I recommend it to anyone who has a large collection of both music and pictures

Purchased for Kindle Fire extra storage and it works great with the provided Kindle app. Can store additional media files and just about anything and access via wireless. Speed is OK, streams videos great.

I travel every week and I really like this hard drive because I put movies on it, turn it on and connect to my Surface and way h movies on the plane with out any cables, for the price you can't ask for a better Hard Drive

Great external storage device! Easy to set up/sync with all my devices.

This drive serves as a hot spot for long road trips. Download movies and connect via the app for iPad and you have rolling movie theater without using your data plan and the inconvenience of weak or lost connectivity. Can still use Internet, but only when needed.

While I am pleased with my purchase from the dollar perspective, I'm not as happy about the method to transfer information from my laptop to my hard drive. If I have it plugged in directly, there is no concern...but then why have wireless. The wireless technology requires setup of a secondary software program and you can't just click and drag as easily as you would if you were on your wireless network at home. There are additional features that I haven't had the opportunity to explore so I'm still getting used to what the wireless drive can do for me from a remote perspective. All in all, I'm happy with the portable feature; storage; and price.

The drive is great. Plenty of room for all the data you love to have go with you. App is easy to use a few nuisances but overall very easy and functional. Recommended.

Anyone who travels with their Laptop/tablet need this devices.

I have about 40 full length movies stored on this to watch on my iPad or on my Samsung Smart TV and it works flawlessly with both. I can even connect to it with my PS3. Like I said, I have 40 movies and I haven't even put a dent in this thing as far as taking up space on it. You can easily store 150+ movies on this thing, not to mention it's tiny so it fits in a pocket or bag. For on the go use it also will play about 3 movies before the battery dies, otherwise just leave it plugged into the wall. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an iPad. I only wish they offered a 2TB model too.

Convenient unit for travel, no cords or wiring tangles.

This hard drive is anything but that!! It should be called a portiable DVR. The wifi is great to connect to a computer or direct to the tv through usb. great picture. tons of space great for movies, pictures, or even back up to your documents.

We use this to stream movies while traveling. Everyone in the car can watch what they want. The only disappointment, and not a big deal in the scheme of things, is that the battery doesn't seem to last as long as the package explains, but we just end up leaving it plugged in an charging in the car. I recommend this product.

i love the GUI on the device and its functionality of ease i was able to transfer my data to and from the device with out any issue. i was also able to share my images and videos with friends and family. over all a great product

the external hard drive is very helpful using with Surface Pro 3 because my son uses it to take college classes and he can store papers, download textbook chapters for reading later, etc. without running out of storage.

Great way to have backup and additional storage option for the iPhone and iPad without increasing the size of the Cloud storage.

I love the fact you can stream from your phone or computer. Its very simple and easy to use. Seagate customer service is also very helpful even though it took me 2 calls to get the right person to help me.

Seagate Wireless 1 TB device is great for storing your movies and music. Between all the movies and shows my family downloads to Itunes we take up alot of space. I bought the seagate wireless as a good place to store them. It's nice because we can all watch our own shows or movies on our Ipod/Ipad at the same time. Ive also started converting my Dvd collection into MP4 files using Aimersoft DVD Ripper, I think it cost me around $20 for the full version downloadable from the Aimersoft website. On the negative side, It would be nice to be able to connect the device to the computer and also be able to stream the movies at the same time. Also there needs to be an update for sorting your shows and movies in the seagate media app. When moving your tv shows from itunes to the seagate, they show up in alphabetical order by the episode title instead of the show title and episode number. It is possible to get into Itunes and change the title for easier sorting. For example, I will do "Archer S4 04 Title" meaning season 4 episode 4 followed by the title. It is also important to know that you are not able to pull documents from the Seagate, you can only get music, movies, and pictures. Overall this is a great product for streaming your collection of movies without needing a wireless or 4G connection. If you are looking for a storage device for use with your Iphone, there are cheeper alternatives available.

In windows 8 only there is an issue using programs stored on the drive unless it is directly connected to the computer. Even with the handy page that opens when you plug it in you still can't access the files the way you can on other drives. Otherwise I would give this 5 stars.

Its a good concept with speed limitations. Okay battery life as described, connects to multiple devices wirelessly. The biggest drawback is speed of the drive over wifi and when connected via USB. On wifi you see peak speed of 10 to 12 mb/s if you plug in usb 3 on mac peak was close to 80 mb/s. Its worse when you connect mac via wifi and bridge to the internet. Peak was may be 5mb/s Would be better if speeds are improved, otherwise it just does not service my purpose
