Lines on screen
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had the TV 8 months and lines started to appear on the screen. I called the warranty was on the phone for about 3 hours. They finally agreed to send someone out after me providing photos from every angle and receipts multiple times showing the tv was less than a year old. When the technician got here almost 3 weeks later he came looked at the tv and said it was physical damage and left. NOTHING was done!!! I had Geek Squad Protection but since it doesn't take effect until after year 1 they couldn't help. The only bright side was that the geek squad refunded me my protection plan purchase since it was unable to help me.

Family movie night just got a whole lot better!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially questioned my husband’s request to buy a new TV since our 5-year old one seemed good enough, but I’m so glad we decided to do it! I thought it was just going to be a bigger TV and didn’t realize just how much better the picture would be. We are a family of four and like to have movie nights at the house. The little ones were awestruck the first time we played a movie on the TV after getting it set up, The screen was so much bigger, brighter, and colorful than the old tv, that it felt like we had our own little theater. The movie we watched was The Incredibles, which was appropriate considering how incredible our experience was. It only took my husband and me about 15 minutes to unpack the new TV, connect a couple of cables, and place it on the entertainment center. An unexpected bonus is that the larger size actually fits the space quite a bit better than the old TV. We’ll ultimately hang it on the wall, but it looks great where it is right now. The TV comes with Netflix, Prime Video, and a few other services built-in. This means there’s really no need to have a bunch of extra boxes hooked up to the TV to watch movies and videos. We all know how messy and unsightly those cables can be. That’s another big win for me. If you’re in the market for a premium TV, go see the Q70R in person and compare it to the other brands. You really have to experience it firsthand to appreciate how much better it is than the rest.

A suitable upgrade to a prior great option
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband is primarily the techie of the household and recently replaced our Samsung 55'' 4K television with this model. The differences are quite dramatic in image quality with the QLED TV, with sharp focus, crisp colors and amazing image quality. We have 4K DVD player to accompany this device and watching Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on 4K is an astounding experience. Being focused on the asthetics of the decor, my concerns about my husband's desire for a bigger TV is that it doesn't overpower the room. Despite the larger size, the smaller trim maximizes the display area and fits into the decor well. The ambient mode makes for a great complimentary image source in the room, rather than a plain black screen. An exceptionally helpful feature in this model is that the cord can be fed through the leg to be plugged in without the wires cluttering up the surface beneath. It could use a little more length in the cord, but the concealment was brilliant. Set up and use is consistent with our prior Samsung model, as well as the other in our home, with a few extra features. The TV is hooked up to a surround sound system, which always requires a separate remote for the volume (more clutter), but this system successfully controls the volume with the TV. As well, the Bixby voice option in the remote make tasks like setting a sleep timer a breeze. Though there wasn't a drastic change in TV size or imprint, visiting friends have asked ''did you get a new tv?'' for the improvement in image quality. While I am not the most tech focused individual, the features, performance and function of this upgrade have been well worth it. I wholeheartedly recommend this option.

Screen quality is pure luck of the draw.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My screen came with bright white spots and gray vertical lines on the screen that was deemed defective by Samsung tech. I've tried numerous times to contact Bestbuy to get this TV replaced but no luck. I'm going to think twice about buying anything from BB for poor customer support/service!

Exceeds All Expectations!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Samsung 65- inch QLED Q70R Smart TV. This is my first smart television and I just can’t stop raving about it! When it was delivered, I couldn’t believe how simple the installation instructions were, especially with only 2 cords to plug in. Set up was easy and straightforward- I didn’t even need to open the manual. Adjustments were obvious, and it was fun to play around with it to find the perfect settings. And I love the slim-line design, no more bulky, heavy tv. But what excites me the most is the vibrant picture with absolute brilliant color. The upgrade is so noticeable in comparison to my old set. To get a true sense of this, I turn it to ambient settings while not watching programs- it’s almost like having a piece of art in my living room! I also love the different sound settings- it truly is crystal clear. I was also pleasantly surprised how easy it was to navigate the smart tv features, as I couldn’t wait to start using my Amazon prime tv subscription. Once again, I didn’t even need to refer to the manual, as the button was right on the remote. Steps are straightforward, saving me both time and frustration. I also appreciate the convenience of using my iPhone as a remote. It’s obvious that Samsung did their research, as this product blew away my expectations- from specifications to ease of use. Overall, I’m so thrilled with my tv and can’t wait to discover new features. Hands down, Samsung nailed it and I am one happy customer!

