I've had the Samsung Galaxy S7 for a month or so. Still I'm learning new things about it all the time. Battery stays charged a long time and when it does need to be charged it is charges up very fast. Great Photos!

I am a huge fan of the Android OS in general and of Samsung in particular. I couldn't wait to upgrade from the S5 that I had for 4 years to the S7 which had been getting great reviews since its introduction. The OS on the S7 is fabulous and intuitive which makes it easy to use. You don't have to think about "where is that item or app?". Samsung makes great electronics! I have their phone and tablet. Can't wait to get their TV and laptop.

I needed to replace my Samsung S5 and I noticed that there were some great Holiday/black Friday sales with added incentives. I went to the store and sat down right away and a salesperson greeted me. I explained what I wanted, and brought the phone to me. There are some features in the S7 the make using the phone more user-friendly. There are many new things, once you locate them all.

I told myself I would never buy another carrier phone, and yet on launch day I found myself buying a GS7 from Best Buy. It's still a carrier phobe, and especially still a Samsung with tons of bloatware. The deciding factor was the availability of the material design theme, which gets rid of many of the obnoxious TouchWiz design elements, and the SD card slot to make up for the small storage size. For those interested, there's an app which only works on Samsung services called package disabler pro that at least hides the bloat amd keeps it from running, if not giving you the storage space back. It does not require root. Battery life has been great, easily making it through a very busy workday. The fast charging, while not QC3.0, is still remarkably fast. 20 minutes in the car can give you a massive boost. The camera is amazing coming from a Note 4. The fingerprint scanner and Samsung pay have both been flawless so far, and the fingerprint scanner is a huge improvement from the note as well. Took off one star because of the ridiculous AT&T bloatware.

I upgraded from the Galaxy s5 as the battery was always dying and the phone was running dramatically slow. This phone has definitely exeded my expectations thus far. The battery lasts all day and the phone it self is pretty responsive. I've had some encounters with the water and it's come out victorious. The sound quality of the speaker is great and the UI works as expected. The camera takes great vivid pictures and the sleek smooth design fits well in my hand. In general I feel it was a great buy. I greatly recommend it.

Waterproof, awesome camera (captures in a quickness), best battery life I've had with any previous Samsung phone and Apple Phone. I recommend it as great transition for those wanting to try something else besides IPhone. It's features are easy to use. The phone comes with a device that assist in transition from many Galaxy devices pending software and iPhone as well to make sure one keeps as much information. The SD slot allows me to have more memory which I was filling up on my previous device. Overall performance no issues or freezing and managing to apps at same time comes in clutch in multitasking situations.

I upgraded to the Galaxy S7 from the Galaxy S5. I'm quite happy with the increased speed apps open/load/download. Battery life lasts longer, but doesn't last as long as I'd hoped it would. However, charging is very fast! Charged to 60% in 32 minutes from 2%! I love the way the new interface in the settings is set up! Very user friendly! The "Always On" display is awesome, without any noticeable battery usage. Phone feels much nicer in my hand than the S5 did. The rounded corners and beveled edges feel very natural in my hand. The metal case with the goldish-silver color looks rich and very stylish. The camera has many new features: Slo-motion, Time-Lapse, LiveBroadcast (directly from YouTube), Video Collage, to name a few. You can also save pictures in RAW format, which is superb! Overall, you can't go wrong. I also loved that a FREE 32" Samsung Smart TV was included!

Moving from a Sony Z3 Compact this was an upgrade in size and functionality. It's obviously quite quick and fluid with the internal hardware, and the screen is brilliant. With the recent upgrade to Nougat I find the battery life to be notably better than it was. Versus my Z3 the battery life wasn't that great, but the screen resolution is much higher and after a number of setting tweaks I can still get about 2 days of moderate use out of it. The expandable memory is a massive bonus over most competitors; dropped in a 256gb micro-SD card, which I received free from Samsung, and I have my entire music collection, work documents, movies, and room to spare. The camera seems quite capable so far, but my use has been very limited. I prefer the compact model phone for the ease in which you can put them in any pocket and not worry about it, but that's not happening with the S7. It's not so big that it's cumbersome, and you can still fit in in a back pocket, but you always know it's there. Due to the popularity of the phone getting accessories (cases, screen protectors, etc) is great; lots to choose from. And if you have wireless charging capabilities that's another bonus.

Better camera and being waterproof with being able to add more memory makes the S7 a no brainer. Have always had a Galaxy never had an interest in a IPhone(3 family members have an IPhone). It feels like a solid phone in your hand. You have more options with a Galaxy over IPhone.

