The sound from this system is good, especially for a small to average size room. I bought the satellite speakers to mount behind the seating area. Setup was straight-forward and simple. The wires on the satellite speakers are color-coded, so setup is a breeze. The satellite speakers connect up to the main module fine, but aren't particularly loud. You notice ancillary noises from movies and TV. If you have a larger room, you'll need a more powerful system. But for the average user, it works just fine. Avoid the hassle of setting up cheaper systems and having to return them for being too weak. Start looking at this system and go up from there if you need more power etc

This soundbar provides great sound for the price. Easy setup and control. Subwoofer does not project like others I have heard, but for the money it is a good addition to my new TV.

Over all great sound bar and sub, Bass is great for movie or tv and video games. Low volume for movie and tv dialogue no matter what setting I use except for sport sound. Disadvantage is when some comes up tv or movie gets way to loud. Over all very good.

We have an older 50" TV and the sound was starting to fade really bad. This has been a perfect interim solution until we save up the courage to purchase a full receiver and sound system. It produces very clear voices that are easy to hear in front of background music (one the big issues with our TV sound). The subwoofer that comes with it leaves a little to be desired. It's very faint, and we've definitely watched TV without realizing the subwoofer hadn't connected. Definitely recommend for a quick punch of sound, but if you have the time and money, it's not comparable to a good receiver.

Amazing sound quality, and very easy to use. We went with this sound bar because of it's Bluetooth capability. Although I cannot control it from my iPhone, I can connect with my iPhone and play music. The only con is that Bluetooth is extremely sensitive. If you take your phone anywhere that is not in direct sight of the speaker, it breaks up. Even if you are just 2 feet away... if there's a wall in between the speaker and your phone, the connection is spotty. Not a huge problem for me, just took a little getting used to. Overall, I would absolutely buy this product again.

I bought this sound bar for their Pre Black Friday sale and I have been very impressed with the quality of sound. I have watched nearly a dozen action movies with this sound bar, I wish there was a little more bass from the subwoofer which is why I am only giving it 4 stars but the clarity of the voice almost makes up for it. I also have a Samsung smart tv which is why I went with a Samsung bar instead of another brand. You can set the bar to "TV" and your tv and sound bar will automatically connect with no difficulties whatsoever. I hope this sound bar is able to last me many years.

Hooked it up to a Samsung TV so it was completely plug and play. Set up was just using it's remote to set up my preferences for sound type (it took about 15 seconds). WAY better than old style with 6 speakers and miles of wire to route!

I was willing to spend a lot more money on a potentially better sound bar for my new Samsung TV. I looked at a lot of much more expensive models but kept coming back to how great this system sounded for a fraction of the price. I have been using it now for a few months and I'm still very impressed. It works great in conjunction with my Samsung TV and turns on and off automatically with the TV's power, all connect via one HDMI cable. It has full sound and surprisingly good base. I would highly recommend this product!

Bought this because we just could not get clear sound out of our flat screen when watching movies. This sound bar not only booted the sound but cleared it up so when we watch a movie we can hear and understand everything

Sounds really good, especially with the rear speakers that were included for free the special offer. Love the fact that it has Bluetooth which I use with the iPad and iPhone to play music. I used the ARC HDMI connection (instead of optical) with my Samsung TV so that on remote can control the power and volume. Very happy with the purchase since I couldn't afford a $1K sound system. I adjusted the bass up higher and the rear speakers to high (6) and it created good sound flow in my smaller living room with an open, vaulted ceiling.

I purchased the Samsung HW-K550/ZA sound bar to go with a Samsung TV that I had recently purchased. Setting up the sound bar could not have been easier. It was literally plug it in, turn it on and let it pair with the TV. It now works with the TV remote and provides great sound for the room. I set the sound profile for my listening tastes and it really feels like I am at the events when I watch sports or movies. I would definitely get this system again in the future if I were to replace another TV system.

