Must have add-on for most Hue users

This dimmer switch makes the switch from old fashioned light switches to voice/app activated smart bulbs much easier. Sometimes a switch is just more convenient and practical, especially for guests. Install is as easy as placing the adhesive to the wall and pressing against it for 30 seconds to form a strong bond. The detachable remote is great, too. Design and functionality are also excellent. It looks nice next to a standard light switch or dimmer switch. We bought guards to cover all of the light switches and dimmer switches that would no longer be used so that the Hue system could work correctly. Being able to program different Scenes into the switch is also very cool and useful. Great product.

This was such an incredible add on for Philips Hue light owners. The setup took me less than 1 minute and I was up and running. The remote works lighting quick with on/off and dimming of lights. If you have philips hue lights you have to pick some of these up.

Turns out voice isn't always the best way

When we first started collecting Hue bulbs I assumed we would always use voice commands. My wife continuously complained about my Hue bulbs because she lost the ability to flip the switch. She's right, it's actually easier sometimes to just hit a button. I've got 2 of these Hue switches now and they have worked perfectly each and every time. Alexa can be hit and miss with voice commands but these switches are solid. They're also great for the rare times that your internet goes down (Which doesn't seem to be so rare around here). The switches use the bridge and your router to work. So even without an active internet connection you can still turn off and on your lights. Mounting to the wall was super simple. Each "base" includes sticky tape on the back and will mount straight to your wall with no additional tools or holes. I had this switch on my bedroom wall in under a minute. They are also magnetic! I have one in my kitchen that I put on the fridge. The magnet is very strong and it hasn't had any problem falling off, even with kids opening and slamming the fridge doors dozens of times a day. The switch itself includes 4 buttons. On, Off, a button for brighter, a button for Dimmer. You can set the on button to trigger different scenes for added functionality. Hit the On button once and scene bright is triggered. Hit it a second time and scene relax is triggered ect. There really isn't much to complain about with these switches. It's one of the rare Hue accessories that I think is actually fairly priced. I'll be adding a switch in every room in my house going forward.

Mounted this on my wall with included mounting tape and it blends right in like a normal light switch. Dimming and on/off capabilities are very useful and the fact that I can remove the switch and use it anywhere like a remote control is a plus.

I wanted an easier way to turn on my lights in my theater. This dimmer switch solves it. You can program the switch to a scene or certain lights. I have it programmed to the scene I use most often, and it still lets you dim or brighten said scene which is helpful. I also like that you can remove the dimmer from the wall plate and use it as a remote. Setup was very easy, just remove the battery tab and goto add devices in the app on your phone or tablet. The app found it right away and added it no problem. The only "issue" i have with it is that it is only available in white, which does not match any other switches in the theater. I may eventually go around and change all of the other switches and wall plates to white..but thats later on. Not a huge deal at all, just a minor detail.

Awesome accessory to add to you Hue system. Not only can you turn/on off and dim your Hue lights. You can also set up different scenes. Much easier than pulling out your phone and launching Hue app. Just press a button and it takes care of the rest. Wish they were smaller so they could be mounted in place of an actual decor style switch. Some thing like what Lutron makes. Little pricey at 25$, but sometimes on sale for $19

    Wireless remote

I came in to Best Buy to buy some wireless wall remotes for my Philips Hue lighting. Like always I found Gina D. at the mobile phone desk and told her what I was looking for. She immediately took me over to that department and pointed out what I needed and then she called Vanessa N. to help me out with any questions because she's in charge of that department, they are both very well organized and know their products. After explaining to Vanessa what I was looking for she pulled out a wireless switch that could be mounted on the wall that will control my lights but also is capable of coming off the wall due to magnetic contacts and being used as a handheld remote. This not only turns the lights on and off but will also allow you to dim them up and down so I purchased three. Once I got home it was extremely easy, I mounted them where I wanted them because they could be put anywhere and on any wall. I matched it to the lights for that room using the Philips Hub and within a couple of seconds I was able to turn the lights on and off and dim them up and down. There are no tools required it's simply sticks on the wall with a little 3M Tab and it gives you the ability to take the remote with you so during movie night you do not have to get up to change the lights. With great assistance and a fantastic product that made the installation so easy and enjoyable that I had control over the lights in no time at all. Thanks to the Philips design and the easy connect to the Philips Hub, I might purchase one or two more to use on my light strips instead of going to my phone's app.

Good Deal better option than Hue Tap

These are pretty good for what they are, I was initially going to get the Hue Tap, but you can get three of these for the price of one Tap. They set up easy and have on, off, dimmer and brighter buttons they can be set to single bulbs or bulb groups/scenes. Adhesive on the back is good for wall and also has to slots so cold be mounted by screws as well. They work great, now my younger kids can still use the lights normally and I can control them still with my phone since the actual light switch doesn't' need to be physically turned off. Another plus is we can put the switches where we want, some of the original switches in the house are in ridiculous places, lol. Good product, good price.

