We just installed our Samsung - 1.1 cu. ft. Smart SLIM Over-the-Range Microwave and sleek looking has a super intuitive touch pad. Many microwaves have you pushing multiple buttons to start it. This one is as easy as pushing in the the time to cook then pressing start. The 400 CFM ventilation is more than sufficient and it has three levels of intensity. So far we are happy with the unit and highly recommend it.

Works great and it’s beautiful. Because it’s a slim stove top design, it shows our backsplash in the kitchen way better. The vent and lighting are also great.

Very nice looking microwave enough features. Easy to install. Connects to Alexa easily. Only complaint is the keypad is not backlit,which makes it hard to see without my reading glasses. If it was it would get 5 stars

Great unit, I installed it to vent outside, and was very happy to see it moves a good amount of air. Like 80% of all the steam and food smells from the stove. Would definitely recommend. One thing that would make this microwave even better is if the key pad was backlit. It’s hard to find the buttons when heating up a late night snack/meal.

The otr microwave/hood vent combination does stick out past our standard size cabinets about 6" and didnt expect that at installation. I only measured width for the fit. Paired with a matching samsung gas range the package as a whole looks very nice and has a commercial kitchen feel to it. The microwave functions extremely efficient and has a beautiful easy clean finish with almost no hard to clean spots inside. The hood function took me by surprise by how strong it pulled air on high. Having 4 speed settings is nice for the vent. My favorite feature is the easy to remove and clean dual vent covers under the unit. Its very easy to keep it clean and nice. My only issue is the cabinets above it are about as useful as the ones tucked back over a fridge. I need a step stool to reach anything past my wrist with those extra 6" sticking out past the cabinets.

The size of this OTR microwave is exactly what we needed. I did not want a bulky unit because we don’t use a microwave on a daily basis. I like the slim and sleek design. I also wanted the room above my stove for when I am cooking. Works well and fits our needs for use, heats up your food evenly. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

This microwave was an upgrade for the Insignia .9 CF countertop unit I bought 3 years ago at BB that was still going strong, not the most powerful unit but served a purpose. At that time the low-profile "Slim" OTR microwaves were just becoming available and sold for in the $600 range. So I watched and waited. The planets aligned the first week of January 2024 when not only was there a sale at BB, but an excellent open box example popped up fairly locally in tax-free Delaware for a bit under $300. I pounced on it, I think someone literally opened the box and said, "nope not for me" and returned it, unit was pristine. I took my limited electrical skills to task, and removed the existing range hood, installed an electrical outlet in the cabinet and hung this microwave, total time invested was just about three hours, partally because I reversed the polarity on the new outlet and had to hit up YouTube and figure out my blunder! Pros: - Very fast cooking speed - The keypad beeps and boops are different tones depending on what you are doing, which I feel is a quality touch - I was surprised to discover that the interior light is a bright LED that allows easy viewing of the food! Cons: - Loud but effective 4 speed vent fan - common issue per other reviews - Surprisingly the light for the range hood section is halogen, not LED, but it does have low/high settings - Full-width door takes getting used to and could be an issue in a smaller kitchen If you see my photo, the unit is 18 1/2" above the smoothtop surface if that helps you make a decision, I certainly mulled it over long enough. Definitely recommend this unit, it truly enhanced my kitchen without ripping out and trying to build/find a shorter cabinet over the range.

I was a little skeptical buying this only because it is a samsung but this is by far the best microwave i have owned. i wanted a low profile to utilize my space above my stove and i couldn't be happier! I love the finish and the fact it is compatible with an app. Also it is really powerful i don't have to heat up items as long as I used to! I did not use as many tools as I thought, I only used more than normal because we were converting from wired to a plug, which was a huge upgrade! i will be recommending!

I like the smaller height of this OTR microwave. It does stick out a little more than my other one it replaced. It works as its supposed to and does a good job. Though it isn't as tall as others, it fits everything i have put into it. Things i don't like are the touch buttons on the door, they don't light up so i can't see them without turning on kitchen lights at night.

I love this microwave, it heats up any food you put in super fast. It looks so cool and the wifi features are so convenient and very reliable. The vent system is the best i've seen in action which actually does a really amazing job at taking out all that cooking odor left behind, and is so easy to clean any spills if any.

I love this microwave and its demotions! It fits perfectly above our stove and works great!

Do you want to confuse guests? This one definitely hits the mark. Is it a pizza oven? Is it an air fryer? Is it the future? You can sit back and laugh knowing it heats up your leftovers lol. Spacious, practical, and will be know as the “Wave of the future”.

What an amazing product, we recently replace our microwave as our old one that we had for over 12 years finally gave out. My wife wanted to replace it but wanted something that would not take to much space and this was the perfect fit. Needless to say it looks great, it is slim and has a lot of space for bigger plates. Love the wireless features and the ease of cleaning.

Great size and high powered microwave. Perfect for our small space. Very family friendly. The connection to the wifi is a wonderful feature with the voice commands.

Samsung makes great products but this one is exceptional with 400 air ventilation!

When my GE microwave died I was looking to replace with a like model. Unfortunately it was a non standard size a would require some demo to fit. I decided to look for a more slim design. Samsung really did well with this microwave. It is about 5 inches smaller in height than the standard models but it does have a lot of interior space. The cooking/heating presets are great and fan has 4 speeds which makes it nice for cooking. WiFi feature is easy to connect and syncs up nicely with Alexa. I am very happy with the purchase. On the negative, it is quite pricey but fits my needs. Would nightly recommend for those who want a more slim modern design in their kitchen.

Before and after installation of Samsung 1.1 cu over the range microwave. Replaced 6+ yr old microwave (cooking hood fan not working). Was hesitant to get the Samsung 1.1 because of low height inside microwave but it seems its all we need. Realized we do not use cups or bowls taller than 10 inches anyways. Gives a modern look, more cooking space above stove and the hood fans are powerful even at speed 2. Fan can be VERY loud at 4 but hood fans are normally loud. This type of OTR microwave makes small kitchens look spacious.

Love this microwave! We love the fact that it is slimmer than most, so we have plenty of space between the stove top and the microwave. It works very well.

This is the best purchase I have made. Fit just perfect above the stove. Love that I can control through the App. Easily lock and unlock. Looks great.

Great little microwave! Had to purchase due to larger microwaves not allowing enough clearance above our stove, but I'm glad we got this, I love the low profile. The smart features are rather gimmicky, as it almost always more convenient and faster to just use the buttons on the microwave itself, but they're totally optional and easily ignored and are not intrusive to the operation of the microwave whatsoever.
