I'm coming from an HTC One M8, which is still my favorite phone I've ever had. I'm a bit disappointed that this Edge didn't beat it out, but it has some shortcomings that cause it to fall short.
Pros:
Edge screen is pretty cool
Fast phone; performance is great
Wireless charging is great
Fingerprint sensor (and it actually works pretty well!)
Cons:
Battery just so-so
Edge lacks features - more gimmick than helpful
Bloatware still very much present
Very difficult to root
In my mind, the worst thing is the inability to root easily. Why, Samsung? Why do you make it so hard to root your phones? I'll likely switch back to HTC after this, and this will be the #1 reason. I'm still holding out hope that they will release a patch that will add some edge features, but so far, nothing. But not allowing your users to easily root is annoying and short-sighted. It's our phone; let us do what we want with it.
This is a great phone that is diminished by some dumb decisions on Samsung's part. It could be so much more.

The phone is incredibly fast with no lag between actions. It fits well in my hand, especially with a case. I was initially uneasy about spending $100 just for a curved screen but it grew on me and I'm liking it more and more. One thing to take note is because of the curved screen, a case will not protect the curved edges. It'll cover all the corners and be slightly raised over the edges but won't get to them so you make want to be a little more careful with this phone than your last one even though it's all Gorilla Glass. The fingerprint reader is great as long as you make sure you get all parts of your fingerprint calibrated. Otherwise it won't unlock if you're thumb is on it in a weird position. Overall, the downsides to this phone are very minimal compared to the quality and performance you get from it. I'd definitely recommend this phone!

My previous phone was a Galaxy S4, so it wasn't hard to jump to the S6. I choose the Edge because when I picked it up I felt it conformed to my hand much better than the regular S6. I avoided the Edge+ because it was simply too big an uncomfortable to hold or use (and I have decently large hands). The best piece for me so far is the camera, I used it on NYE and got fantastic pictures, much better than my old S4. The only draw back is the battery life; I get maybe 24 hours on normal phone (not lot of screen time) usage. While I think that's acceptable, I was hoping for something better after so many years. But still highly recommend.

Great Battery life, fantastic camera, stupendous screen, love the wireless charging, FAST !!!!!!!!!
Yes no replaceable battery or MicroSD slot but there are just sooooooo many positives, I just don't have a big issue with this. Samsung will replace the battery when its tired for $45 (which is $20 cheaper than Apple charges for the same service)

I have been waiting for the Galaxy S6 now for a while and it really was worth the wait. I wasn't going to get the Edge, but when Mitchell at the Samsung counter put it in my hands, it just felt and looked so cool that I had to have one!
Having it now for a week, there are two main issues I have with it. One is that it's very slippery in my hands with no case yet. The selections were of course limited and I like the Otter box style cases.
The second issue i have with it is regarding the fingerprint access. Sometimes, it won't read my print and asks for the backup password, and no matter how I try, it won't let me access it and I have to type it in.
One feature I do really like and I stumbled upon it, and Samsung should make more of it, is "Safe Zones" You can specify geographic areas where the phone won't lock up, like your home and office, or family's houses. That's REALLY cool. IDK if the S5 had that as my last phone was the S4 and it did not.
I don't like the fact that you cannot open it to replace the battery, or memory card, but oh well.
Overall I love it and would recommend it, especially if you have an older iPhone. Lose the iTunes.....

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge has an amazing sleek design. It's actually super sexy, but... The battery heats up pretty quickly, this not only causes discomfort but it also kills the battery life. It no longer offers an expandable memory, and last but not least the reception in the house is terrible. If you're purchasing this phone for it's design, then BUY THIS PHONE... But, that's not very realistic, considering the price tag

