Great Starter Drone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Protocol AP Drone is a great starter drone to get a feel of flying using thumb controllers if you are not familiar with them- I'm not - before you spend money on the more expensive Parrot's, Yuneeks and DJI drones. Picture quality is OK, but as I said do not compare with the more expensive drones.

I purchased the drone for my bonus son for Christmas and we really enjoyed it for the 10 minutes the battery lasted. We haven't had the opportunity to enjoy it outdoors yet ( we live in Michigan)

fun but poor battery life

As an engineer, I can tell you that this was most likely designed by a team working on their first product.

Excellent small quad/drone

Easy to set up and bind. In addition, it is very mild mannered. I don't use the video camera so I'll leave that for others.

A fun entry level drone.

Although the thing is a miracle (unbelievable what can be done in something so small) the camera really takes very poor quality pictures and video. A small upgrade by the manufacturer would get this rating up to a 4 or 5. That said - for a child's first drone, this is a winner.

Very fun drone for inside and outside

Has a few extra features than last model for the same price. Nice colors. Would recommend if you want something on a medium size scale for drones.

Battery only lasts about 6 minutes

A little complicated as each rotar blade is a little different and has to be installed in the correct spot or it will not fly. Broke one blade so far. It is being used by my 12 year old granddaughter and she picked up flying it pretty quickly.

Okay Drone, when it worked

Unfortunately after one hour of usage battery died and I was just unable to recharge it again. Ended up returning the device. Not sure if it was just a defective unit or if that what is expected from this product. Did not get another one.
