Our last washer died and we were forced to buy a new washer. I knew I wanted a front loader and my husband knew he wanted it to be fairly inexpensive. Enter Best Buy and the Samsung. There was an awesome deal at the time, so we got a great price on the washer and dryer (see separate dryer review). I've had it for about a week and washed at least 20 loads with no trouble. The pair looks really nice (we had them stacked) in our newly remodeled laundry room and it is super quiet. The loads come out nearly dry so drying time tends to be pretty short. I had trouble washing a queen comforter (the washer wouldn't spin) but a queen quilt washed without incident. I love the little melody the washer plays to let me know a load is finished! Regarding the mold issue, I've been very diligent, drying the rubber gaskets and leaving the door open and we also have a ceiling fan in the laundry room that I leave on. I obviously haven't had a problem in just a week, but I can see how it could be a problem if you aren't careful.

I purchased this washer during memorial day sale. I got it for $570. I am on a tight budget so I was worried this washer may have some issues since I got it so cheap but I haven't had any so far. It washes great and is very efficient. I had to use Spray and Wash Stain Remover with my other washer on tough stains but I haven't had to use it with this one so it really cleans clothes very well. It's also very quiet which is a plus with a newborn at home.

It's water and energy efficient which means it might not get out those tough stains or clean heavily soiled items. I haven't tried the 'heavy' soiled setting on the normal setting, maybe that will work. I like the washer, but it vibrates a lot during the spin cycle and it's somewhat loud.

It cleans our clothes well and is cheap to operate. The chime is annoying at the end.

I've had this washer with the dryer for a couple months now and have had no problems. I was shocked that it plays a full length MIDI song when it's done (differs from the dryer song), it's pretty cute. I love it. This washer is SO quiet, and does a great job. It can fit a lot! I'm even more happy I got this at an AWESOME deal.

I've had this washer for nearly six months now, and I'm very satisfied. It has a matching Samsung drier stacked on top of it in my tiny little laundry closet and it works beautifully. I have had one minor problem that wasn't in the owner's manual so I had to contact Samsung support, who had me cycle the circuit breaker to get the thing out of error state. That was months ago and I haven't had a hint of a problem since - and it might have been due to me putting a tad too much HE detergent in. Anyway, I have no complaints. The washer has plenty of cycles and options, and the controls are reasonably intuitive, easy to use. Anyone can kind of just walk up and start using the controls, no need to study a lot. But to take advantage of some of the advanced features, you might need to read up a bit in the manual. The washer does make some annoying "music" beeps when it's done, but at least that's easily distinguishable from the beeps I get from my range kitchen timer, microwave and dishwasher. :)

Decided to go with a front loader and I love it! I love the "sanitize" option to use when washing towels and my scrubs! Very quiet and gets clothes very clean!

I've had this product for a little of a year, so its not that old, and the wire harness where one of the wires connects to one of the connectors broke off. I ordered the part from Home Depot because best buy doesn't sell parts and they had to order it from Samsung directly. I ordered the part over a month ago but it is back ordered so I will probably have to wait at least another month for my washer to get fixed. The problem with the wire harness is that, where the wire snapped off, it was connected with a small screw that is basically just barely hanging in there. And unless you have best buys extended warranty it will cost over $200 to fix, which I always get the extend warranty but I was deployed when the one year warranty wore off and I didn't see the email. But from what I have read up on about lot of these Samsung washers is that a lot of them can have this problem with the wire harness and since the only way to get parts is basically going directly through them it is just a pain. Overall this product does its job when it was working. But I will never buy a Samsung washer ever again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

This product is very quiet. However, the kids soiled clothes come out the same way they went in but wet. There is no option to soak whites, therefore, the whites now look grey and they're still dirty. The soiled clothes are also still dirty, even after using the heavy duty cycle. But with the new HE fabric softeners, at least they now smell fresh.