I am a iPhone lover!!! But this Galaxy S6 Edge is the first android to make me have mixed feelings about deciding on what phone to go with. I love the features on the phone, being able to have dual apps up at 1 time. When someone calls it doesn't interrupt what you're doing, just pops up like a notification in the top. Also I love the colors and picture quality with watching movies and videos. The edge of the phone kind of makes me think of watching on a movie screen. You have the real movie experience if you have beats headphones to go with it. (an apple product now huh, lol.) ONLY thing I hate is the apps. I hate that you have to download extra stuff like a computer to protect your phone from viruses unlike apple who has a tighter publishing/agreement requirements to be listed in the apple store. I don't like the fact that apps are already on the phone that you might not even need. Let me download what I want. And then you have 3 different places to buy/download apps (google apps, play store, and Samsung apps) geesh! I also don't like that there aren't many cute cases to choose from to protect your phone. The marketing for android sucks compared to iphone products! But overall, if I switch from Apple I would definitely get this phone. Apple has some true competition with this one! OH! and the camera is GREAT!!!! What girl doesn't love a good selfie???

I purchased this after owning a Samsung tablet for 5 months. The SM-320 Pro 8.4. I liked the Android interface much better than the Google Nexus7. Having an Apple 5S for work I knew I liked my Samsung interface better for its touch-screen keyboard layout. My Palm Pre3 was finally breaking into pieces and I had to give up a physical keyboard. Much easier for me to type with the S6 than an Apple product. I use the SideSync 3.0 app to answer phone calls while on my tablet. Apps are fast to open and run and phone calls are clear.
The 5.1inch 577 dpi screen is incredible and unassailable, as of now, in the phone world. Retina is a good marketing ploy but this is where its at.
Knowing I can start my camera in less than one second (0.7 sec to be exact) is very nice. I always dreaded needing to record something on my old phone and needing to unlock the screen and open the slow camera easily took me 5 sec. That is a thing of the past.
Phone is a very beautiful sapphire black that can be described as black pearlescent in nature making it look bluish from some angles. The leather Samsung case I also purchases is the same color. I find myself flipping open the windowed flip case cover just to look at my S6. Opening the case turns on the screen as it should. I got the windowed flip cover for the S6 NON-Edge phone and it works fine although I cannot see the "Edge" display when its closed. A properly Edge designed flip case would use a shorter cover to make the right-hand "Edge" useable. I really like the view window of the flip case that allows me to see the time and weather without opening the cover. The case is not Ideal as the phone answer and camera icons do not move up into the window as they would with a S6 NON-Edge. Not sure if the window is a non-scratch or scratch resistant material as I have only owned it for 3 days. Maybe thats why the cost is 10 times the cost of EBay flip cases? Also the phone is able to charge with the case on unlike what many are reporting with plastic cases on here.
Service at Best Buy was fast and professional. Transferred 6+gig of data, video, and photos accumulated on my old phone in about 30-45min.
Samsung rep was present and helpful as well. Turned me on to the Samsung Owner's Hub.

I love the look and feel of this phone. I just upgraded form a Samsung S4 after 3 years, although I was still happy with it but the edge captivated me. I did not care for the plus model, i think is too big for my pocket, but I must say it look gorgeous. One downfall is the battery it seems to run out quite quickly, I never make it more than 10-12 hours on a full charge, and i usually turn off apps and wifi or gps in the background. I guess I need a mophie now or something to help improve the battery life on my beautiful new phone!

This phone is flawless! The processor is quick and the pictures are perfect. I haven't had any trouble with phone call quality. The only negative thing I have to say is the sound quality with regards to apps like Pandora, it could be improved. HTC one definitely has Samsung galaxy beat on speaker quality. Otherwise, I totally recommend this phone.

Very sleek phone. Looks great, feels great, and takes amazing photos and videos. There's a little bit of a learning curve with the device, and the quick guide that comes with the phone is useless, but once you learn how to use this, you'll be happy. Just get a cover/protector for this phone. It's made of glass and is slick.

The camera on this phone is stunning. Battery life is also very solid, something that anybody this day in age should consider when getting a new phone. It's also a fast phone, as long as you close programs periodically as to not run down the battery from the background or use up RAM, you'll love the phone.

The phone is amazing other than battery life. It is a little short for my liking but the high speed charging makes up for it.
The camera is AMAZING! I can't say how much of an improvement it is. I took pictures at a school dance of my daughter, no flash and the pictures look great!
