I used a much cheaper holster for my S7 which I found much easier to use in removing the phone from and re-holstering. I'm sure it provided less protection but... I have a lot of difficulty getting the S8 out of the defender when sitting and it's nearly impossible to re-holster while sitting. In fairness, it's new to me so I'll give it a bit more time before I go back the the cheaper option similar to that used for my S7. I'm giving it 4 stars because the issues nay be just mine (need to become accustomed to doing things differently).

I only buy Otterbox cases for my phones haven't lost a phone yet had my last phone 12 yrs. Definity won't be sorry

This case includes a rubbery shell over a plastic case. Looks like good impact protection against a flat surface. Thin enough to fit my pocket. Easy install. It has covers for the USB and earphone jacks to keep out dust, lint, and debris which I think is a good thing. There is also a belt clip which I haven't used.

Fits S8 perfect!!! Has belt clip on holder!!! Looks great on the phone!!! The best part is it was sale for $20!!!

The otterbox cases have saved my phones many times over. The case for the Samsung S8 latches to the holster well.

This is my first Otter box case and so far really like it, good protection and like I can hook it on my pants.

This case is a very good full body full protection case. It has an inner hard plastic shell which will definitely give it shock absorption and it goes all the way around your device. Then there is a rubber soft shell that surrounds the whole casing which will provide additional shock absorption. Something to note is that if you move the rubber shell around too much that it will warp and loosen on you where you will lose the ability to put the rubber shell onto the hard plastic shell which makes the product less durable over time.

I have used otter boxes in the past, and I have always recommended them but this has been the best one yet!

Owned two OtterBox Defender cases for my GS5 and they worked great. The one for my GS8? Not so much. The phone never seems to settle into the holster/clip correctly and I have to fight it three or four times until it snaps in place. Wish it came with the screen protector built in like the GS5 has. With the notoriety that the GS8 has for breaking a screen when you look at it wrong, would've been nice to have the added security.

Otterbox defender case offers great protection, but did not like how otterbox does not have a built in screen protector for a Galaxy S8

I drop my phone every other day and this case seems to be holding up and protecting my poor phone. Love it!

Phone seems very protected, love the clip, feels like my phone is secured and though I wish it was a bit smaller, it's not too bulky.

I really like the way it protects the phone. Even the charge port and the head phone jack are protected.

Takes awesome pictures... very user friendly, battery lasts forever even with heavy usage... Great phone

Ended up buying three of these cases because we loved them so much. The blue is an especially nice color.