I wish all my Hue products worked as well as this. Installation is as easy as sticking it to the wall with the provided tape or mounting it similar to a light switch. The working parts of the switch are actually a small remote control you can easily disconnect from the housing (it uses magnets) and bring it with you to control the lights from anywhere within your house. Setup pairs the switch with a scene you have set up previously allowing one switch to turn on multiple lights in multiple colors and dim them all together.

I have multiple Philips Hue bulbs and light strips but no way to control them physically. I tried Samsung's Smartthings multi-sensor buttons but they disconnect too often and drain the battery, making them unreliable. These switches are about the same price as the Samsung buttons but are a much better product. You set them up directly in the Hue app and can toggle different lighting configurations. The switch is about the same size as a normal wall switch so it looks normal on the wall. The remote can be removed to carry around and the battery is still working to this day. I haven't had any issues with these remotes disconnecting. If you use mostly Philips Hue lights, please do yourself a favor and get a Switch from them. It just works.

I bought this switch for my bedroom. I mounted it right next to the other light/fan switches on the wall. Installation took about 30 seconds. I can walk in the room and without my phone turn on and dim the lights. It remembers the last color scheme you used. Then when I'm going to bed, I take the switch off the wall mount (held on by magnets) and set it on the nightstand. I'm very impressed with the quality and functionality of this switch. A must have for every room where you have a Hue lights.

    Awesome Smart Light Switch!

This smart light switch works extremely well. It is easy to set up with the Philips Hue Light app and you can assign what bulbs to control in groups or individually. You don't have to screw it into the wall to mount, you can just use adhesive tape it already has attached. The cool thing is that it can also just be taken off from the wall mount plate and acts as a remote to have by your nightstand. You can also program it to do different functions with the amount of clicks you have on the ON position. For example, two clicks to dim lights, or three clicks to go to brightest setting, etc. Overall, it's a great product that turn our guest room lights (which were not functional with a regular light switch) into a full working smart room when paired with other smart devices.

I love that they brought out a dimmer, which is comparable to the normal switch plates. It works great with bulbs on the network, and I tried it with bulbs not on the hub, as well. Nice to be able to use it independently in case you have lights you don't need to control by the phone app. Definitely recommend this, works great,

Works well with the lights in my bedroom and was very easy to set up. The only small issue I have is that sometimes it takes a few seconds for the lights to respond to the button presses, but that’s not such a problem that I would knock it a star. I stuck the mount to my wall right next to my light switch and it has had no issues staying there. The detachable remote is a great feature as well. Overall, this is a great product.

I picked this up so that my 4-year-old would be able to control the smart lights we installed in his room. The reason we installed smart lights in his room was because we wanted to make a sunrise effect to wake him up at the same time every day, and in a more natural way than an alarm clock. The smart lights work perfectly for this, but he was used to flipping the physical switch on & off, meaning that if he left the switch off at bedtime, the smart lights would not be able to do the sunrise effect in the morning. After installing the Hue Wireless Dimmer Switch, my son now turns his lights on & off with this instead of the original "dumb" switch (which cuts power to the smart bulbs). I couldn't be happier with how simple it was to setup and install.

A Great Addition to Our Hue Lights

It is ironic that we have moved from using switches with smart lights to voice activated, and now back to a switch (well technically both modalities may be used). We love this device for our living room Hue lights. It offers a nice compromise from having to get into the app on the smart phone to turn lights on, or even to use Alexa voice commands (something a bit of a nuisance in the middle-of-the-night letting the dog out to pee). I had a bit of a hard time getting it paired with the bridge, requiring several resets using the button on the back (I'm still not sure what the issue was), but once it paired, programming it in the Hue App was very straightforward, and offers many features. This switch can be mounted anywhere with the baseplate, and the actual remote is locked by magnets on the baseplate, making it super easy to remove if you need it to be mobile. It features on and off switches. Multiple taps of the "on" switch advances the lights through five different options of lighting scenes of your choosing; these are programmable in the Hue App. The two middle buttons are dimmers, allowing any one of the scenes you have selected to be dimmed to suit your taste. Overall, we really love this little device.

This is what should come with all Hue products. This control guarantees that you can have people over and still use the Hue products. I just wish that they could have made it match regular switch sizes so that it can leverage existing light switch plates so it would blend in

I live in an apartment, and have Hue lights throughout. If maintenance workers ever came into my home it would be extremely dark, and they would have no idea how to turn on any of my lights since none of the wall switches would work. I wanted a quick way for anyone to turn my lights on and off without a phone/tablet, and this fit the bill. I find it very useful for myself as well if I just want to quickly change the brightness of my lights or turn all the lights off - it's much quicker than using the app in that regard.
