This CD player offers good quality for the price. I searched online for a player that I could load 6 CDs into that was affordable. Given the developments in technology, there are not many options left. This unit has great sound and is easy to use. The price will not break the bank. It is exactly what I was looking for.

I originally opted for the yamaha i believe sd 303 was the name but it would skip at the ending tracks on cds. After some reaearch i seen this was a known problem updated the firware and no dice returned it and bought this. This onyko plays flawlessly has an excellent built in dac all cds sound fabulous. I really enjoy it next to my turntable still like vinyl better but hey cds are cheaper and easier to find some vinyl is impossible to find i have seen some negativereviews on this unit as well but they have been making it for over 20 years so it must be pretty reliable and if you still are on the fence buy the prtection for 4 years I did that way i know I am covered but i have used this changer alot and its awesome only negative is make aure you have space to put it as it is pretty darn big lol

Replaced my old Onkyo 6 DVD/CD Changer (DV-CP701) with a new Onkyo 6 CD Changer (DX-C390). While the new changer does not support DVD (I have a Blu Ray player), it does everything I want in a CD changer, including shuffling across all 6 CDs. Easy to install and easy to operate. Very happy at a very reasonable price!!

This is our second one. We wore the last one out but I can't even remember when we bought the first one. It lasted a long time. This model is super easy to just plug into a receiver and use and it's been reliable so we just went for the same model.

It is an excellent product that plays 6 disc. During the present time the interest in disc players arei fading and the selections for players in the marketplace is limited. At one time every manufacturing company would have a variety of players for sale. For the price value this is a very good choice. The sound is acceptable, usage is easy and it looks nice. You won't go wrong spending your money on this Onkyo unit. Remember 6 disc and not 5 as usual.

I read the reviews about this unit, the skipping and the negatives about it. I bought it anyway. The first cd i listened to i notice what could be skips towards the end of the songs. Tried a different cd, it played fine. After talking with a rep from onkyo he asked me what cd was skipping at the end of the songs, i told him it was DARK SIDE OF THE MOON PINK FLOYD. He chuckled a bit, and told me that some cds were made like that, like classical music and some others. He had a name for it that i dont remember. Anyway, the player is great on all other disks just not on all my PINK FLOYD disks. ( IT WORKS JUST GREAT )

Replace a old Sony multi-changer with the Onkyo, couldn't believe how much better the sound quality is with the Onkyo. A little slow at reading disc but other than that a solid player just what I was looking for.

I was looking for the older Bose multiple-CD changer to go with my new new radio/CD. It does not work (if you find one) with the new radio. I called Bose and they recommended this unit. It was easy to link & works and sounds great. You can mix tracks within and between CD's and make your own play list. Very happy I got it. Only drawback (minor at that) is that it is quite a bit larger (l x w) that the Bose radio.

Bought this to play my large collection of holiday and regular CDs. Picked up a pair of plug in speakers also as this is being used as a standalone system. Easy to set up, controls are easy to navigate and sound quality is smooth and clear. We have high ceilings and the music fills the rooms easily without any distortion. Good value for the money.

It's wonderful to see Onkyo continue to manufacture a 6-Disc CD Player. My CD's sound great when played through this unit, along with my analog Yamaha amplifier and Infinity speakers. The Onkyo unit is designed very well, functions perfectly, and was easy to install. I am exceptionally pleased with this product, and it was terrific that BestBuy had it available for purchase in-store for pick-up.

The 6 disk CD player has great sound, intuitive controls and is easy to load. It is the perfect CD player for the holiday season with the ability to load 6 CDs and play them in order or shuffle play through them all. Would alos be great with any mix of music for a party. Highly recommend.

Best CD player for the price. Sound quality is excellent for both CD and MP3. The changer and the related programming is good. I will definitely recommend this player to serious CD media listners. Delivers what it promises.

Brilliant. Huge but brilliant. Operates in the old fashioned way by putting the discs in holders in a circle side by side, then rotating between discs. Operates beautifully though, on the sound is lovely and rich. Haven't tried programming it yet. I'm just happy to be be able to put on 6 hours of music at a time and go on with my day.

The most economical CD player available, while also providing some of the most advanced CD player functionality on the market. Set up and installation was a breeze, the remote is very functional, and the CD plays as well as the best CD player available.

My 5-disc CD player I bought in 2008 began to show signs of wear and tear until it finally stopped functioning. One of the CD players I came across as I was searching for a replacement was the Onkyo - 6-Disc CD Player. After reading both the positive (pros) and negative (cons) reviews of each CD player I decided to buy this
quiet, smooth operating fully functional 6-disc CD player. The setup was fast and easy. The features are readily accessible.
I prefer the analog audio output sound over the optical digital audio output sound. The analog audio output delivers high fidelity sound with such detail and clarity, that all the musical sounds contained in my CD recording collection can be enjoyed even more than the first time I heard them.

This is the third, maybe the fourth of these Onkyo CD players that I’ve had. So, I suppose you could say I like them. Well, the features are pretty good. You can change all the discs except the playing disc without stopping the music. Nifty enough, but the cost is that this is an extra deep machine. You need to make allowance for it on your shelving. It also seems to be a little slow on rotating around and reading discs. But the big issue is that they only last perhaps five years. I took my last one apart to see why it didn’t work any longer. As far as I could see it was just one cheap plastic cog that had failed. But the machine was not going back together so I had to buy a new one. Here’s the truth, unless you go up to real audiophile machines for more dollars, this is about the only budget multi-player around - so you’re kind of stuck. I sure wish they lasted longer.

After 25 years my old Pioneer 6 disc cartridge player finally gave up. I checked Pioneer's website but they no longer made a CD changer like my old one. I then searched the internet for CD player changers and started reading reviews. The one feature I loved about my old Pioneer was the ability to play random tracks from random CD's. The Onkyo DX-C390 fit the bill and the reviews were positive by in large. We play CD's every evening when we can sit on the patio, sip a glass of wine and listen to our music. The random play works wonderfully and the sound is crisp and clear. I didn't realize how tired my old Pioneer had gotten but this Onkyo unit is a wonderful replacement.
