[PROS] Sturdy build quality: The case and earbuds themselves are thick, but not overbearing. The case is durable for portability and covered in fabric that is pleasing to the touch. The earbuds themselves are plastic, but still with a premium feel to them. Strong audio fidelity: Out of the box, I was highly impressed with the quality. Before tuning, the default profile seemed to have a higher emphasis on vocals in my opinion. Yet, I was able to adjust them to highlight the nuances of different genres that I would listen to. Excellent Transparency (Ambient/Hear-through) Mode: For me, this an extremely important feature. I want to be able to control the amount of outside noise I let in just as much as I want to filter out the external environment through ANC. Through the Smart Control app, I'm able to use a slider to amplify my environment to my liking instead of the typical three low, medium, and high options. It works so well that the performance has exceeded that of many over-the-ear headphones that I own. Strong Battery Life: I'm able to get hours upon hours of usage out of my earbuds regardless of which mode I have enabled. I'm usually using the Transparency mode at its maximum level so I can be present around others, but listen to other things as needed. What's even greater is that I'm able to cap the charge level at 80% to extended the longevity of my earbud's internal battery. Plenty of Customizations: The Smart Sound app allows for an ample amount of customizations to be used with the Sennheiser Momentum TW4 Earbuds. The included presets do their intended genres justice, but I utilized the sound personalization tool to add more distinction to what and how I listen to music. Decent Microphone: The microphone is satisfactory. The playback of my speech is flat, but very clear. There's no muffling in my voice, and the listener can hear it just fine. - Additional Ear tips: This may not mean much to some, but Sennheiser does include 4 ear tips sizes instead of the standard three. I found myself most comfortable with the largest sets of earbud tips and could wear them comfortably with prolonged use. [CONS] Disappointing Active Noise Cancellation: The active noise cancellation isn't as strong as I would have hoped for it to have been. It does a moderate job of blocking some of my environment, but there are occasional noises that seep in. App Quirks: For the most part, the app is straightforward and easy to understand. However, I did run into multiple issues with attempting to conduct the "Fit Test". The test failed for me 5 out of 6 times. Each failure recommended me to change the ear tips and adjust the earbuds. Despite doing so, it was not advancing me to the next stage. It finally worked the next day, but I didn't do anything different. The Fit Test does come off as gimmicky. [CONCLUSION] In this form factor, the audio quality is top tier. The Momentum TW4 provides a wonderful audio experience. Because of the performance of the ANC and microphone, it's not the end all be all for me, however, it was become my daily driver for multiple situations.

A couple of decades ago, I remember going to a store to pick up my first audiophile headphones. These headphones lasted for several years and they have always set the bar for those who followed. The brand? Sennheiser. It's 2024 and Sennheiser is back in full force with some excellent products. Like the Momentum 4 ear buds I've gotten and let me tell you, the company still knows how to make excellent hardware. The box doesn't look flashy or out of this world, but if you take some time to look at the back of the box, you should get an idea of what these babies can do. They come jam-packed with the latest tech: Bluetooth 5.4, Adaptive ANC, LE Audio and Auracast. The list is much longer, but you get the idea. One thing caught my eye though and it's not necessarily something you'd look at. Sennheiser offers 2 years of warranty on their Momentum ear buds. To me, that's a clear sign that they care about their customers and the continued quality upkeep of their products. In the box are the ear buds in their case, a short USB-C to USB-A charging cable, a set of replacement tips and a separate sleeve with 3 other sizes of tips. There's a quick manual to get you started as well as other pertinent documentation. The case is covered in a textile wrap. I love the idea, but you have to ask yourself how long until it turns into a dust and dirt magnet. The buds look rather big at first glance, but once in your ear, they are very comfortable to wear, which is mostly due to the shape which locks them in place in your ear with a slight twist. Once connected and hooked up to your device (I would recommend to use a smart phone first as that seems to be the default platform for ear buds these days), you will be welcomed by some of the clearest, smoothest sound you can get. The frequency range is amazing with clean highs, wide mids and round and bouncy bass. Some might dislike the chimey highs, but you can change all of this with the dedicated companion app. I spent several hours listening to various genres and I couldn't find a track that would show any deficiencies in that area. On top of having a beautiful sound, the comfort is also there, even after hours, your ears don't feel like someone went to town with a cheese grater on them. Another great aspect is the amount of customization you have to make the sound truly yours. The EQ works very well and you can even tweak the sound rendering to a higher frequency and bit size or activate other helpful options. The active noise canceling tech used by Sennheiser is one of the best on the market and switching it on and off is as easy as tapping your ear bud which doesn't interrupt your listening experience, but allows you to listen to someone talking to you. If you're a casual user, you can also simply apply the presets and not ever have to dive into the belly of the beast, without ever sacrificing quality. The battery charge is close to what it claims, around 30 hours (I clocked in about 26 hours). Charging doesn't take very long either, you can get a good amount of charge in less than an hour. Bottom line: Sennheiser is back, making great sounding and high quality audio available for everyone. The price tag is right where it should be as these ear buds are better than most other brands in the same price segment. If you love music and you want some ear candy, go for it and by the Momentum 4. Excellent product!

The Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 earbuds are a premium set of earbuds. The cloth covered case with the signature Sennheiser logo on top screams premium, and is also capable of wireless charging. Battery life is exceptional. I was able to go six hours straight with ANC on and switching between podcasts, music, videos, and phone calls. After all that, I was still at 20% charge. After about 20 minutes in the case I was back up to 60%. I should also mention that these earbuds are extremely comfortable. Even after all that time in my ears, there was zero fatigue. The touch controls are the best that I have used to date. Extremely easy to use, customizable, and no errors so far using them. The Sennheiser Smart Control app has bunch of features you can turn on or off. It also has an option to manually EQ your earbuds, or personalize the sound to your liking. I highly recommend using this option, because to be honest, out of the box I was not too impressed with the sound quality, but after running the sound personalization feature, these earbuds came to life. I was also very happy to see that I could turn off the transparency option with phone calls. This is huge plus for me because I work in a very noisy environment(auto production plant). You also can set the audio resolution for those audiophiles out there, and there is also a low latency gaming mode. As for the active noise canceling, or ANC. The Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds are the best I have used to date. I own several sets of ANC earbuds, and these have outperformed them all. As I mentioned earlier, I work in a very noisy environment, and after putting these in my ears, it dramatically reduces all the background noise. I'm very impressed with the ANC on them. The only complaint I have with the these earbuds is the microphones. They work fine in normal environments, but where I work, people struggle to hear me during phone calls. They say it sounds muffled and hard to hear. Overall I really enjoy using them everyday. Likes: 1.) Phenomenal sound after running sound personalization 2.) Exceptional ANC 3.) Excellent touch controls Dislikes: 1.) Poor mic quality in noisy environments

Gonna start with my only knock against these, I wish I could increase the transparency mode more for calls. That’s it. The Momentum 3 didn’t offer it at all so the transparency these offer is great, I’m just being greedy. Great fit, sound, controls, battery life, ANC, and their app is the best I’ve used for earbuds. These are my full utility headphones. I use them for the office, for out and about, on the plane, putting on some ambient music while doing things around the house, for some classical while reading, and occasionally for the gym. The ability to use these for the gym, and just for out and about, and not having to worry about these falling out of my head is huge. Sennheiser is one of the few brands that offers a nice set of ear fins, wings, or whatever you want to call them. I just hope they never stop including these on their higher end models because I need them for my ears. In the office these drown out a majority of the background noise and they block out enough on a plane that I can easily enjoy a movie. I generally read on a flight and these block out enough where I can still enjoy the light sound of some classical music. I haven’t had many complaints about people not being able to hear me on a call, overall happy with the call performance. When it comes to sound quality for listening to music or watching a movie are awesome. Across all genres these sound fantastic. Huge bonus is how well their app works, the connection manager is a great feature. Most of the time my headphones are connected to my phone and tablet and the connection manager makes it incredibly easy to switch to the TV if people in the house are going to bed and I’m staying up late. Much better than having to go through the settings and pairing options of other devices. With the app you can also customize the button settings on the headphones and the options let me have access to exactly what I need. If you can’t tell I love these, and these are paired up nicely with my favorite headphones for working out, the Sennheiser Momentum Sport.

