So I have really mixed feelings about this laptop. It's sleek, looks awesome, superlight weight and it does not over heat! I can put it on my bed the couch and it keeps cool as a cucumber. Love that. Operating system runs smooth, haven't had any software issues. The price was right too! The only thing is the touchpad. It doesn't work well and I have to re scroll/click all the time! Everyone that uses my laptop complains about it. That's the only gripe I have. I desperately want to give this laptop a 4 star review because other than that it's pretty sweet... but that's such an integral part of the laptop and makes daily use so frustrating. Ultimately, if you're on a budget and in the market for a new laptop like I was, it'll do.

Samsung Galaxy Book is a great laptop can cost less than many people want to spend on a laptop. It even provides a better experience and last longer than other alternatives. it also has the processing power to play high-end games or handle demanding tasks such as professional video editing or 3D modeling. If you need a cheaper laptop or a more powerful one, check out this and thank me later.

For the price, performance is great. Not just ok, but great.
Of course it is not a powerhouse; you can’t compare it with a $1000 notebook.

The Galaxy Book Go is a basic laptop, and gets the job done.
I've used it for writing posts and reviews to websites, working with small Excel spreadsheets, reading PDFs, web browsing, and the like. It's fine for all these things.
The screen is fine. You're not going to be jumping up and down with excitement based on its looks, but it works. The keyboard takes a bit less force than I'm used to for keypresses, and the trackpad works fine. I wish that the keyboard had dedicated page up/down.
So what about Windows on ARM?
All in all, it is pretty good. Using Edge and Office (OneNote, Excel, a bit of Word) has all gone fine. I've used Discord lightly on this machine, and that's worked fine too. I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of applications natively supporting ARM. PuTTY, WinSCP, and others have had ARM versions. The noteworthy program that didn't have an ARM version was GIMP. I did not want to try x86 GIMP on this machine with only 4gb of RAM. :)
I was worried about the RAM size. It's been ok. Windows seems to pretty aggressively manage the memory, and I've never had problems. For example, Edge tabs sleep quite quickly. That said, I'm almost always in the 80-90% range for RAM use. With Discord, Edge (3 sites, 2 pdfs, some sleeping tabs), Your Phone, and Task Manager, I'm using 84% of my RAM.
Battery life is very good. I haven't done any real tracking, but I am never worrying about battery. The silent, fanless, design is nice too. The laptop is at most slightly warm, and it's pretty nice to not have to worry about using on a blanket or pillow.
Overall, I like this laptop for light use. I wouldn't want to use it all day, but for a couple hours of work where I don't want to be using a tablet, this is a great option with the ability to use a wide variety of applications.

Thought this would have the basic things I need. Constantly freezes and battery life is poor! In the pic the screen is frozen and the power button won’t even reset it. I have to wait for the battery to run out.

For its price range, its a really good buy if you’re looking to do some light work. Emphasis on light work, this doohickey cannot handle most games on practically any setting. It would definitely get someone through community college but would probably self destruct by university standards.

Good for basic use. Can't do a whole lot with it like editing videos. But it did really good for school work and basic uses, scrolling through the Internet.
Tried editing some videos but it ended freezing. So didn't attempt to try again. But for school work it did the job.

I honestly considered canceling this order after reading some reviews and watching some youtube videos. I'm so glad I didn't. I've owned top of he line chromebooks, Surface go and pro models and many others. This machine will surprise you. The screen isn't top of pack, but its nowhere near as bad as reviews lead you to believe. The performance beats any Windows laptop or tablet I've tried in this price range. It's so much more than a chromebook. With the update it Windows 11 I haven't had any incompatibility issues at all. Try this for yourself and ignore the bad reviews. I don't think you'll be sorry.

The screen is absolutely abysmal. Can barely open and run chrome. Don't even bother with more than one window. The whole laptop bends when held by the corner, and creaks like cheap plastic. Battery lasts a week at least.
