I bought this set after we moved into a new home and my wife wanted to de-clutter and not have the entire A/V set up taking a lot of the living room. I am very pleased with the sound quality. There are a couple of presets that tweak the settings for what you are watching to really make it easy for even the most novice person. I did buy the rear speakers for the set and those fit in very nicely with it. Overall I'm very happy with this.

Great speaker system i love Watching movies and Nba games with the amazing sound i get from this bar. Oh and the sub is amazing makes your feel like you’re at a movie theater

I usually stick to the same brand of electronics in order to not have issues with the syncing. I was amazed and love this Yamaha Sound Bar. Thank you Best Buy! Great advice!

I had an older Sony Soundbar tube that just sounded like the voices were coming out of a tin can, muffled and not loud in comparison to the background tracks. Bought this unit since it was on a deal where I also received the Bluetooth surround speakers. I have nothing but good things to say about this system. Gone are the days of having the remote in my hand to constantly adjust the volume on the tv. Would buy this one again.

Samsung makes great electronics. All my TV's are Samsungs. This soundbar is better than the lesser priced Vizio's I own. While the soundbar is good it can't touch the Bose Home Theater system I own. Then again it also doesn't touch the price. At the end of the day it's a good, solid soundbar.

This is probably the least-expensive surround sound system I've seen. I bought the 3.1 version and then added rear speakers for another $100. The end result is a very inexpensive yet completely functional 5.1 system with a few wires. This is not a top of the line audiophile dream, but for casual movie and tv viewing it's way better than stereo speakers that come with flat panel TVs. Very happy with the price and the quality.

I am blown away by how great this soundbar performs. I purchased to replace a 5.1 home theater setup in a movie/game room and the clarity and sound quality is a HUGE upgrade. Very simple to hook up and use and the bass from the subwoofer is more than sufficient. Paired with the wireless rear speakers which really rounded out the experience. For less the $300, the sound quality is fantastic and I couldn't be happier.

We were hating TV, couldn't hear people talk but music and sound effects were jarringly loud. Plugged this bar in and now we enjoy it again. Great with music apps!

We’re using this as our second tv not expecting too much and we’re we surprised. Synced right up with our Samsung tv without us doing anything. Highly recommend

I replaced an old Sony surround sound system. I was hesitant to go with a sound bar, but I have been pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. There are several settings, and the clear voice setting has been helpful as I often struggle to separate voice from background sounds. If the wireless rear speakers (purchased separately) worked better, I would give it 5 stars. Very pleased with sound quality vs. price paid.

Wanted a soundbar to replace old Bose surround sound system and not have to deal with clutter of wires. Samsung sound bar was simple to setup, connected TV and Xbox. Simple to use and cable remote works great to control volume. auto on/off with TV makes it easy. Wireless rear speakers also works great. Sounds great in 18x12 living room, clear sounds, good bass. Good balance of sound quality and price.

This is a great sound bar especially for the price. It was on sale $100 off. Gives you several choices to adjust the sound. We could not believe the difference from just the TV going to a sound bar. Everything is so much clearer. Very easy to set up since I read the other reviews. The optical input has a little piece of plastic on the end be sure to remove that so you have a secure connection.

Outstanding 3.1 soundbar system with sub and paired with Samsung rear speakers for surround sound. Don't waste your money on 2.1 soundbars! Get this

Buying this sound system was a splurge and not a planned purchase. The price difference for this and the next rating down was only $50 so I went for it. Our friend checked the reviews after the purchase and they were very positive. He hooked it up for us and we absolutely love the sound and it has made the entertainment process so much better. No problem at all with set up or performance.

Snagged this as an open box item and I couldn't be more pleased. The quality of sound is great and fills our downstairs entertainment area with crisp sound. Music, movies and games all sound impressive. The Subwoofer isn't by any means powerful, but it does help add some depth to the overall sound scape by complimenting those low notes.

Soundbar was easy to setup. Its in my bedroom and my tv is older so arc doesn't work, but sound quality is great. Bass really booms if you put it in a corner, other wise kind of flat. Only issue I have with it is it occasionally turns itself on for no reason and I cannot figure out why. It seems the more wi-fi and bluetooth enabled items in my house, the more screwy everything becomes.

I purchased this because our very expensive big bar just quit working, so I needed something for the holidays, when family arrives. The sound on this with the satellite speakers is awesome for the money. I was completely shocked. It has a sound that is crisp and clear. Now of course this isn't a Bose system but if you are on a budget. Best one by far and very easy to set up.

I waited a long time to purchase this soundbar to go with my Samsung tv. Well worth the wait. Setup was easy and the sound is remarkable.

I was looking at the Vizio SB4051 40" soundbar 5.1 system prior to purchasing the Samsung HW-K550 37" soundbar 3.1 system. I had read good and bad reviews for the Vizio system. Great sound, great price, but repeatedly poor/lost pairing with the sub and rear speakers. The Vizio would not pair with the TV it was connected to in the BB store nor pair with Bluetooth devices, so that confirmed the negative reviews that I had read and it was time to look for a different soundbar. The Samsung HW-K550 37" soundbar and sub 3.1 system had a great price on an after Christmas sale. And adding the SWA-8000S rear speakers made the full 5.1 system still less expensive than the Vizio 5.1 system. The sound quality of the HW-K550 is very good. The sub adds to the fullness of the sound. It does require turning the Sub to +6 and the Bass to +6 to get the full effect. It is nice that the wireless sub comes out of the box already paired with the sound bar. I have unplugged the sub from power a few times. As soon as it is plugged back into power it immediately pairs with the soundbar. The soundbar settings are fairly easy to navigate from the display with the readout on the soundbar. Adding the SWA-8000S rear speaker kit is a MUST if you want a full surround sound experience. And they are easy to pair with the soundbar.
