So you have that new camera, larger files sizes and all....yet when you load the files on your system, it lags like it is moving a pile of bricks. On way to make a major jump back to quick editing is to use a SSD for your work flow. Store your work on the regular drives when you're done

Needed an inexpensive ssd to replace a larger older drive I had. Quick install then copy from the old drive and I was able to be done with the old.

One of the best deals I've gotten from Best Buy in a long time! When I checked the age & warranty status with Samsung, I found this SSD to only be a couple of months old with nearly the entire 5-year warranty remaining. It performs flawlessly, and since I saved so much off the price of a new one, I bought two!

evo is the cheaper one in the Samsung 860 lineup. However, lower price doesn't translate into lower performance. I ran crystsl disk info to check the usage of ssd. I got one that has been up for 2 hours and counted two times. It seems ssd price has come down significantly. Bestbuy messed up my order of 2. Sent me one 2.5" and one m.2. In store return was not possible. But 1800 was great. I was able to drop off the return to UPS for free. Make sure to check packages before opening since both are SATA III.

I bought this SSD to use as a back up and recovery drive, Samsung makes the best SSD's and NVMe drives on the market, in my opinion. What separates Samsung drives from other manufacturers drives is it's accompanying software and it's 5 year warranty. Samsung Magician and its cloning software is second to none. I love this drive and the other Samsung drives I have already.

Quiet, fast, plenty of space - this was a great upgrade move from the 5400 rpm spinny-disk we had.

This drive performed as good as new. I prefer buying certified refurbished products mainly for the cost break and knowing that the product bugs have been worked out. I really like this Samsung drive as I cloned my Win10 operating system to move to a newer computer build. Samsung's cloning software worked flawlessly in conjunction with this new drive. I wish I had bought several of these units.

Rock solid performance and reliability. I've installed 3 of these in various old PCs and have given them new life. The performance boost is a major major improvement. Clunky windows thrashing the hard drive is no longer a bottleneck issue. Used daily for over a year so far. No hiccups. Works like a champ. Will stick with Samsung EVO SSDs from now on.

I read up on how these are "refurbished" and learned that primarily they're being used by Geek Squad briefly as a boot drive or for testing. Afterward they wiped and resold. Got about $30 off the base price at the time, and the base price was already lower than usual because of a sale. Would definitely recommend if you already use and of the EVO SSDs.
