Its probably overkill for a single guy, but I like it.

The washer was great until it started making a violent shaking sound regardless of load size. It was replaced twice with no change. Techs said it was not supposed to perform like that. Could not use dreft baby detergent for baby's clothes. Having to constantly dry after every wash is time consuming to prevent mold. This type of washer is not for everyone.

The washing machine is good. It gets clothes clean, but make sure you turn the sounds off because the music can get annoying.

Clothes turn out stiff and scratchy, takes too long to wash a load of clothes, machine not leveled properly by company where I purchased the washer. I would NOT recommend this product for the price you have to pay. I cannot think of anything good about the product.

I have had this washer for 3.5 years and it does not work. Said no drain error code. A service company came out and said the drain pump needed to be replaced. After an $85 service call and $215 for the part and the tech has been out 3 additional times it still gives the same error. Attempting to work with Samsung to get it replaced but not sure if that will happen or not. At this point, over a month into the process and being told 3 separate times it is fixed and it still not working, the service center not returning my calls, etc...grrr

I pulled my over 20 year old washer and dryer out two days before I got the new set and was glad I did because I found the old water shut off valves, the water hammer tubes and the gas shut off were old and not up to code. The last thing I wanted was water or gas problems so I spent $150 replacing all that myself. It was worth it, everything hooked up nicely and I know I will not have any future problems. The machines work nicely. Very quiet, most time the loudest noise is the clothes flopping over in the drum and it is next to my bedroom and kitchen. Uses very little water, just enough to wet the clothes. You almost think it is not using water at all. Clothes come out very clean and fresh, I now know how bad my old machine was! Cycles do take longer but they come out so dry that the dryer does not take as long. This machine only has the basic cycles but its all I need. I am very happy with this purchase. Best Buy delivery guys were on time and very polite too.

Bought this to replace a dead Kenmore Front Loader from about 13 years ago. The price on these things hasn't changed very much over the years, but the features and electronic controls have. Does take a while to do a load of laundry, but the bigger capacity 3.6 cubic feet versus 3.1 of the old one helps out, as does the sanitize mode and the pure cycle (empty washer cleaning mode). Child lock works well, as does the feature to add another garment to the washer for the first bit of time that the cycle is running.

This was our first W/D set we had to buy for an apartment so we decided to be different and try a front loading washer. Although the maintenance is a bit more on a front loader, the water and energy saved makes up for it! All you have to do is drain the bottom of the washer of any excess dirty water about once a month and clear the debris trap in the base and the debris/hair in the doorway lip catch. The dryer has this fantastic sensor built in so it adds or subtracts time as needed to get your clothes perfectly dry without damaging them! As most advanced sets, you really don't need all the settings it comes with but it's helpful to have a variety to choose from including the sanitize mode for those blankets after a few days of having a cold. This is a great starter set for anyone with a new apartment or home looking for a intermediate level front loading washer/dryer! Lastly, these can be stacked with a stacking kit, as well as they can be put on drawer stands for an extra $200 or so each.

Our last washer a top loader used alot of water and soap, its spin cycle was shot. The new washer uses much less water and soap and its spin cycle is amazingly fast. The cothes are almost dry,slightly damp when the cycle is done. So the washer saves on water, saves on dryer usage. This washer has the right amount of features that we would use.
