It turned out to be unusable because if it's set in TV mode and the channel is changed, it switches the TV's input to antenna. (It needs to be switched back to Cable to function.) Changing inputs isn't something that he will ever understand. Aside from that, it's a nice unit, especially for its low price.

This one is even better because it has the back-light feature & is easier to hold. The buttons are big & easy to use. Even though the "back" button does not work to go back to the previously watched channel/station, I still love this remote & would recommend it to anyone who needs a simple remote for a simple TV.
