Happier with this TV the more we use it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs say 0 HDMI input jacks, BUT it has does have 3!!! .... We knew we would want a smart TV and have been happy to wait using Apple TV on our 32" Dynex that is 3 or 4 years old (good product that has been well used by gaming sons) so we got this at Best Buy the week after Thanksgiving when "just looking" because the salesman (Aaron, Macedonia, OH) was very knowledgeable and understood what we wanted, we couldn't be happier. In fact we are amazed at all it does, like we can use our iphones to control You Tubeor the remote and switch between the two controls with no fuss; and more but we haven't gotten to that yet like with DLNA we can stream pictures from our PC's or simply from one of two USB ports via flash drives to play videos, pictures and sound wonderfully and easily. The sound is more than suffice, we haven't been over 52%, still going to use the digital audio connection to our older surround sound cause that's just fun for movie nights but no sound bar needed for daily viewing. The remote is well laid out and easy to understand and use, like pause works on Netflix and video playback on the USB flash drives. I do wish it had a querty keyboard for those few times you got to plunk through the alphabet to enter something, but we have pc's, tablets and phones for web surfing. I am taking back the digital picture frame I bought for Christmas cause this tv can do that as well!! and you can set the timer for when its on or off so we have a 50" digital picture frame, simply didn't know this and love it. The picture quality is superb, and viewing angles are simply no problem, at about 160 degrees its still perfect, we don't notice any distortion at all. With 120 refresh rate (software increases it towards 240) and 1080 its sweet, colors are vivid and its fine in a room with big patio door and picture window with lots of light and sun. Panasonic did a great job in how the smart tv apps work, they are easy to read and use with the remote and appropriate full use of screen without any idiosyncrasies that irritate you, my wife is not tech savvy, she likes it all simple and she pretty much has no problem. There is only one cord, the power cord, we didn't use the Ethernet hook up we use the wireless it was simple and works great. Overall only complaint is the lack of a querty on the remote, but otherwise super happy with picture, sound, viewing angles, design and function and set up, buffering in the network is almost never (likely not the tvs fault) but when it does its seamless, starts back where you expect it too. The wireless connection was easy and seems pretty much flawless. Being a Panasonic I am presuming to have a long and pleasurable viewing experience.

Panasonic Plasma is better and cheaper
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up returning this television, and realized that Panasonic is better with Plasmas than they are with LEDs.

Better off with a plasma.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st LED I have ever bought. Will never buy another. Will stay loyal to plasma screens going forward.

specs do not tell the whole story
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Done the research, the set gets great reviews for the price. However, the viewing experience was horrible. Took me a while to realize: everything looks like it was shot on VHS. The thing manages to make the biggest films, shot on some glorious gear, look like it was shot on a cheap VHS camera. Returned it, purchased a plasma monitor instead (one of the last ones, I guess, they don't make them anymore), and things look normal again. Yes, the blacks were deep, the contrast was great, all the reviews were correct with all that. But something about the way it was made (and I guess most of the LED monitors) killed the movie magic.

Not impressed with picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this tv based on receommendation from store associates. Not impressed at all with picture quality. Have a feeling it may have just been a lemon, but we are going to buy a Samsung instead.

Poor Choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model was defective from Day One. There is a line that runs horizontally though the center if the screen. Pencil line width. The picture quality is muddy, not bright nor sharp even after adjustment. Despite purchasing extended warranty I've been told I will be without a television for over two weeks.