I already own a Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless over ear headset so I was excited to try the next iteration of the momentum series with earbuds. I wear glasses for computer work which is where I use headphones most of the time so it can be tough combining an over the ear headset with glasses frames. Usually they put a lot of pressure on my temples which builds up quickly. I love the feel of the case, compared to some of my other earbud products. It has a textured layer over it giving a higher feeling of luxury. The other cases I have just feel like smooth plastic and although they work fine, I liked this new take on a case. They pair automatically out of the case, though you do have to plug the case in for a few seconds the first time to initialize the buds and power them on. After that, they power on every time you take them out of the case. For comfort, they mesh into the outer ear canal and have silicon fittings to create a seal. However, I found that after longer listening sessions this contact as minimal as it is, still creates a pressure point against the ear and can cause discomfort. I haven't experienced this issue with other earbuds that come more directly out of the ear and rely on inner canal pressure to stay seated. I found the noise cancelling and transparency features left a lot to be desired. I can still hear ample background noise (such as someone speaking or my kids playing in the next room) and couldn't honestly tell a real difference between the noise cancelling being on or off. The transparency feature just turns off any audio input to the earbuds so you can hear someone talking to you. Convenient at the single press of the left earbud, but almost unnecessary because the noise canceling is so ineffective. Finally, funnily enough, the sound quality is really good. I'm amazed at how much bass you can get out of an earbud today. For a Sennheiser product, these earbuds meet my expectations. I think you would probably get better sound clarity of the noise canceling was more immersive. I also noticed no input lag from my phone to the earbuds when streaming music.

The easiest way to explain these buds are by saying, they do everything well-exceptional. Sound quality and flexibility, exceptional ANC, very good Transparency, very good Microphone quality, good-very good App, exceptional Controls, excellent Battery life, very good. Quality fell and build, exceptional Workout buds, very good-excellent These are the overall best in ear buds I've ever owned. I have Bose Ultra, these are better. Technics AZ80, these are better. Denon PPro, it's close but these are better. Their size and style make them uncomfortable for my ears after about 30 minutes. If I could rate 4.5 or 4.8 I would rather those numbers, but these are not perfect for me. They are exceptional ear buds and have many amazing qualities. The thing that sold me on these buds, was how often I would see a person from Sennheiser commenting and asking for feedback on YouTube reviews of their buds. That and watching them make improvements to the suggestions, that stuff sold me. Great buds, I will buy more.

Sennheiser beats Sony hands down with their sound quality. For contrast, I have owned Jaybirds Sport, Bowers and Wilkins Pi7 S2, Sony QuietComfort ll, Sony 700 and Sennheiser MOMENTUM 3 headphones, and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. I have very small ear canals and have to have earbuds with just the right balance of fit and weight. Galaxy Buds do fit but tend to slide out after awhile. Their sound also just can't compete with Sennheiser or B&W. Other people can leave detailed reviews about touch controls and other tech stuff. I just know these sound great and fit comfortably for at least a couple hours. Anything I play through the Momentum 4's is crisp and detailed. Clear highs and mids and deep bass that I swear you can feel. ANC works very well for my daily use. It blocks traffic and neighborhood sounds so I can use them even when I do meditation outside. The case has a fabric texture outer layer that doesn't slip out of your hand. They're also a lot easier to get out of the case than the Bowers and Wilkins which have a deeper case and smaller surface to grab. I truly enjoy the MOMENTUM 4's the best of all the earbuds I own! I strongly recommend them if you can afford them!

When I unboxed the Wireless Earbuds, I noticed the premium feel they had. The case was sturdy and the presentation felt amazing. The case felt like you were getting quality. The Case also feels high quality. My headphones can stay in my pocket all day. The case is what makes a good pair of wireless earbuds. These deliver all around. Not too bulky much more firm and solid. The Earbuds by far were the most comfortable earbuds I've ever had. After a while, I'd forget I'd had them in. The Audio quality was crisp and clear. While listening to a podcast, you could hear the clarity and cleanness. While listening to music you could hear and be in the experience. When you have good audio it enhances the experience. It has an Adaptive Noise Cancellation Mode. With the window up and raining outside It blocks out a decent amount. Though, I've never been a fan of any Noise Cancellation this one was decent. You adjust this feature inside the app. The Transparency feature is one that I see as useful. Honestly, the best thing about the earbuds is that you don't need the app. Out of the box, the Earbuds sounded amazing. While listening to podcasts, videos, and audio. The interaction and functionality of the earbuds were flawless. Each press pressed and there were no problems with pause/playback. My only Negative would be the app. It seemed useless with not as much control. Yet, you can "Sign Up" for more control. I'll pass on that part. The Earbuds are a Home Run. Great comfort, Quality, Sound, and a Premium Price Tag.