Thrilled at Samsung QLED!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been using Samsung Q70R QLED TV for roughly 2 weeks and the excitement is still surrounding. Samsung absolutely bring the watching experience into a climax. It’s a great journey no matter what we put on this big screen. The delicate pictures and flowery colors entertain the eyes and nerves, it makes watching TV become a most pleasant moment after a busy workday. With the build in AI chip, it makes watching TV more enjoyable. The Intelligent Mode automatic adjust brightness and sound when we are ready to jump in the other movie Friday. And all in one remote, we control all connected device, no more hassle changing remotes. Before having this TV, I thought a 65 inch TV could be kind of cumbersome. But it’s surprisingly thin and exquisite, with a slightly curved edge on the backside, it stays thin from any angle. The ultrathin frame allows maximize the whole flat screen flawlessly, and keeps your focus on the incredible picture! With Bixby voice control, control your tv is easy and fun. We downloaded the Smartthings App to customize the display photo album for the Ambient mode. The alive background lights up , blends into and decorate the wall so well. No more black and boring screen! I have to say this is one of the most successful purchases we made and we are so satisfied about it!

World Class QLED TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup of this TV was so quick and easy. My family was ready to gather round and experience this amazing TV in less than 30 minutes. The Colors, Blacks, and Contrast on this Qled is amazing. I previously had a 4K television and it was dull compared to this TV. We mostly use to stream Netflix and Gaming. This smart TV adjust mode automatically based on what we are watching to either game mode, movie, standard, etc... This is a great feature and offers quick access to whatever entertainment we want without adjusting settings every time. I love the slim look and cord management allowing all cords to tuck into the grooves in the TV and route through the feet, keeping my console clean. Overall I give this TV a 10 of 10 stars as this is the best TV experience I have ever had.

The best TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been Trying the Samsung QLED TV, for the last week, and couldn’t be happier. The design is simple and elegant it fits my living room perfectly , when I use the screen saver it goes totally unnoticed. I watch shows like Riverdale and Grey’s Anatomy and is very important for me the quality of the picture and the colors, especially blacks and greys, with the tv I had before I always had the feeling I was missing little details, and I was right, I went back and watched old episodes and the colors in this TV make it a more enjoyable experience, this QLED deliver what it offers and more. The other detail love is how easy is to move around the different apps, navigate the internet is easier that any other Tv I have tried before. I love being able to connect all my devices to only one remote and the fact that if use Smart Things app I can keep watching tv in my phone, I don’t think you can top that.

Great TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After almost 10 years on our prior Samsung LCD flat panel (42”), decided to finally upgrade the TV to this 65” beast. Did quite a bit of research on the different models, and opted for the Q70 based on a variety of factors. For one, it is fully backlit, which produces spectacular colors and great contrast. Black is really black, which allows other colors to pop. I am truly impressed with the picture quality. Also the smart functions make accessing subscription services a real cinch. Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, cable box, game console, youtube have become essentials, and the set up and navigation around these is really easy. Hoping this TV lasts as long as the last one.

