Reliable memory card at a great price

I have had plenty of memory card failures, but never with this particular manufacturer and type. The SanDisc Pixtors just seem to hold up better than any other suppliers that carry similar "rugged duty" service condition and environmental ratings. I've had many "normal duty" cards fail under what I'd consider normal service conditions, so the small price adder to go with these cards is a no-brainer for me. Especially when you can catch them at a fantastic price, like I did. Recently saw the 32Gb units at a great price during a recent Best Buy "Deal of the Day". Pricing for portable memory cards keeps coming dropping rapidly, but I don't ever recall seeing 32GB SDHC cards at that price, anywhere, from anyone, for any type (including any of the low quality stuff, of which there is plenty). Certainly not for Sandisk devices (in my opinion, probably the best in the SDHC MC category in terms of quality), much less for their Pixtor's. Love those Best Buy Deals of the Day!

Got this on a weekly special when it was just as cheap as the Ultra (30MB/s) cards that I had bought on sale. Wasn't expecting to notice a speed difference, but I did. My camera has two settings that I use where I notice a definite speed improvement over 'standard' cards. One is where I set it to take multiple shots in succession to choose the best pic. The other is in video, where I can fire off single frame shots while video is recording. In each case, I notice my camera returns to 'ready' state much faster after the camera saves images in these modes. Used it for concert photos and videos, and was ready to get back to the action very quickly after the camera stored it's buffer. I'll choose the Pixtor version again next time instead of Ultra!

This is a great camera takes awesome pictures easy to use and set up. The best by sales associates were great and answered all of my questions. This package was a little expensive but it comes with a camera bag a battery and a charging station. It also comes with an extra lens for shooting far. You will need to buy a memory card for the camera to take pictures. There cheap I think it was around 20 bucks. The picture quality is great you can pick from numerous settings and even customize your own settings if you want. I would recommend this to anyone from a beginner like me to an advanced user.

In this day and age, I use SD cards in all 8 of my GoPro cameras, all 5 of my pro video cameras, and in my still photography cameras. The fact is, that these cards are rapidly becoming the most used media out there for all disciplines. At first, I used to shop for the least expensive cards I could find, but after so many recording failures and cards breaking apart (literally), I have decided to start spending the extra money and buy quality cards. Since making that decision, I have discovered SanDIsk to be the best cards I have tried. I have yet to have any of the issues that used to get me with the other brands. Additionally, Best Buy has really great sales and I actually ended up getting my most recent cards for less than what I used to pay for the low-quality cards. Keep your eyes open, you won't be disappointed!

When I was younger, like back in the early 90's, I was building computers, putting together sound boards, video cards, mother boards, and hard drives. The biggest hard drive I could get was 3.2GB. 3.2 was HUGE then. Now, not so much. Now they have these tiny little cards that can handle 120 GB and more. I bought a digital Cannon rebel SLR this year for a family vacation. It came with a Sandisk 32 GB pixtor SDHC UHS-I Memory card. Has a really quick transfer rate of 80 Mb/sec, water and shock resistant, even freakin' xrays.....wha???? Never in my life did I ever think we would come so far, so fast. Amazing! Just like this memory card. Get this if you need one for a digital camera, stills or movies, you'll thank me later.

This was my first Pixtor camera card. It was purchased to use with a Canon Rebel T1i. It worked great... until my camera just stopped recognizing it and gave me the "Card cannot be accessed. Reinsert/change the card or format card with camera" error while I was out shooting photos. The card WAS formatted well before I was out that day. Took the card out and reinserted... nothing. Turned my camera off and on again... nothing. I wasn't going to reformat and lose all of the images I'd taken, so I had to go buy a brand new card, when the card that failed was only about a third full. I'm pretty disappointed that it failed me. The card I'd purchased to replace it is the same as this one, so I'll see what happens. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

I bought a couple of these cards for use in a digital player that my wife uses, a unit called the Victor Reader Stream. With it, you can read books, record live events or you can listen to your music collection. We have almost 50 GB of music so I made a collection across 2 of these cards to use in a player that handles only up to 32 GB cards. My primary goal with these cards was that they work fast enough that when a song is finished the next one comes on fairly quickly, and so far I see the cards have a good access time and the music keeps on playing without problems. That's a lot of files to trudge through and yet using the shuffle feature the music keeps coming without long gaps. So far the cards have not failed and we'll keep on buying these as needed. Good card and good construct.

My navigation system is at least 7 years old. The internal memory was maxed out and the card I had in there was either a 2 or 4 GB. Updating the navigation maps had come to an end. After looking at the cost of replacing my navigation I opted to see if I could add a bigger card. I found out my system would support up to 32 GB. Best buy had this one on sale and I rushed out and bought it. My navigation system is updated (with plenty of room for future updates), the card performs flawlessly (maybe even faster) and the price was right. What I liked the most is that the sales guy told me that if the navigation system would not accept the card, bring it back and they would refund me. Who can ask for more. So the bottom line is that I am extremely pleased.

I bought two of these sd cards on sale a few months ago for my nikon dslr and have put several thousands shots on them. They have worked just as you would expect. For the price I was surprised about how fast it could write raw files and preformed just as good as my more expensive sd cards. For the price on sale(they were around $15 to $20 a piece when i bought them), if I was to lose one I would not worry about it unless I had images on them. And I will be buying several more once they are on sale again. And just so anyone reading this knows the san disk pixtor line is a best buy exclusive. you will not be able to find any information on the pixtor line anywhere other than the best buy website not even on the san disk website.