Legit the best ear buds I've ever had. Battery life improves if you change from lossless but these are amazing. The pass through and anc mode are better than Sony rival buds and over ears. Worth very penny. I've boguht 4 pairs now as back ups

The Case: When I first unboxed these, I was very impressed! Especially the case, it has this kind of class to it that I think other plastic earbuds lack! It feels nice and makes me feel like it’s an expensive piece of tech which I enjoyed! The case was compact, felt nice to hold, and fits in my pocket, and I felt confident that if I threw it in my backpack it wouldn’t break the hinge in there. Don’t ask me how I know about broken hinges from earbud cases in a backpack filled with stuff. But seriously I’m a huge fan of the case. The color, the feel, the weight, the snap when closing it, USB-C, and an easy to understand light! Fast charging, etc. BUT It’s not all sunshine and rainbows! The design of the inside of the case kind of leaves me wishing it was different! Putting the earbuds in and taking them out is hard for me and my big orge fingers! Just the way it’s designed makes it a challenge for me and makes me feel like I’m gonna drop something when I’m walking. I seriously have to STOP and get situated when pulling the earbuds out or back in. The other downer is the case doesn’t open far back enough! It’s like a straight 90* degree angle and now my knuckles knock against the back of the case further causing me to feel unstable when pulling the earbuds out! Not a huge deal, but I don’t like that. I wish the case opened up further and I wish there was a slot where I can put my finger in and lift the earbuds out. The App, Sound and Fit: I was disappointed with the sound at first, not gonna lie! I thought it sounded low quality, but the fit was a bit rough! Ear fatigue happened very quickly because of the design! But it wasn’t until I explored the App when all that changed! I’ll get to that later. When I first put it on, I lifted my ear so it would go in my ear and fit snug with a slight twist. It stays and it WON’T go anywhere for my ears! I can confidently say these are the best fitting earbuds for my ear out of any that I’ve tried and owned! I went on a run, did dishes, watched a show on my tablet while laying in bed, and they won’t come out… in fact they’re stuck in my ear and I’m now a Sennhesier man now! Kidding, but the way it stays put, it’s almost like it’s stuck in my ear! I love that it feels that secure in my ears! But because they’re so snug, I feel like it begins to get uncomfortable relatively quickly. Which is a bummer because it’s so great that they’re so secure! The sound was kind of flat sounding and felt hollow. Almost as if something was blocking the speaker. It’s hard to explain, but I was very surprised how not good it sounded to me. I figured it was an app thing and I needed to do something with the app. The app is awesome! No need to sign up for anything so awesome there! But noticed an Audio Resolution section. I switched it to Lossless which is the second highest setting and it changed everything. I don’t know what standard is, but once I changed it, it made a world of difference for me! Sound is crisp, dynamic and I love it! Easily the best sounding earbuds I’ve ever used! Explored the app some more and it has quite a bit of nice features like a pretty indepth EQ with some presets you can rename which is nice! I almost wish they started with Lossless and made Standard an opt in option for battery life. Maybe changed it to "Endurace" mode or something like that. Overall: I’m happy with these a lot. It has some quirks that aren’t deal breakers, but overall, solid sound, great app, aesthetically pleasing case, and secure fit make this a winner in my book.