Superior Picture Quality and Gaming TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After being on the fence about OLED vs LCD, I decided to err on the side of caution and stick with LCD for my main set once again. While the OLEDs are superior in their reproduction of color and dark scenes, the panels themselves are not quite as durable as the now 2 decade, tested and improved upon LCD technology. (I suggest reading up on OLED burn-in and lifespan if you have any concerns.) Which is way I purchased the Samsung Q70 series LED full array backlit LCD TV. What Samsung managed to do with LCD tech in 2019 is nothing short of astounding. While this may not be the highest end model, the Q70 is the best bang for your buck price to performance wise, especially if it's on sale. The Q70 has excellent reference accurate colors out of the box on Movie Mode (Warm 1) and the panel is true 120hz which allows for incredibly smooth motion and no smearing or ghosting. Also, the black frame injector is a nice addition to get deeper richer blacks, similar to the OLED TVs. Additionally, the TV supports HDMI only AMD Freensync which, if your computer or console supports it, is a great bonus. However, the TV is already extremely responsive and in game mode has extremely low input lag. I play Melee and Ultimate so I can usually tell this right away. 4K HDR on this TV is also quite good, the color reproduction when watching something in HDR is surreal and really makes this TV shine. SMART TV interface is intuitive and even my 65+ parents can use it. - Outstanding Picture Quality (Best bang for your buck) IMO no need to go with the Q80 or Q90. - HDR is truly a system seller, if you have content that is compatible. (Watch Blade Runner 2049) - Low Input lag for gaming - Black Frame Injector and AMD Free Sync - ARC Reciever Compatible - Reliabile LED full array LCD technology (no burn-in) - Intuitive SMART TV interface. - comes with a screen protector that you can just leave on. Cons - You will need a long TV stand if you're not planning to mount the TV. - TV can be a little top heavy - Viewing off center viewing quality is not as good as the Q80 and above. - SMART TV interface (Tizen) can lag occasionally. Overall, I highly recommend this TV. Especially if it's on sale.

Great TV, but Samsung is own worst enemy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My belief is that when it comes to watching programs/movies, televisions are now ahead of the content they show. The TV is able to convey more detail than is available in the broadcasts/streams. Knowing this, I held off on replacing my 11 year old Sony XBR5. It was big enough (at 52") and good enough that I didn't think a new 4k TV would look better. It's only real limitation was that it wasn't a smart TV. After setting up this Samsung Q70 TV and tweaking it a bit, I can say that I was both right and wrong in my thinking. I was right that there is no meaningful 4k entertainment content available to watch but I was wrong in thinking that the TV could not make sub 4k content look amazing. We have two 4k channels available on DirecTV and they require extra setup from DirecTV and only show occasional good content. However, standard HD content upscaling works great in this television and blows away what was a top of the line (almost $4000 in 2008) Sony that I thought still looked great. Also, Xbox One 4k games...especially those like the Forza series and Red Dead Redemption 2 are just so vivid and look so much better than the 1080p I had enjoyed up till now. You could not have convinced me beforehand that there would be such a difference, but now there is no going back. So, from a picture quality and even sound standpoint, this is clearly a 5 star set and at the sale price at time of purchase is a good value, too. However, I've given this 4 stars because of a couple of operational annoyances. These are really annoying, but since they represent a small portion of the television use, I won't drop more than one star as a result. First is that the TV is very picky about playing video files. It will play AVI files if the sun and moon align and the content is exactly in the narrow band of creation (resolution, compression, etc.) it supports. Of the 200 or so files I have on my network that I could play with my old Firestick, it seems like about 10 will play natively on the TV. So, the solution would seem to be a video app and Samsung does support Plex. The only problem with that, for me at least, is that Plex sucks. If only the Tizen OS could use VLC, all would be well here, but, alas, it can't. In a related vein, my second complaint is that the app offering, while fairly complete, is still missing some needed apps and also the ability to disable apps you don't want/need. This is similar to bloatware on phones. My third complaint, and it's by far the biggest issue I have with the TV, is the remote control and how the television integration works. And to be clear, it's not necessarily with the remote control itself that I have a problem; it's the utter lack of instructions in it's use. The Samsung universal remote that comes with this TV and most of the QLED smart TV's in the 2019 lineup is pretty amazing. With only a dozen buttons, a voice control mic, and a directional pad, it pretty much will do anything that a 50+ button remote can with not only my STB but also Blu-ray player, AV receiver, and connected devices. However, try to find detail about how it works and you will be looking a while...I am still looking. As a result, most people will set the TV up and then use their favorite Harmony or other remote instead of the remote that ships with the TV. And that's a shame. I could give you examples, but I won't as this review is long enough already. Suffice to say that it's like buying a Galaxy smart phone and be told that all you could do is make phone calls with it. This remote can do almost everything, but you only know the very basic from Samsung's info. Wrapping this up, I am very happy with the television performance and very frustrated that Samsung only shows you a portion of what it (and the remote) can do.

