After 4 month of use the display panel got separated from the TV itself and It got damaged and they dont repair because they just said it was a 3 month warranty instead a 1 year warranty that i was told when i bought it.

Trying everything possible to make full picture on tv you pay for 50 in of tv an will be ready to get only 40 in of the screen u can see full screen on air tv or some app but not on any movie on any app they just gray out the options to fit the screes and on their samsung page they have the ridiculous explanation.... some movies wouldn't fit the screen im about to return this tv

Thank you for purchasing the DU6900 TV. Please know that HD channels will have black bars on either side of the screen when displaying upscaled SD (4:3) content. Black bars will appear at the top and bottom of the screen when watching movies with aspect ratios different from your TV. Adjust the picture size options on your external device or set the TV to full screen. Go to: Home > Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Size Settings > Picture Size

Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation – laid on its side or tilted – during transit, damage could have been done.

I purchased this TV a couple of weeks ago to replace a 15 year old Samsung LCD that was a higher end model at the time with a fantastic picture. I was concerned about going from 120Hz to 60Hz because motion problems and judder really annoy me. I've found this TV to handle motion very well with the exception of a few channels or a few programs. The judder control fixes that, but I find I have to turn it off again when I switch back to another channel. It's so few channels or programs where it happens that it's fine. The motion setting itself dims the picture substantially and creates some odd pulsing. So I don't use that either. Don't need it. It took me a while to get it calibrated to how I like it, but once I did I felt like this picture is fantastic especially for the price of $250. The picture is sharp with nice contrast and black levels.
The viewing angle is decent, but can definitely tell a difference off center. This doesn't bother me because I have it in the bedroom directly in front of the bed. It also has a dimming feature based on the ambient light. I find that it works ok and not as good as my old Samsung. It seems to stay a little dimmer than I would want during the day, but I don't often watch it during the day. It's full of adjustments that one might not normally find in a lower priced TV. There are adjustments for nearly any picture setting (although I miss backlight in my old TV as this one just adjusts brightness, it's still ok). It does have a sleep timer and it can handle voice commands (the remote that comes with it is not a voice remote though). I'm not a fan of the remote. I miss all the buttons of the old Samsung remote that has shortcuts, especially sleep timer. The good news is that the old Samsung remote works with this TV. It's not perfect, but does the job. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase especially for the price.

The Samsung TV is such a reliable and easy TV to own. The picture is sharp and the sound is excellent. I like this brand so much that I have 3 of them in different rooms and sizes. The Smart TV features are great and I like that I can tap into the internet with them. Samsung is pushing boundaries. They give the best hardware, memory, ram, processor, display, and cameras, in their phones. They are simple to operate and have had no issues.

This Samsung 50 in. UHD is a major step up for me, stepping up from a not so smart 37 in. that we used in the den (aka. . . man cave). We stepped up with a new internet dish, cutting the old TV dish off and now we are streaming and have wonderful internet service (of which was not available). The TV was easy to set-up and get to streaming. It has a wonderful picture quality and we are pleased with the ease of operation and ability to dial it in to suit your personal taste. The TV is tied via the eARC HDMI port to a 5.1 receiver which feeds a 2.1 system (a pair of floor columns and a sub). Streaming TV's. . . Life is good ! ! A great tv to watch . . . . I recommend the DU6900 tv with Samsung quality.

I just got the Samsung DU6900 TV, and I love it! The picture is super clear, and the colors really pop. Watching movies and shows feels so much better now, especially with how bright and detailed everything looks. It was really easy to set up, and setting up all the apps using the QR codes from my phone. I use mostly Netflix and YouTube they work perfectly. I have a Vizio TV and the Apps tend to lag. Not a problem with this TV. The TV itself is slim and looks great in my bedroom, it doesn’t take up too much space. Switching between apps and devices is quick and easy, and the remote is easy to figure out. For the price, this TV is definitely worth it. I’m really happy with it!

Overall, very happy with this purchase of this TV for our bedroom - picture is great, streaming setup was not too obnoxious. We hired a contractor to do the wall installation - would not recommend this unless you have mad DIY skills. The one fault is that the remote is cheesy - lacks features & really difficult to operate in the dark. I super hate these new remotes that offer smart buttons for streaming channels - if I don't use a particular service, what's the use of this smart button?!?

Currently own the previous iteration of this TV and it is perfect. Hasn’t skipped a beat. Primarily used with the integrated streaming services and never have any issues. Bought the updated model for my in-laws and they rave about the TVs convenience. The remote is serviceable but lacks numbered buttons so if that is something you require, keep that in mind. Perfect picture and a consistent experience. The TV does what it does and does it well.
