Easy to mount, holds a heavy 27" touchscreen

Just got this for a 27" touchscreen display. The display is used to monitor my security cameras and is slightly heavier than a regular 27" monitor/TV but is still within the specs of this mount. The original mount I used was an arm mount that I clamped on a desk, but I think the mount was a little too much for the desk, plus the weight of the display, it did hold it but didn't really keep it in the position where I wanted it. This new mount keeps it level and stable where it doesn't move around by itself. Found a stud to bolt the screws into, didn't want to use drywall anchors.

The Sanus Elite Advanced Full Motion 4D + Shift TV Wall Mount (Model BSF517) is compact, strong and easy to install, I have a TV at my home office and since it is a smaller TV I wanted it to be higher and the easiest way to do so is by mounting it to the wall, and since it is 42 inches this model was the best choice to own. The installation was easy and fast; it comes with the necessary hardware to install directly to the studs as well as the drywall. Also it comes with different screws so it fits different size TVs. I did not have to get anything else to install. It also comes with instructions as well as a QR Code with more information. I like that it is also easy to adjust, the TV can be adjusted up to 4 inches 2 inches up and 2 inches down. And it does fit TVs from 19" up to 43" The look of the mount is modern and sleek since it has a brushed metal exterior and the edges are covered with hard plastic so it looks well made. And the frame is solid steel, so I am not worried for my TV, it will be there until I bring it down myself. I also like that it is easy to extend, tilt and swivel the TV, it has The Virtual Axis so it is easy to adjust at any time, best of all it is easy to do so. Overall The SANUS Elite BSF517 was the perfect choice due to its flexibility, style, and reliability to mount my TV.

An easy to install TV mount

Sanus has always been the go to mount for TVs and monitors. The 19”- 43” full motion is just but one of the many mounts that they produce. And it just so happens that I have a 43” TV that needs mounting. Using a Sanus mount is a fairly easy thing to do. What you would essentially need is a drill with corresponding drill bits and a stud finder. The Sanus mount uses the Versa mounting template for the back of the TV or monitor. Just screw the back plate to the TV. Now position the mount itself on the wall. Be sure to use a stud finder so that you can screw the mount securely. If there are no studs, make sure you use anchors for the screws. If you are not sure how to do this, it’s best that you get a professional to do it or find a friend who is familiar with mounting TVs. As a matter of precaution, this preferred to be a two man job but in reality an experienced installer can do it by himself. Once you securely attached the mount to the wall, all you have to do next is to attach the TV by ‘hanging” it to the mount. And there you go! Installation should take only around thirty minutes. It’s easy peasy! And once installed, you can pull the TV outwards the wall and not only tilt it up and down but also swivel it left or right. And once you’re done watching, you can easily place back the TV on it’s original position. I would easily recommend Sanus mounts not only for its reputation but also for its ease of installation and use.

