Customers recognize the 24" Tall Tub Built-in Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub as impressively quiet and a powerful cleaner of dishes. Positive feedback also highlights its spacious interior and ease of use, although some users mention challenges with the rack design and a few experienced reliability issues. The stainless steel appearance receives praise, but a lingering odor was reported by a small number of users.

Doesn't dry dishes or inside of unit after cycle

This dishwasher does not dry dishes or inside of unit. Pots and pans faced down were still wet inside after the cycle was over. Plastic is completely wet. The inside of the machine is still wet 2 days after the last load was removed. Now the inside of the unit has an odd smell likely due to the water remaining in the unit. I have to hand dry about 80% of the dishes before placing in cabinets. I followed the directions by using a rinse agent and sanitize option to optimize drying but it didn't work. The bottom rack is designed for plates and larger items. There is no place to put small to medium bowls. The upper rack does not move in and out as smoothly as it should. The fold down tines are a nice feature. The unit is very quiet. Overall it cleaned the dishes but did leave a few food particles on heavily soiled spoons. The space between the bottom and upper racks is nice. This allows for larger items such as cookie sheets to be placed in bottom rack. The food disposal is a nice feature as most dishwashers have a filter instead of a disposal.

I loved this dishwasher until 3 weeks ago when it gave an error code showing that there was an internal leak. Service techs have been out 3 times to replace parts and I am waiting for them to schedule a fourth appointment. After 2 of the visits we were told that they did not believe the item was repairable. Samsung instructed them to replace additional parts each time. The techs have hung up on me or not returned my phone calls inquiring several times. Samsung refuses to hold them accountable for their poor service. I have spent 4 hours on the phone with Samsung customer service in the past 3 days and no one cares whether I ever get a functioning dishwasher. I will never purchase another Samsung product of any kind!

Brand response from MsSamsung

Hi Dean83,
I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your DW80F800 Dishwasher. Since I don't know which codes you're seeing I can't offer specific suggestions, but many issues can be addressed by following the instructions in the Information Code section of the User Manual (see page 26), or by referring to the Troubleshooting Guide on Samsung's website.
I hope these resources will help you find the solutions you need. Thank you, Ms. Samsung

The tines for holding dishes are not very user friendly. Not very convenient for pots and pans. Or maybe it is because we were used to another brand. Also the dw does not seem to dry completely.

This is a really great dishwasher, I can watch TV in my kitchen while washing my dishes. I use a drying agent and my glasses are dry and spotless.
I love the adjustable racks and an area to place soiled pots and pans that gives it a more powerful wash spray

I am very unhappy with this product. This is a review for Samsung dish washer Model Number: DMT800RHS/XAA.
Unfortunately I am unable to enter this feedback on the Samsung website.
I have this dishwasher for 2 yrs and 4 months. I have the following issues
1. Within the 1st six months the Top rack adjuster broke. the plastic piece that broke got stuck and got the dishwasher to a stop. Out of service for a week until the technician came to fix it. As it was in warranty it was replaced. The technician mentioned that this was a common problem and Samsung is replacing it free of cost. Within 3 months of replacing it the clips holding the rack broke again. Once after warranty it costs around $33 USD to replace it.
2. Within 6 months the top rack plastic coating started melting in some places. No idea why. and he metal inside is rusting in thise places.
3. The bottom rack rubber grip is sticky to feel. It is not dirty. It is a bad quality product. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Good appliance but has design issues

On my second spring in two years. Going to buy a spare this time. The design places the spring and string in a position to cause wear and the door is opened many times a day.

Error Code King

you will need it to troubleshoot all of the error codes you will get. We have been cursed with this dishwasher for about 6 years now, and without fail, we get a new error code about once a month. Most of the time it is due to gunk buildup in the water inlet, a flat plastic maze that the water runs through as the dishwasher goes through its cycles. It is quite as it would error so much We have bought the extended warranty and we have been with BB all the time never again We would by a Samsung Dishwasher, They make good phones but not appliances, would stay away.

Dishwasher door leaked from day one. Customer support is glacial. Obviously a known fault. Service eventually replaced the control board. Still leaks.

Get Extended Warranty if you want to own this junk

Bought this in 2011 and it stopped working at around 2 years. It runs quiet but its not reliable. Called Samsung and they were not willing to help as it was outside the warranty period. I would recommend to anyone wanting to buy to get additional extended warranty. Extremely unhappy.

This dishwasher is absolutely awful. If you're strictly washing plastic it might work well, but it does not wash glass dishes well at all. Cups that are nearly clean prior to starting the dishwasher will be dirtier after the cycle is ran and will be full of dirt. If you're searching for somewhere to store dirty dishes until you have time to hand wash them this might be a good investment for you, otherwise I would highly recommend you keep shopping. The cycles seem insanely long compared to the last dishwasher we owned as well. It also does not dry dishes well at all, they are soaking wet and dirty afterwards. It looks nice with our other appliances but is not functional at all. We love our other Samsung appliances (fridge, washer, dryer, and microwave) but are very unhappy with this product.

I bought this dishwasher and was thinking how great it looks and I loved the pot scrubber inside. Within the first 90 days the stainless had a water stain that could not be removed and the only warranty that for 30 days they said. I have owned this product for about 8 months. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever used! It smells terrible inside from the stainless steel like a really bad chemical smell, it does not clean well, and when you are sanitizing the load of dishes it has steam venting out the bottom on my wood floors. When I called the service center they told me to just open each time the sanitize cycle goes on. WHAT??!! Who has the time for that? Horrible product and horrible customer service from Samsung!!

So unhappy with Samsung dishwashers. I have had really bad luck with Samsung dishwashers. Tried two different models and neither model washed well. Tried several different cycle combinations and the dishes will not get clean. Returned one model and upgraded to the next dishwasher and still... Dirty dishes. I love my microwave, stove and fridge.. Just received my kitchen aid dishwasher and hope I get clean dishes as a result.

Leak Problems

Very quiet but after only 1 month, an error message of "LE" started flashing. This stands for LEAK ERROR. Tech recommended replacement, and Samsung agreed. Too leery of having more problems to get another Samsung dishwasher.
