over them every time I bring them out. I’ve had both the Go and these Quests and the Quest is by far better and worth the added cash. Just do yourself a favor and go buy a pair, but don’t try and share. You’ll never get them back.

I was seriously lethargic for a while. I went to work, I came home, I did nothing in between. The quest got me off my butt, and then BoxVr gave my body what it has been yearning for. Good, intense exercise. I feel amazing and I would never have thought my quest would turn into more than a gaming device. I wake up every day now and do 30 mins of exercise in the quest before I do anything else. Gaming taoes a seat to the real life benefits of exercise with this device. Anyway, the gaming aspect is great, everything about the device is sound. Tracking is iffy sometimes, but that is all. If you pick up a quest, make sure to go to the oculus quest subreddit and learn how to side load and increase the resolution of the quest. You don't want to miss out on those things.

I don't have a Frankenstein PC and I'm not the best with technology. The Quest is easy to use and enjoyable for those wanting to dip their toes into VR gaming. Quality is noticeably different from PC powered headsets such as the Rift, but still playable and immersive despite the limited graphics. I vote buy it for a new experience. :-)

This oculus quest is the best purchase I have ever made. It is awesome how you can move freely without any wires. The graphics are a bit low compaered to the rift but I would take the ability to use it anywhere anyday over a little better graphics. A great device for someone who travels alot and wants to share the vr experience with others.

Quite literally puts you into new worlds. The thing is a little heavy, so I do have to let my neck rest every now and then, but the things that you can experience with the headset are worth it. Feels good, very fluid, and good for the price. But then again, the Quest 2 is out, so there's that one.

What can I say about the Oculus Quest? It's amazing what this device can do. Once you strap it on you are immediately immersed into a virtual world. The best part about it is the way you set up your environment by drawing boundaries in the room you are in. Overall this is a great piece of technology.

    Great Standalone VR!

For a stand-alone VR solution, the Quest is great! I’ve been involved with VR for several years and have a couple of the PC VR systems. If you’re used to PC VR, then the tracking may frustrate you at first because there’s no 360-degree tracking, but most of the games available on the Quest are optimized for the 180 degree tracking instead. When plugged into a graphics card via the Link cable, the graphics rival or exceed most other major consumer VR headsets. Looking forward to taking this places I can’t bring my whole computer/VR setup!