Excellent, if not quite perfect, articulating arm

This SANUS Elite 4D + Shift TV mount demonstrates what real engineering and innovation means from an A/V company. It's so easy these days to buy the cheapest possible articulating mount and then just learn to live with the many compromises in those mounts. SANUS is a top tier manufacturer that's been in this space since what feels like the beginning, and it with the Elite series their expertise really shows. This new 4D + Shift series brings quality and thoughtful elements to a product that you'd think would be impossible to innovate these days. Unlike most other mounts that advertise near-infinite adjustability, the SANUS Elite is designed for you to set it up perfectly the first time, and then be able to move the display around on the arm without having to constantly fiddle with the tilt and level. This is the perfect mount if you (or your kids *wink*) need to move your TV or monitor often. #First impressions# First off, the box itself is notable in that it has lots of pictures, basic instructions, and QR codes that direct you to more advanced setup tools on the internet. This isn't a fly-by-night company. Out of the box, the TV arm is clearly well-made down to the finish on the metal being a tasteful matte black/gunmetal. I immediately noted the articulation points for the arm feel very smooth and oiled. #Basic Install# I used this mount to replace an inexpensive arm for my secondary 34" computer monitor which has a standard VESA 100x100mm hole pattern. This monitor is mounted at the top of a knee wall and as a result I could never quite get it to the right height just behind and above my primary 45" display. I was hoping the SHIFT would allow me to fine tune that height and it worked perfectly. I reused one of the holes from my previous mount and used the included template to drill the second hole. Swapping the plate on the display itself was super easy, and the SANUS mount included more than enough different types of screws and spacers to get the job done despite this having a slightly recessed VESA pattern. I'm including a photo of the back of the monitor with the plate attached, showcasing how easy the height adjustment is via SHIFT. Attaching the display to the arm itself was incredibly easy. This was a somewhat painful chore with my previous budget price mount, which required lining up two tiny notches and then screws on both sides to secure the mount. With the SANUS design, I did not have any qualms whatsoever about attaching this to the arm with my 45" installed as it was a simple affair to slide the curved tongue into the groove on the arm itself. #Advanced features# 1) The cable management is nice and well-integrated into the mount itself. However, if you have anything beyond thin cables, it's going to be very difficult to use the cable guides and sliding covers. With my single power cable and DP 1.2 cable I was able to make it work but just barely. I actually had to swap my power cable to a thinner one to make it work. Still, the finished product looks very nice. 2) The up/down SHIFT capability works perfectly. It can shift up or down 2 inches from center. I only needed to move up by about a quarter inch (much higher and the bottom bezel would show behind my primary monitor, any lower and the Windows task bar gets covered). Getting this set does require taking the display off the arm, but it is pretty quick nonetheless given how easily the display mount slides onto the arm. 3) The side to side leveling can be a little difficult to use if you are mounting this where you won't have easy access to the right side of the display/bracket. Fortunately, as I intimated earlier, this is a set-it-and-forget-it kind of mount. To some degree you can extend or move the arm to a point where you can access more easily, get it leveled, then move the display back into place without disturbing the level you've set. I highlighted that screw with an arrow in my pictures. #Conclusion# So who is mount _for_? To me, the SANUS Elite mount is absolutely perfect if you have a display where your kids might move it periodically due to lighting conditions or seating position, and you don't want to constantly have to set the angle of the display. Really, any situation where you might need to move the display constantly is perfect for this mount. Also, a situation like mine where your bonus room wall ends at the roof line and you want to be able to easily "shift" the display up a few fractions of an inch without having to take the whole thing apart. Compared to a gas-assisted spring mount with infinitely adjustable height, this SANUS mount feels like I could move it a hundred times and not have to fiddle with the angle or get the height just right. Yes, it's not as easy to adjust on the fly, but it doesn't seem like it's designed for that. I wouldn't hesitate to use this for another project at my home or recommend to family and friends, regardless of price.

Easy to install TV wall mount!

I consider it more practical to place a TV on a TV wall mount, since it takes up less space than if it were placed on a table. It also keeps the TV safe and out of reach of children or pets, thus avoiding possible accidents. This TV wall mount Sanus Elite is a product that is worth giving a chance, it is easy to install and is made of very good materials. In the box comes the plate that is placed on the back of the TV, the full motion tv wall mount, mounting hardware, a guide to be able to drill the wall with the right measurements and an illustrated instruction manual. Being that the TV is a relatively important device in the home, it is necessary to invest time in the installation of a product like the TV Wall Mount that will complement our TV. I consider it imperative to read the instructions carefully in order to install this TV wall mount correctly and safely. Depending on the type of wall is how the installation will be carried out. The process is simple, you have to screw the plate to the back of the TV, then drill the wall to install the TV wall mount, then you have to place the TV on the TV wall mount and secure it with a screw and it is ready. In the installation process you can adjust the height and level of the TV to your liking, so you don't have to disassemble and assemble the TV several times. Once everything is installed the TV can be adjusted in virtually all directions, up, down, sideways, tilt forward and backward. In the arm of the TV wall mount there is a channel through which cables can be passed to facilitate the movement when adjusting the TV. In summary this TV wall mount Sanus proves like many of their other products to be a good alternative at a reasonable price. If you have a TV between 19" and 43" of no more than 40 lbs this product is a good option, recommended.

I have been using this brand for years. This is the only brand I trust to hold such an expensive piece of electronics. The pros are exactly the same for each time. I choose this brand. It’s tried and true for whatever size TV. I decide to hang. It’s literally three steps to install this mount onto, a wall that is Erdey with a 2 x 4 or 4 x 4 piece of wood behind the drywall for secure connection. Attaching the TV brackets on the back of my TV is usually the part where I get hung up. However, I’m able to attach almost anything with the amount they provided because it has so many whole options for different configurations of TV mounts. There’s also a video for each step to watch and feel confident in your installation. Step two is attached the wall plate to the wall using the provided hardware which is a three rotation arm that is very light so one person can easily do this installation. The metal and plastic work very well together on this mount and arm , very sleek and design. Step three is even more simple and that you hang the TV on the arm and you are done. Being able to rotate your TV in any room left right forward is the best. I can’t think of any cons at this moment.

Works great. I actually bought 2 of these to use with a 42" TV that we move to a spare room at home from our camper during the winter. (Don't want an OLED TV enduring freezing temps during winter) The way the main mount attaches to the back of the TV, makes it very easy to disconnect from the main pivot arm on the unit at home, and then reattach it to the pivot arm on the Sanus unit installed at the campsite. A bit pricey for a smaller TV unit, but a very solid bracket.