Pros: Easy to install and set up, no display / lights on all the time to detract from the viewing experience, wireless subwoofer Cons: Wires exposed for soundbar, volume scale not linear (you don't get good volume until you're well above half volume), small display makes it hard to know what feature you're adjusting, low volume levels useless (have to switch to TV speakers at night to not disturb others in the house) When you're watching something with a lot of action, the sound is pretty good and the subwoofer definitely adds depth. Viewing when there's no risk of disturbing others gives the best sound. Low volume use is pretty much worthless as dialog can't be understood. While this bar has a "center channel", it doesn't seem to handle the decoding very well as dialog doesn't come through clearly all the time. While setup and installation are basically easy, the manual has pretty much zero information about what the different setting do or which ones to use for different setups. Coming from a full DTS Surround Home Theater setup (that didn't have a subwoofer), this setup is disappointing. I'll definitely be looking for a full subwoofer and will be setting my full Home Theater setup back up again. I've avoided it until this point because it's not a small undertaking in the current house. If you want a complete audio add-on that's "decent", this one will work. But, I suspect that there are better options out there at this price point.

Really improves the sound of my Samsung 50" 4K TV. Has a lot of adjustments to tailor bass/treble levels. Makes dialog easier to understand. Connected thru digital output of TV which enables turning sound unit on when TV is turned on. Haven't figured out why it doesn't turn unit off when TV power is turned off... Wireless connection to Iphone is ok. Sounds better when plugged directly into 3.5mm headphone jack of course. Would recommend, especially when you can catch a sale price.

After three months of ownership I have zero regrets. I have the HW-K550 Soundbar paired with the SWA-8000S/ZA wireless rear surround speakers. The room is a large open family room/dining/kitchen area and I have the sound bar sitting on a swivel along with an LG 55EG9100 display connected via HDMI ARC. I can watch the display from all the way across the space and still get clear rich sound and dialog from the 3.1 channels of sound bar while only setting the volume to 30 (it goes to 50) All of the 5.1 multi-channel content I have listened to through the soundbar/wireless rear combo has been great. While I think a full receiver/wired 5.1 speaker combo may sound better, I fully enjoy what I get out this 5.1 combo and don’t miss all the wires and extra components. I spent some time adjusting the various settings on the sound bar until I hit a combo that works well for just about all the content I listen to. The wireless subwoofer is a bit underwhelming, but the level is adjustable via the soundbar and I think it gives just enough bass so as not to shake the whole house but to fit the content you are listening to just fine.

I have been thoroughly impressed with this system I purchased. I remember years ago you needed a whole living room full of speakers to add up to the quality sound you get from this product. It makes movies and daily TV an enjoyment to watch, you wouldn't believe the tones and bass strikes that you miss with out having a quality product like this. This is a great product for someone who is looking for great quality sound at a good price and something that is compact.

My wife purchased in-store as a Christmas gift for the family. BB associate provided extensive assistance, walking her through the pros and cons of "at least ten different models." Two weeks in, I can't imagine a better fit for our new TV (also a Samsung), the room, and our lifestyle. Sensational sound quality, and ridiculously simple. We just turn it on, and the TV instantly recognizes it. No wires, and everything goes through our small TV remote. Super slick.

This Soundbar has really good sound and works great for most TV shows and will upgrade the sound from most any TV. The Bass is a little lacking when watching Movies with big special effects and explosions and such and also when listening to music. You have to have the system quite loud before the Bass is noticeable even with the Subwoofer all the way up. The Set Up is very easy. The Bluetooth works Great, Easier connection than any of my dedicated bluetooth speakers.

A sound bar has been on my radar for quite some time. After speaking with a few Best Buy associates, I decided on this model. I do not regret it! It has great sound for the price, and the kids love that they can connect their phones to the speaker for music. The Best Buy associates were extremely helpful in this purchase and the price was very competitive. It was easy to set up and even easier to mount on the wall. Definitely worth it for the money.

I purchased this due to the fact that we were hosting a super bowl party this year. Got lucky and caught a deal for this set along with the wireless rear speakers (160W). The sound bar and speakers were perfect not only for the game, but also watching movies, playing video games, and TV shows. Clear sound, easy set up and synchronization with my 55 inch Samsung curved TV to give me the ability to control the sound bar with the same remote as my TV.

Got the 550 soundbar for my 55KS8000 and it works awesome. Pros: 1. Good Sound Cons: 1. Getting it connected is hard; had to talk to tech folks who had to remotely access my TV. Very poor instructions both online or the manual it came with. Invested couple of hours and I am tech savvy person. At the end, I could only have it connected with Bluetooth 2. The optical cable it came with is plastic and broke the first instance i tried to hook it.