I'm no newbie to Sennheiser as I have been using their headset for YEARS for gaming on my PC, but this is my first experience with their earbuds. 1st impressions were excellent but a few minor quirks kinda bugged me when compared to my old daily drivers. In the package comes the earbuds with case, USB C to A cable, extra tips in various sizes, border replacements and the usual paperwork. As soon as I unpacked the buds I left them in their case and was surprised that it is wireless Qi charging compatible. It took less then ~30 minutes to get a full charge to start using them asap. Initial setup is the standard pairing via BT and get to listening. I do highly recommend downloading the Sennheiser app called Smart Control to get the absolute most out of the buds features. After pairing the app walks you through a nice personalization feature to suit the earbuds to your tastes. I do like how it checks for fitment as well to make sure no noise leakage is present so you can change out the tips in case. I didn't do Sound Personalization as I prefer to tweak the 5 band EQ myself to my own preference. Under the settings tab, there is an Audio Resolution option for those audiophiles who want a tad more control of their music. I changed from Standard to High resolution and have been more than satisfied since then. Audio quality is what you expect from a premium brand earbuds. Highs and lows were excellent during movie steaming with no lag at all. If you game on your phone, there is a low latency option if you want lag free experience. I switched from low latency and high resolution and to be quite honest, I didn't feel or notice a difference so I kept it at High Resolution. Your mileage may vary obviously. ANC was hit or miss. I cannot tell you what I am doing wrong if I am doing anything at all. There are 3 options, Off, Anti Wind and On. I turned my on as I don't want to be bothered at work and 2 of the 5 days in office, the ANC would just turn off basically between music tracks. The other days I never heard background noise at all and it was bliss. I have not touched any settings or anything so I can't tell what is causing that behavior. Comfort was a 7/10 for me. I am thinking I need to "break in" the tips a little longer but it feels like they don't create a perfect seal sometimes and you have to constantly adjust them by twisting and jamming them into your ear more and more. It's a minor inconvenience but an inconvenience non the less. Also I have noticed my ears get warmer and hotter quicker than my other buds and when I compared them all, it looks like the tips are the culprit. They seem thicker and less rubbery(?) if that makes sense so heat seems to build up from that. Now I want it known the previous point was not a complaint but more an observation. Another thing is that when I have to adjust the buds, getting my fingers near the edges to move them into a better position causes them to go all staticky for a second before returning to normal. This is highly annoying and caused the star loss. Although there is some faults with the buds, the Pros heavily outweigh the Cons and they have become my new daily driver. I know there were issues at release, but when I got mine, I had an auto update to the firmware and didn't experience any issues other than what I observed above. Sennheiser made an excellent pair of buds and I hope they continue to keep supporting and updating them via firmware updates.

This purchase replaced my previous Momentum ear buds. Overall a solid upgrade. Sound is similar to previous but app is more robust and fit is much better. A worthwhile purchase.

These sound great, have a great battery life, and are comfortable to wear on a long flight. They can be charged multiple times by the case before the case needs recharged. The app works good and shows the important info needed on one screen. I definitely recommend them.

Very clear sound, ANC works great, transparency mode is good if wind filtering is on

Ear buds sound good, the app is cool and has lots of things to help with fit and adjusting sounds. The fit is something you have to adjust and learn where your sweet spot is. Connectivity is ok. Every once in a while i will hear a click like it dropped and reconnected connection. Battery life seems good. I wear them mostly at gym. I have not issues with them staying in. The ANC works ok. Ive had better. The ambient sound is very loud. Even when adjusted high and music on low. The worst part is talking on my phone with them. Nobody can hear me. I have to disconnect from the buds take one out to use my phone. Thinking about taking them back.

I sincerely enjoyed the sound profile of these! Plus, the fabric case felt great and had a large battery, and the app was fast and functional. But, I returned them because the noise cancellation performance was disappointing. If that feature doesn't matter to you, these are an excellent product that punches above their weight at the price I paid, but for me, they weren't a good fit

They fit even better than the Momentum 3s and sound better too. Super comfortable with amazing sound quality. I did have to use the App EQ setting to boost the bass a bit. Firmware updates went much smoother too. Overall highly recommended.

I wanted to say that I love these. I have a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 3 over-the-ear headphones that I've had for years and am very partial to. I wanted something a little less bulky for work, and I went with these. The sound quality is lovely. The noise cancelling is marvelous. They're fairly comfortable, but there is a little bit of a learning curve to get them to sit just right in the ears. Also, if you plan on using these to work out and get sweaty, these are not the earbuds for you. Now the bad. I purchased these in November of 2024 and used them faithfully until about April 5th, 2025. They are now being sent to Sennheiser for a warranty repair. While I don't know what's wrong with them yet, it sounds like there's a loose connection somewhere in the left monitor. I've been nothing but nice to these things, though I did put a lot of mileage on them in a short span of time. I haven't dropped them or anything like that, so I'm disappointed. Hopefully this is a one off issue. Thankfully, Sennheiser makes warranty claims fairly easy.

The noise cancelling could be better but after switching to foam earbuda tips the noise canceling excelled. You do have to find size for the wings that hold it in place. I feel the larger size was better for noise isolation but would become uncomfortable after a while. The smaller size keeps them in place securely.