Sturdy and full motion TV wall mount

Great wall mount. I will start right away with some PROS and CONS and then I will talk about them some more. +++PROS+++ +Everything you need included in the box (except for your own tools, they tell you what you will need to provide in the manual). +Includes a wall template. +Detailed instructions (there are installation videos in their website too). +Feels very sturdy. +Full range motion (you can extend it, swivel, tilt, you can move your TV up and down also after installation, about 2") +Cable routing channel in the back. +Their website has a TV model finder, where you put your TV model and it will tell you if its compatible with this mount. I would highly recommend you do this before. ---CONS--- -The only con I could find is, I feel their installation manual is incorrect when it comes to the needed drill bit size for wall stud installation. They mention a 7/32 is required. This is too small for the big size of the bolt you are going to be driving through it. I used and I recommend you use at the minimum a 3/16). Refer to my pictures to visualize this. The mount came in a very well packed and compact box. Inside they include all the screws, bolts, washers etc. you will need to wall mount your TV either on a wall stud or a concrete wall. They include a nice booklet manual and also a super handy template so you can mark your wall and level it up before drilling. They mentioned in their manual a 7/32 drill bit was needed for wall stud mounting, however I feel this is too small for the huge bolts you are going to be driving through. I resorted to using a 3/16 and this worked perfectly to make the holes. Once done, it was easier to drive through the 2 huge bolts that will anchor it to the wall. The mount has two cover that flip over these bolts so you don't see them anymore. Then I placed the separated back plate onto the TV. If your TV's back is flat you only need 4 screws and washers. If your TV's back is kind of curved, they also include some spacers to make it work too. Once the back plate was attached, it was easy enough to hang and clip it to the already installed arm on the wall. Then it has a screw in the back to lock it into place. In this very same location, if you undo a little bit that screw you can fine tune the level adjustment if your TV isn't perfectly level. It also has a nice knob in the back to adjust tilt. These two, together with the extension arm you can adjust while your TV is mounted. The last adjustment is the TV high, which is easy to adjust too, however for this you must remove it from the arm but once its out its easy to adjust and fine tune. In all, its a great wall mount and I love the full range of movement it gives my TV, the build quality is superb and feels super sturdy. I have other Sanus mounts and have never had any problems with them over the years. Highly recommend it if you want to save desk space and have full motion of your TV!!!

Easily The Best TV mount Out There

These mounts are basically the gold standard for TV mounts and exactly what you want when you think of mounting a TV. This specific mount I have here is for 19” up to 43” TVs, so it's perfect for bedrooms. I personally used this with a 32” TV that I mounted on a bedroom wall used as a playroom for my toddlers. I have to say that this was the absolutely perfect use for this mount because it gives a full range of motion to allow them to watch shows while standing or sitting in various places around the room. It can still be low-profile enough up against the wall (like I have it) and just tilted down a bit for the perfect viewing angle. The weight rating, as shown in one of my pictures, for this type of setup is 40 lbs, which handles about any TV you’d be looking to mount on this. The whole “4D” motion of this is what sets it apart from other mounts, I'd say, when it comes to them in general. The fact that you can literally just move it all over without 13 knobs or levers to mess with is fantastic. This features their new shift technology where after you install it, if you find yourself in need of even more movement, you can “shift” the height up or down 2” up or 2” down. The mount can extend up to 17” and still has a full range of viewing motion, making it extremely easy to add something like a soundbar later. Or if you have changes in the room and need to adjust, you can. Highly recommend these mounts for any tv mounting needs 5 stars all the way.

Well designed. I've installed a dozen or more VESA monitor Wall mounts in my days as a facilities project manager. SANUS did a good job with the understanding of what you the owner, installer is looking for in a reliable Monitor Mounting System. The kit comes with a large 11" x 9" mounting plate for the TV or monitor. Almost unlimited number of mounting screw holes are available for different size screens. A maximum rating of 40-pounds is printed in the beautifully illustrated installation manual.. A full set of M4, M6, and M8 screws are included so you can't fail. Smaller and lighter TV monitors can safely be affixed to wall studs. But a few times I ran into a wall fabricated with metal studs. This is where I cut and installed a larger 1/2" thick plywood backing. It allows me to get more screws attached to the studs for a guaranteed safe and sound quality install. SANUS has a video worth watching before tackling the project, especially if you have not done this before. Once the arm is mounted to the wall and the plate to the monitor, with the help of an assistant the monitor can be slipped onto the neat hook. Once there, a bolt can be added to keep it safely in place.
