You get what you pay for. The satellite part of the system seems to work okay. That's about where the satisfaction ends. The remote has such small buttons you couldn't possibly hit one button at a time without using you fingernail. The buttons are poorly placed, such as the fast forward and reverse buttons are at the bottom of the remote, so you can't use those buttons without holding the unit with two hands. The fast forward and reverse buttons freeze up endlessly while trying to play back a recording from the local station antenna. The system will not allow you to have a favorites list, even though you choose your favorites and hit the "save" option. Every time you press the "guide" button, you have to press the "fav" button again. It's nice to dump the crooks at the other two satellite tv companies, just prepared for lots of frustration. And, one final comment, if your watching a program, and two other shows come on that you were recording, you either have to watch one of the ones your recording, or cancel one of the recording.

I like the Orby TV - Satellite DVR box. However. I only get 12 local channels. No NBC channels. I think that's because it was mounted on my Directtv pole and not up high.

I went with Orby TV because $40/mo was great compared to $200/mo with the other services. I rated it three stars because of a couple of flaws. First, weather affects it just like the other satellite services. Second, because of wind & driving rain, the dish moved out of alignment & I was told it would cost $100 to re-align. Fiber optics were installed in my area & I was able to go with a provider that isn't affected by the weather.

I bought a recorder and receivers. The Orby entity (product) and Mas Tec (Installation) got a sudden, random divorce. So, … I waited all day and didn't learn the TRUTH until later that night. The kids are the last to know, and the dog suffers the most in these situations. But all ended well. The new spouse came on time and installation was complicated due to the cheap 'splitter' connected to the dish. But I am a very had dude now, and the dog survived.

It worked well. Now they're out of business. I so wanted to be done with Dish network prices. Dish always has the best hardware, but this worked. Maybe they'll come back, but i'm not holding my breath,

I installed this myself after buying a DVR box in the local best buy store. I used my own dish I had for FTA channels and it worked no problem. For non tech people get the pro install, otherwise installing yourself is fairly easy.

What a great discovery I made when I came upon an orbi advertisement I am so happy with this purchase I I'm impressed by the overall quality off the picture thank you.

Talk about inexpensive TV. ORBY TV is it. Granted there are 0 sports channels. Great programming. Who needs sports? There is always something else to do. But curling up in bed watching (I'm sorry) benging on Blue Bloods Chicago and Chicago PD. Pretty cool stuff. The military Channel, there is something about wars that I knew absolutely nothing about, I have repented since then. But pennies on the dollar, compared to Direct TV and Dish Network. $27.00 a month. Can you beat that?

We live in a very rule area so OrbyTV is the best option. We do not get local channels because of the area we live in but for 40 bucks we get awesome satellite channels through this service. You can have up to four boxes on one satellite and it is a flat rate of 40 bucks or if you want the all packaged it's fifty bucks if you want to add HBO Stars Max or Epic it's extra. But worth it.

When our local cable TV company decided to shut down Dec 31 they suggested satellite tv as an option, I discovered ORBYTV.COM and determined their cost and offerings were very good and went with the $99 receive/installation option. Used it for several months and made decision to go with a DVR receiver so I could record antenna and satellite programs. BestBuy put this on sale, I now have two of them and can't say enough good about ORBYTV and this DVR receiver.

I like it that I can record programs but the only thing is I can only record 1 program at a time

This is a great product and Best Buy stands behind their name. I chose not to have this installed due to the location that I live.
