This 55" 4K Roku smart TV replaces a 15 y/o 42" FHD non-smart TV that was beginning to die. I was already familiar with the Roku smart operating system, as I had previously used a Roku Streaming Stick 4K, which is why I decided to buy this particular TV. I am porting the audio to my analog stereo system via the headphone output, so I can't comment on the quality of the TV's built-in speakers. The picture is quite stunning, which is only marred but the extreme reflectivity of the screen such that I have turn off all bright lights and close the blinds on all windows. I do like the fact that Roku included composite video and analog audio inputs, so that I was able to connect my old VCR. I've owned this TV for 6 weeks at the time I am writing this review, and have not encountered any problems so far. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

So I purchased this as an open box item in "excellent condition". Upon bringing it home, it would not find any WIFI signals or connect to its own remote. After two weeks of going round and round with ROKU support they finally agreed to replace the TV. The new TV is amazing! Although we've bought TCL in the past I wanted to stick with the ROKU platform and TCL is now in bed with Google. I'm glad I did because the menus are simple and very snappy. The color of this TV is beautiful. I have no complaints. My only negative is dealing with customer "no-help". I'm sure all manufacturers are the same but they don't want to help you or honor their warranties. You have to stay after them to get any help.

I gotta start by saying, I REALLY love this tv! I’ve had it now since Nov 24. Best purchase I made last year. However, there’s one issues I’ve had that’s just really annoying. It’s not a feature I was looking for in a tv, but it came with it. The remote’s voice feature. It listens for “hey Roku” if you have it on. SOMEtimes it works fine, but the majority of the tv, the tv gets stuck on the stuck thing I saw, freezes up, then restarts itself. Super annoying that all it seems to be able to handle is “hey Roku” and then can’t even follow through with “switch to Hulu” or whatever. Everything else about this tv I love! I love the simplicity of the remote, it’s super easy to switch channels/apps by going back to the home page and selecting from there or by using the shortcut buttons at the bottom of the remote, the colors are great, size was perfect for my apt, sound is great, so many options for adjusting the brightness level and all that stuff. Really good tv and price wasn’t too bad either!

it is almost too big for the room. the details of the images are amazing. i did have to find and enter all of my streaming passwords. the remote is intuitive as well.

Much better sound and picture than my last TCL Roku 55" TV bought in 2016. Easy set up, although screws for feet did go in hard even though I pre-screwed the holes before attaching the feet. Excellent buy for the money, $100 off on sale.

Roku - 55" Class Plus Series QLED 4K Smart RokuTV. This TV has a great picture, nice sound with our soundbar and has a bit more bass sound than a lot of other TV brands. I like that. It sounds ok without the soundbar but we like surround sound. The style is sleek and looks good. The only bad thing I'm starting to notice (after a month) is the TV turning itself off at various times while watching a show. I'm very disappointed so far. I have two other Roku TVs in the house, and they've never had a problem after several years of using them. Hopefully I can get a replacement.

Excellent picture and audio. Built in Roku makes the use for streaming services seemless.

Bought this as an open box item because there was none left in my region to buy new. True to the reviews I read beforehand, this model was easy to set up, connected right up to a sound bar, and the picture quality was great. This will be used in our second home that may double as a STR, so the spoon feeding of streaming platforms is ideal.

Purchased as a replacement for a 10 year old vizio tv. The picture is beautiful. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Definitely glad i purchased a Roku tv.

I have had the TV for several weeks now. Initially, the picture quality was too vibrant and the faces red on video content. There is a advance picture setting menu. The way you access it is to play any video content and press the star button on the remote. From there you can access the advanced video settings which will format to all video content. I did contact Roku to resolve this issue and they were clueless. I came across the advanced video settings from somewhat by accident and a youtube video. The sound quality is good, although I am using ear buds to interfaced with Blue Tooth auto settings. Whenever you turn on the ear buds they automatically interface with the TV. Sometimes you have to manually connect the earbuds. So far I am very satisfied with the TV. The Roku environment and remote are very easy to operate. For the price point I would recommend this TV.

This is our first Roku TV. It was very easy to set up and start watching some programs. We downloaded some apps, which was very easy to do. The color and sharpness of what we have been watching seems quite good. We have found that customizing TV settings and Live channels has been very simple.

Excellent price, easy setup! This replaced a TCL that was damaged by an electricity surge. Nice sound without the soundbar and the remote has voice commands.

Exactly what I was hoping it would be. I am a "late adopter" so, this replaced a 42" Sony Bravia that still worked great. I've grown to really enjoy the Roku interface for all the various streaming apps I use, so did a lot of research on this TV made by Roku. We are using it in a finished basement so it is a fairly dark space with no issues of window glare. Picture is excellent and controls are simple to use to adjust for various types of watching. If you are familiar with the Roku interface, you'll appreciate the simplicity of having it built right in to the TV. I use it with a Sony speaker similar to a soundbar and it synced up to it easily (so I can't comment on the TV speakers alone). I also mounted it to the Insignia leg kit (linked below) so it would sit on my cabinet that is too narrow for the legs that come with it. We like our tv for the picture, the remote has headset capability, and best of all we can charge the remote with an usb port. The setup was easy. It comes on quickly and was easy to connect with our Roku speakers. We have noticed that the tv has frozen on several occasions and we have to unplug and plug it back in to unfreeze it.

Excellent picture quality for the price. Occasionally needs rebooted and loses Wi-Fi connection but it is rare. PS5 looks great on it, even though it's only 60hz.

This TV is easy to navigate, has sharp colors, and great audio quality. We thought our old Samsung TV was fine, but this is a noticeable improvement. Very user friendly!

The Roku Plus 55" QLED TV is definitely an upgrade to our TCL 49" LED set. The picture is nice and bright, colors are vivid, darks are rich, and it handles motion scenes well. All of this pairs with Dolby Vision for a really rich experience. Oh also, the auto brightness actually works well on this.

Perfect tv for my man space. Built in Roku provides seamless set up. Clear picture and syncs well with a sound bar. Worth the little price!

Setup was simple, HDMI arc connection to an AVR went smoothly, and the picture is clear as a bell. Color rendition and black backgrounds are amazingly vibrant. Two months in and I'm still impressed. The best part is the simple Roku operating system. It moves along with little hesitation, and has few ads. Definitely a keeper.

A great Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos experience. It's got HDR 10 plus and there's a lot to be discovered so far. The The HDMI 1 port is enhanced. Audio returned. It's the 2.1. it's the newest version now for HDMI and it really works well with the video and audio, especially if you have Adobe Atmos soundbar which is what I got. The Dolby vision and Adobe Atmos sound great. There's a lot of content through Netflix with it and see the there's HDR 10 plus enhancement. You have local dimming. You can use micro dimming and it's basically using zones of television to automatically adjust the contrast according to each song or seeing you've got a smart TV experience in the settings where if you're using cable for antenna, you can have automatic content recognition for you and it going smoothly. You know showing you the content you like and you know there's a lot more to be discovered. That's all I had for it