My GPS is an old Nuvi. I had exceeded the limit of the on board storage and the small memory card I had installed when I first purchased the GPS (around 10 years ago). It would not take anymore updates. My choice was to replace the GPS or figure out how to get more memory. I contacted Garmin and they informed me that my Nuvi could handle a card up to 32GB. Problem solved and at a price that did not require the purchase of a new GPS. It is fast . . . maps render quickly and I get to keep a GPS that I like and have configured to meet my needs. I have SanDisk cards in all my cameras (3), my Rokus (2) and keep spares for the cameras just in case.

I bought this memory card for a D-SLR that records 18MB RAW images. Has to be fast to empty the camera buffer in the shortest possible time, yet not break the bank. SanDisk cards are preferred and are recommended by the camera manufacturer and the Best Buy price (on special) is the lowest available. This Pixtor card is faster than standard Ultra cards (40 mb/s VS. 30 MB/s). If you elect standard shipping, be aware that your order may go by UPS to the local post office, and then into your mailbox, so give the appropriate address. Luckily, my postmaster knows to translate my street address to my P.O. box. Best Buy should make the carrier's shipping method clear to avoid delivery problems.

People used to focus on how many GB their memory card had, you would tell a friend "I put in 64GB in my new camera." Now wiser folks know that 32 GB is almost always enough for that extended cruise with many stops. What is more important if you have a camera with large memory requirements is the TRANSFER RATE. How fast the chip can gobble that signal your camera/device is sending its way. This chip's rating is 40. That is plenty fast to load images of a camera shooting (say) JPEG images stored at 6MB/image without creating noticable delay. If you are shooting 20MB images saving as RAW you need to move up the food chain, and 80 is a more reasonable speed to buy.

Purchased this as one of Best Buy's "Deal of the Day". I'm always on the lookout for this size memory card at a good price, and I found it! I love it when Best Buy has a "deal" that I'm looking for. This memory card is just what I needed. It's large capacity lets me save my photo's on it as an affordable way to back them up twice, once on my external hard drive and once on this memory card. I am always afraid my external hard drive may fail, and if it does I always have my cherished photos and videos saved on my SanDisk Pixtor 32GB memory card. A must have for everyone who wants to have that extra security of saving their memories forever!

I went into Best Buy to purchase a memory card and a camera bag for my daughter's trip to Cambodia. I had very little time to shop and had absolutely no idea of the differences in either product. Within only a couple of minutes, I was greeted by an awesome salesperson who streamlined my choices and provided valuable insight to the differences that I never considered. I was out the door a satisfied customer within 20 minutes. The items I purchased were exactly what I needed but, what stood out most in my mind, was the exceptional service I received. Well done, Best Buy, for hiring attentive and knowledgeable salespeople!

I received this memory card as part of a promotion. It is good enough to take pictures with, but if you plan on shooting video you need an SDXC card, 64gb minimum. The a Sony a6000 has a video mode which cannot use anything smaller than that, so i had to buy another one that is compatible with the camera. This is obviously no fault of the card's, but i think it's best buy's poor planning. Why would you include an accessory for free that is not compatible with the camera that it flies with? All in all, it's a memory card. It does it's job, the way it's intended, what more could you want?

Picked this up to go along with my Canon EOS Rebel T5i DSLR digital camera - highly recommend either this 32GB model or larger (64GB, 128GB, 256GB, etc.) if you have a DSLR digital camera that is capable of taking pictures in the RAW format, due to the large file sizes that the format results in (it's essentially a digital version of a film negative - with all of the details that the camera's sensor sees recorded in the image in a completely lossless format, allowing for finer adjustments and editing to create the precise image you may want to acheive).

This is the first memory card I've used that was specifically designed for camera use. Was going on a trip and bought a new small Canon point & shoot pocket camera. Needed a memory card and the sales person recommended this one. I wasn't thinking about one this fast or this large but boy am I glad i took her advice. I was gone for 2 weeks and took almost 3000 pictures and had space for probably another 2500. There didn't seem to be any "lag" while the camera tried to find space on the card to store the images. I've started juggling this card to whatever camera i'm using.

I bought the 32 GB card because I am trying to put the family genealogy together. I'm taking pictures of old photos (some 100 years or more old), and pictures of ancestors' gravestones. Tip: old photos are light sensitive and should NEVER be scanned, otherwise the intense light will make them disintegrate (flake off). I am also photographing marriage, birth and death certificates, plus old letters. In this way, the family history is preserved and can be copied for the next generations. By buying the memory card with a larger capacity I won't have to buy another right away.

i buy these when they are on the deal of the day. use a new one often in my camera so i don't panic if the camera itself is stolen or if i loose the memory card while transferring, printing, reprinting etc. they are inexpensive when you buy them this way so i get the lower memory ones and just keep changing them instead of worrying about capacity. good color, works for my photo RAW files quite well. i always appreciate the sale prices and never buy at full price by making sure that i buy a couple once in awhile on the Deal of the Day

I took my camera to the store where I purchased this and the salesman told me this would be perfect for my camera. It did not work! I had to give it away because I was out of the country and a person who was traveling with me was able to use it in their camera. It was a great disappointment, nonetheless, someone else was able to use it. I would only recommend it if their camera was compatible with it. And I believe the person who used it did not get the full effect or all the pictures they thought they should get with it
