This is mainly to be used to store all the media that I own. Has plenty of space and really easy to transfer all my media to it. You are able to connect to hard drive and a wifi at the same time. Able to connect more than one device to it at the same time.

I love this gives me to wireless connect all my devices to and not use all my hard drive space on my computer

Overall I liked it. long car ride with the family and each (3) had their own device and could watch and listen to different media at the same time. No issues with battery or streaming. Only drawback is the seagate app works a bit differently on different iOS and android and different versions of android, on one version, not all functions worked but still could stream videos. Pricey for 1TB but you pay for the wifi ability

The device works as labeled, as promised. Some little 'issues' to learn to configure, but it generally seems like a good device. It's TRUE test has yet to come.

I bought this product specifically for steaming movies from the hard drive to my iPad. the battery life was never an issue as I watched at least 3 movies without plugging it in. You can encrypt the wireless connection just like your home wifi, and I believe you can have up to 5 users connected at one time.

This wireless harddrive is unique since it not only can be used as network storage (over an existing wi-fi network) but it also creates ("emits") its own SSID that your device can connect to. I was backing up 2 iphones while walking around Spain!

This is a great item to use with iPhone or iPad to be able to movies and pictures then have the wireless connection. It makes a long road trip more enjoyable.

Bought this hard drive to gave access to my movies and files without having to plug in. Works good for movie watching and with the USB 3.0 file video transfers work great. I am planning on using it for my iPhoto library so I have access on multiple computers but have to be wired for this to work. Good product over all.

This WIFI storage device was easy to set up, is very fast and works great for videos on the go!

My wife wanted this to store family photos, it works so easy and stores one terabyte. (1000 GB) I have used other top brand names for storage, but nothing compares to the sea gate brand. And it has wireless capabilities which makes it elite and the only brand I will ever buy again!

Great device for the traveler who wants to bring their collection with them. Relatively easy setup for novice to advanced techies. Beginners be patient and you'll be happy you did. Price is a little steep but if the price drops another 50 ill definitely pick up another one. You'll need to purchase software separately to convert your collection of movies to digital versions.

Fantastic accessory for the tablet owner. Both Android and iOS apps are available. Worked the first try on both my iPad and my wife's Nexus 7. Changing the SSID (Broadcast Name) and the password at the same time seemed to confuse it. I simply reset the drive (see manual - which by the way is excellent!) and started over. It works! Don't know about battery life yet but it seems pretty strong. Streams music, videos, etc., flawlessly. I have already loaded several hundred songs, over 4 GB of reference books (yes, I'm a nerd,) as well as newspapers, magazines, etc. Great for travel. Connect your device to its network, move or open the document in the appropriate app - such as iBooks - disconnect the device and you are good to go. I waited to buy this type of device until one of this quality and size became available. I am not disappointed. I have already had several co-workers inquire about it. They were really astonished at its capabilities, size, and price.

This hard drive was easy to install and use. Plenty of space and excellent durability.

Have problems with transferring using IOS. Sea gate is aware of problem but slow to update app

I use this with the iPad to store photos. I take many photos and don't want to load down the iPad on-board memory. The Seagate was easy to set up and sync with the iPad. It will get a workout at Disney World. I will update this review when we return.

Love the 1TB capacity, so far it has worked well on two Android tablets, an iPhone 4S, a 5, and iPad Air without too much difficulty. Seems to stream to multiple devices simultaneously without a problem. I wish the apps behaved more consistently across platforms, but all I all I'm very happy with my purchase, good value for the money.