Where do I start? There are so MANY wonderful things about this phone. I love the feel of the case. I'm very happy to have the microSD card back, I skipped the S6 for lack of one. The battery goes on forever compared to the S5 and it certainly charges faster. I love the way the time, date and % of battery show when the screen is blacked out. This phone is much faster than my previous S5 and I have room for apps with the 32Gb of internal storage. I used to get the no room message even to update an app on the old S5. I love how you can put on your ear buds and run the Adapt Sound program in settings to adjust the eq of the phone for your ears! The finger print lock took some getting used to as it is a bit different from the one on the S5 but it is much faster and more accurate than the S5's. And let me not forget the camera. It is far superior to the S5 which I thought was great compared to the S4. Now for my cons, I have a few. The icons look too much like the iPhone. I liked the icons on the S5 much better. These are all rounded and don't match those of some of the apps you download. The Calendar is more difficult to see appointments on than the old one in the S5. I don't like how the speaker is on the bottom corner of the phone, it gets covered up at times and I can't hear the audio. I did not have the problem with the S5 with the speaker on the back of the case. My largest dislike is having the ear bud plug on the bottom of the phone. It sticks out and doesn't allow the phone to rest flat on some of my wireless chargers. Overall, this is the best phone I've had so far. I'm expecting the ones in the coming years to be even better.

Probably the best made phone samsung has done for the smaller phone series. This phone is so much faster than any before. Fast charge is great and I still get the phone charged fast with the insignia cables. They charge just takes a little longer than the Samsung brand. 4gb of ram for games? Uhhh heck yesss!! Haven't had issues at all with any of the games I play which are heavy dedicated on performance. Love the water resistant design!

    Great Smart Phone

Being retired, I have never needed a smart phone until recently. I am a tech person and never cared for Apple and their limited proprietary approach. I prefer the Android system and with that prefer the Galaxy S series over other brands. However these phones come at a premium price and for my needs I cold not justify that until now. I started looking at the Motorola G4 as all reviews say this phone is the best bang for the buck. When I went to BB to checkout the Moto G4 they had an S7 next to it. After handling both there was no comparison. The S7 felt so much better in hand. Also, the camera of the Moto G4 was good, but did not have any stabilization feature and most of my shots were blurred. The S7's photos were tack sharp, also the S7 seemed more easy to use over the Moto. The more I handled the S7, it made me decide the Moto G4 was not for me and I would wait a while longer to get a smart phone; maybe when the S8's are out. At this time the BB sales person told me that the major carriers have a deal on the S7 where BB will give a $200 gift card and Samsung will give a free 256GB micro SD card worth $250. One month later, I could not be happier with the phone, the 256BG storage, or the deal. I am with my same carrier at not much more than I was paying for just phone service, the phone works perfectly, and I got the Nougat update as soon as it came out, which I like much more than Marshmallow. As with all things tech, there eventually will be a new model out, in this case the S8 will be released later this year. For me, and I'm sure for many others, the S7 is more than enough.

I was torn between LG and Samsung. The Galaxy 7 got the nod as I already had Samsung chargers from previous phone. Excellent camera, easy to use, fast processing, pretty fast charging. I am not a heavy phone user so the battery stays charged for a long time. It is expensive, so best to protect your investment with an Otter case.

I upgraded to this S7 from an S4. The S4 was working great, but I don't use any social media, because I have a life. Instead, I use it as a phone (imagine that), and for texting, and for GPS and some games. After 4-5 years, it was getting a bit slow, so I decided it was time. The S7 is very nice and sleek, just slightly bigger. The screen is sharper, but the new OS automatically reduces screen size to save power (kind-of eliminates the benefit, doesn't it?) It's very fast, and all my apps fly. I chose the S7 over the S8 due to the presence of a Home button, which is important to me. One thing I REALLY HATE on this phone (and many other new phones), is the ridiculously wide-angle lens. It's not necessary, and it makes people in the periphery of the photo into a cone-head (ie. stretches object abnormally due to the extreme wide angle). Yes, I do use shape-correction, and it only just helps a little. Why phone manufacturers do this is beyond me - probably because the masses see it is as a benefit. It's absurd to me. Now my pictures are mostly distorted. The S4 took nice, flat photos, but it was a bit slow. I guess I can try to fix it post-production, but it's annoying. The camera on this S7 is super-fast, though, and you can snap away endlessly with no delay. One more thing - I ordered mine on BestBuy online because of a deal they had with AT&T. When they activated my phone, I saw the deal was not there, and I've spent 4-5 hours on the phone now trying to get it straightened out, with no luck so far. There doesn't seem to be any audit trial to this, and AT&T blames BB, and BB blames AT&T. Don't buy it online.

Upgraded from a Galaxy S4. Excellent screen and so much faster. Holds a charge all day and when it does need charging it is very fast. The camera can't be beat. I had a hard time deciding between this and the S7 Edge. I liked both, this one just felt more comfortable to hold. You can't go wrong with either!
