I use Apple rv and the stock remote does pretty much everything. Just can’t set it up as Apple TV or you need line of sight vs cec Sports are awesome to watch

The TV itself has great picture. It's very bright, great colors, great contrast. The main issue with the TV is the ARC-CEC function which connects all devices (soundbar/cable/tv) so you can use the remote for all functions. When turning my tv off at night, it often turns right back on. It turns out that apparently the cable box being on is sending a signal to turn my TV back on (which it shouldn't). Samsung's response is to turn off CEC so then I'd be back to using 3-4 remotes rather than 1 which is designed to do. Doesn't seem like a great workaround. Also I turn my cable input to adaptive sound and xbox input to game mode sound. When I switch to xbox the input switches to game mode sound but when go back to cable the sound stays at game sound. Have to manually switch back to adaptive. Not sure why the sound modes can't stay separate between the inputs. Overall I'd rate this tv 3/5. It looks very nice but has quite a few bugs and Samsung support is not very good. Their fix to every issue is 1) unplug and plug back in or 2) turn off CEC function. Feel like could get a TV with a lot less issues for the same price.

I am very sorry for the issues you are experiencing with the cable box turning your TV back on when you do not want it to, and with sound modes.
If the cable box is sending a CEC command for the TV to turn on, then TV is doing what it’s supposed to do. CEC should be turned off on the cable box, not on the TV.
If the TV is turning on for a different reason other than CEC command, try the following:
- Update software to the latest
- Turn off “Power On with Mobile” [Home > Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile = Off.
Note: Do not do this if you are using the SmartThings app to control the TV, otherwise the SmartThings app won’t be able to turn on the TV
The sound mode does follow the source. Seems that the TV is not detecting that the game console is switched. You can turn Game Mode to Auto [Settings > General > External Device Manager > Game Mode Settings > Game Mode = Auto

The new model has a very thin border and bright crisp colors. Also, the sound is great without an additional soundbar.

Black comes out blackish more than other TV. Can set screen to 120hz when connected to PC. Smooth. First set was crap and couldnt use appleplay, second set can use apple play, but not connect to 5ghz network so its a mixed bag.
