It works fine. A little deeper than expected but understandable for a 6 disk changer. Plays older cds with minor scratching fine. Find the dimmer switch to get rid of the awful green light.

Love this 6-disc CD player. Easy to install. Has some great features. Easy to operate. Love having the remote. Hooked up to some inexpensive speakers I had. Great sound. Larger than I expected but also plays one more CD than I expected.

Great sound, easy to set up and use. Note: this is a six CD changer and requires greater depth than most stereo components. This may not fit in many audio component racks due to overall depth without modification to the rack.

I recently purchased the Onkyo 6disc changer at a very reasonable price and I am totally happy with its performance and quality. If your looking for an affordable cd changer and one that is easy to use, look no further than the Onkyo DX-C390. CD Changers are disappearing fast get yours now, you won't regret it. Best buy handled everything and I received my order before the expected delivery date. You can't get much better than that.

CD players are hard to come by these days, and those that accommodate multiple discs even harder. After all, what's the point of having a player that only allows one disc at a time? This Onkyo product is the third I've bought and I have yet to be disappointed. Sound is great, easy to install, not overly heavy, and has a fairly decent price. My only issue is that the Memory function is only on the remote.

My wife was intimidated by turntable and albums. I bought this for her. She loves the ease of use but hates the size of the player. The changer is huge, doesn't fit on most shelves. She says it looks like it's from the 70's. The changer is about the size of a full sized receiver, maybe a little deeper. The sound is outstanding. I am running it through a pair of Edifier S1000 speakers.

Purchased this changer to replace my 28 y/o Sony, It is outstanding and I would highly recommend this product. The price is excellent and it was in stock at my local Best Buy, The sound quality of a CD played through the Optical Digital output is so superior to MP3 files off your telephone or streaming off internet on Sirius it's stupid. Listening through ear buds is all good for kids. Once you hear CD's though this Onkyo Changer playing through a high quality audio system including an amplifier and speakers from Best Buy Magnolia, you will relegate your over priced iPhone to reading text messages and drop your earbuds in the trash. Kids don't know any better. It's unfortunate that the convenience and compression of steaming music off a iPhone has replaced the outstanding quality of CD and a total audio system. For the price of an iPhone you can get a total audio system including this changer that will blow your socks off that will last years instead of months. Having experienced the demise of the LP then the cassette tape and now the loss of CD selection, It's by far superior in its simplicity and best sound quality that at this point there is no substitute. This Onkyo CD changer is the one to connect to your home theater. My last CD changer cost $299 out lasted 20 cell phones that now cost $1,000, that should be enough to convince anyone of the stability and quality of CD plus the sound is so much better.

For audiophiles like myself who acquired hundreds of classical and jazz CDs in the 90s and early 2000s before streaming, having a 6-disc player still available is a bonus. Easy to install and good sound quality. Prior player of same brand lasted 10+ years. These days such longevity is hard to find.

Works well, easy to set up but wish it wasn't so deep. Depth makes it nearly impossible to put in a closed console. Miss my vertically stacked Pioneer cd player, it took up less room. Hard to find multiple cd players for those of us that still enjoy cds!

We had a stereo system for years that included a 5-CD changer, tuner, turntable and great speakers. Totally designed for music, not tv. When it died, the component most difficult to replace was the multi disk CD player!
I was delighted to find the Onkyo, which had been our previous brand. Simple hookup, streamlined controls, smooth disk rotation, perfect sound transfer.
I’d been worried about the size, but the sleek, all-black exterior is beautiful.

Bought this to replace a Sony 5 disc changer that failed after 5 years of light use. The Onkyo holds 6 discs and sounds better than the Sony did. It is a little larger but still fit in my cabinet. Hook up was simple and quick. The only draw back is it is slow on choosing and playing selections when in random mode. It is nice to be able to change discs as the current disc is playing. Overall am very pleased for the price.

I purchased this Onkyo CD player to replace an old Sony player that was on its last legs and couldn't be happier. The sound is amazing and as an open-box purchase from my local store the price was great. It's nice to see that, even though CD technology is old, you can still buy quality equipment at a good price.

In general, it is a good multi-cd changer. Overall quality is excellent. It gets a 4-star rating because it is slow in changing CDs. When I mean slow you can literally walk out of the room and get back before the new cd is ready to play! If you want continuous play with just brief intervals between CDs, you'll have to change your expectations.

Purchased this 6 disc changer to replace a different brand which failed. Unit sounds as good as I could expect. Some complain about the disc rotation noise, but it is not louder than what would be considered normal.
remote supports several functions including track selection, disc selection fast forward within track and track forward. Purchased on sale, which was a pleasant surprise. analog and digital hook up.

There are only a few multi-disc CD players available, and I wanted to purchase one before they go the way of VHS tape players. I have an extensive CD collection, which I built to back up an equally extensive LP collection. I know most CD's can be played on DVD players, which are cheap and abundant, but the key word there is "most". Several of my CD's will not play at all in any of my DVD players or recorders. These are not CD's I burned myself, they are retail versions of the music I wanted. The Onyx has received nearly daily use since it was delivered and it has given me no problems whatsoever. I like that I can remove any and all of the other discs while one continues to play. For a low price, it represents a good value, in my opinion. Not long after I purchased this, the price of the unit dropped about $20. It's too late to get a refund of the difference from Best Buy, but the credit card with which I made the purchase has a feature called price rewind, so I will get credited for the difference anyway.