Crisp and Vibrant Picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the time the Samsung 65 inch Q70R QLED TV was delivered. I knew that this was the perfect choice for my family! Installation was a breeze, it literally took only minutes to complete the set up. And I just love the fact that only one other cord is needed, besides the power cord. The back isn't a tangle of cords like my previous set. You literally will not even need the manual to select the perfect settings- it is that simple and straightforward! The quality of the Samsung television is apparent. The colors are absolutely brilliant- so crisp and stunning. Greens are my favorite. And the sound is crystal clear. I love that it is modern looking and looks just gorgeous in our family room. This is our first smart tv and we can finally utilize our Amazon Video membership with the click of a button. Once again, the steps are easy to understand. The Samsung Q70 QLED has far exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I will continue to recommend this series to family and friends. It really is the complete package!

Wow! What an Amazing Picture!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Q70R was purchased to replace a much older Samsung LED Television. I had no idea how far the technology had come. The television was quickly setup using the Samsung App, and while the remote is simple, there is a lot of functionality available. Both online and external sources are easily selectable, and switching between them is quick. The picture quality is superb, and any 4K content is truly remarkable. There is also an option to use the display in Ambient Mode, where you can display your own photos or preloaded art and decor. When hung above our fireplace, this allows the display to be a work of art when not used as a television. We are constantly searching for more 4K content, as this is where the television outperforms.. An external speaker system complements this new technology, as the television’s speakers are minimally adequate. I can honestly say that this new television has been a welcomed addition to our household, ad we look forward to our family time around it.

Great Picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needEd a TV to replace my Vizio TV that went out after 3 years but that’s another review. I went to Best Buy for a Samsung - 65" Class - LED but when I saw the picture difference between that and Samsung - 65" Class - LED - Q70 Series, I had to have the Q70. It is much more crisp and dynamic. It is definitely a noticeable difference and worth the price difference for me. I’ve only had it a month but have had no issues. I checked the reviews while in the store before buying and they were very few bad reviews. Has great apps and smart features. I will say the remote is a universal remote. It has taken me some time to get use to it. I still have not figured out the voice interface but I haven’t really tried. If I did it would solve my biggest problem with the remote, which is going directly to a channel without scrolling up and down. I usually just use my U-verse remote to go directly to a channel. That being said, I’m so please with the TV, features and the picture that I’m more than willing to put up with that.

Definitely the 4K Smart leader for quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow...wow...wow! Where to start because this Smart 4K TV offers it all. Set up has been made user friendly so you can enjoy your new device immediately. It's so easy there is no need to look at the user manual, unless you absolutely have to troubleshoot. Between unboxing and digital connection, set up, it will take you less than one hour. This does not include if you are mounting the TV. Our set up was just table top. I must say this is a plus checkmark not many pieces or working parts to figure out in today's busy world. This Smart TV is very sleek and will blend into the wall smoothly if you are opting to hang it. If the TV is standing on a table it is very slim and will not take much space. Now on to some of the many features the Smart 4K TV offers. I love the wireless WiFi connectivity. If you have movies or videos download to your phone or tablet just connect via Bluetooth. This TV offers plenty of ports, back access, for gaming or accessories. Another option I have grown fond of is the Ambient mode. This has so many options if your are entertaining and TV viewing is not an option you can pick the Ambient mode to show it as a work of art/moving art. This will totally be a conversation piece! The Bixby voice interaction with the remote is another top of the line smart feature that just adds to this fantastic viewing experience. If you are comfortable in the dark enjoying a movie or gaming you can easily use this option, after setup. This is a very convenient setting. The option of applications to download to the Smart TV was a delight. The resolution on the Q70R QLED is futuristic! Anyone that wants a new age, cutting edge Smart 4K TV experience needs the Samsung Q70R QLED in their life. Once you view TV on this model you will not want to watch it on any other TV screen.