Great Edge-lit LED TV!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After my last run-in with a Samsung edge-lit TV I was not really wanting to buy another edge-lit. I was all for getting a direct-lit or full array LED but they either cost a fortune or the cheaper ones are almost extinct. But as of lately I wanted a new TV for our living room. I settled on an LG LCD that I ended up having video problems, it had an IPS panel which is notorious for bland blacks but good viewing angle. I ended up taking it back and started my TV search again. I needed something with 3 HDMI's. The lower priced units only have 2 though which was a pain. I would have gone for a Smart TV with 2 HDMI's but this Panasonic fit the bill with 3 HDMI inputs at the rear (Best Buy site only says 2 but it does in fact have 3!!!!). I was surprised at the sheer weight of this TV! It is super thin but on the heavy side. Not that this is a bad thing but worth noting. Power cord is on the short side, had to get a longer one to run in my wall. Also I decided to use right angle HDMI cables, no port-savers, on this so the cables arent up against the wall. Im still trying to figure out what panel this TV uses but I tuned the picture to the best of my ability! Blacks are great, color is great and pops, zero flashlighting or backlight bleed! If you get too far out to the side of the TV blacks wash out just a tad but nothing that would bother. That being my only real gripe about the TV is the viewing angle. But that is the sacrifice one makes for better black levels. IPS panels will get you the superb (sometimes) viewing angles and PVA etc screens will net better blacks but a little lower viewing angles. If you are one that loves to crank the backlight and brightness up you may notice some flashlighting but that is to be expected if you put the backlight or brightness on nuclear! On dark scenes there is nothing noticable. Im happy that I dont have to play the tv roulette game any more. Buying a unit, hanging it on the wall just to be disappointed with horrid clouding or backlight bleed. The apps and built-in wireless on this unit work great; Netflix, Pandora, VUDU. I played with the web browser some and it serves its purpose. One thing that I thought was crazy... I was showing the wife a Youtube video on my tablet and it instantly started playing on the TV. Didnt know it would do that. Anyway, for the price I wanted to pay I got a 50 LED, Smart features, 3 HDMI's. I couldnt ask for much more. Give this one a shot, I think you will be more than pleased. If you are an IPS panel lover, get the 50ET60 but youll pay about $400 more.

Great picture, good sound and easy set up.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit has a fantastic picture. The LED screen is much better for well lit rooms. It does not have as much reflection (glare) as a plasma but the picture is as good as any plasma we considered. The sound could be a little better, but that is the same with any TV on the market today, seems like all manufacturers expect the consumer to purchase a sound bar or sound system. We already had a great sound system and this TV plugged right into it. The ease of setup was very important to me as I am not electronically inclined. For the price conscious consumer looking for a great TV, for a room that is well lit by natural lighting, this unit cannot be beat.

FANTASTIC TV - GREAT VALUE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a Panasonic LED LCD TV (TC-L50E60). I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase. The picture is incredible, there is no noticeable color shift on the deep blacks off angle, the thin bezel design is fantastic, there are several input options to utilize, and there is very little (barely noticeable) light bleeding in the corners on all black screens. For those of you tech junkies out there, this is an IPS panel (not MVA). I have to admit, I didn't even have Panasonic on my shopping radar until I started reading through several TV review sites. I stuck with the 50" set as it met my budget requirements and it was a really good value. I would HIGHLY recommend the E60 series panels from Panasonic. I would also recommend purchasing a sound-bar or other audio system to complement the TV as the built in speakers lack any punch/bass (which is very typical of many LED LCD TVs#. The polarizer/optical film stack that they are using on the top surface works fairly well in a bright light room #minimizing reflections).

Great tv, getting a bigger one for the living room
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sick f****** tv, got 1 for my Bedroom, planning on getting a samsung for the living room. This picture is so nice, i can only imagine how a 60in plasma will look. I lnew panosonic and samsung are neck to neck, but ive only Had samsungs, so i was going to get 2 samsungs. Then i decided to try a panasonic for the bedroom just to compare. Hands down panosonic.. Samsung has a more brighter look, and thats something k always hated. So now i can get the same Picture without the 1 Thing i hate.

Love the new TV, has one of the best pictures
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was purchased to replace a tv that a lightening strike put out of commission. Now I am kind of glad it put the other one out, I love the picture. I would probably like it more if I had an Internet that I could run it on, I have a satalite for the internet and not a lot of bandwidth.

I love this TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great mid-grade TV for mid-range price! Had to buy 2 new HDMI cords and the optical digital audio cord for a separate sound system (the sound quality on the tv is okay, we just wanted a sound system in addition to the tv).

Panasonic Customer Service Poor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TVs Picture is great. My problem is that this TV out of the box is dim & the Motion Picture is set to STRONG which causes the picture to look 3D & Jumpy. Change it to vivd & turn this feature off & it is good to go. However when I access my apps , all of the apps are dim & netflix reflects the 3D strong setting. It does not keep the current settings. After a few lengthy calls to Panasonic they could not fix the issue. I tried to reproduce this issue on the Best Buy floor model. It worked fine. I called Panasonic back & they said a Tech would call me back within 48 hours ..... No call. I have other options for netflix Etc , but I would want the full functionality of the TV out of the box. Great TV poor Customer Service.....
