Top notch - This thing is Awesome!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark - IONFlex DuoClean IF251 Bagless Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum - Blue stream is the best-in-class of the cordless stick vacuums! It offers many features that the other brands forgot or overlooked, but Shark got it right! It was always my personal opinion that Shark was just a cheap brand for the high volume, low-value box stores. This product proved me wrong in every possible way! The power of this stick vac is amazing and the features are numerous. We also have the V7 vac from the other top brand, and thought the Shark would struggle to compete; we were wrong! PROS - Raw power nearly equivalent to that of a corded vac - Multiple adjustments to meet any need you have - Two rechargeable and removable batteries powerful enough to complete all your vacuuming, with power left to spare for the nooks and crannies - Light-weigh and easy to use - Setup was a breeze - Unique designed wheels allow cornering similar to the "ball" vac but without the height restrictions! - Vacuum under beds or furniture without bending down or moving the furniture with the unique bending tube feature - Unlike our other stick vacuum, this one is a complete corded vacuum replacement!! CONS - Pricey but we felt it is worth the cost for what you get! Definitely, a must-have item for any size house! Strongly Recommended!

Great but could be better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great vacuum with amazing power and works great to clean all the area’s a regular vacuum would not fit. The dual batteries are nice so you will always have a fresh charge but I wish they gave a bag for the accessories and it held more before emptying.

Cordless Wonder
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark IonFlex Duoclean is everything you need in a vacuum cleaner--without the cord. It is modular, which makes it easy to use as a standard floor vacuum or a nifty hand vac. Just release the vacuum from the long shaft, and add one of the attachments. The lithium ion battery charges quickly, and provides enough time to vacuum a fairly large house. When the battery gets weak, the vacuum stops. Just pop in the spare, charged battery. I tried the Shark Ion in its upright vacuum mode on hardwood floors, tile floors and rugs, and it was up to the task. I tried it in the car as a hand vac, and it also performed well. Pros: Intuitive controls Cordless Lightweight Quiet Powerful Easy to empty dust bin Cons: High pitch operating noise Hand gets tired, even with ergonomic grip

Fantastic Cleaning System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Handheld...Upright...Auto Vac...Pet Hair...this does it all! As an upright you can even get into those waaaay underneath places under your furniture...it can help you clean the car and get rid of all of those pet hairs on the furniture before company comes over. With two long lasting batteries you have lots of time to clean with battery to spare. When attached to the upright hose you can stand it up and store as one unit. You do have to find a place to keep the attachments as there is no on board storage for those. The cleaning power is fantastic and when using as an upright the unit pulls you forward making cleaning that much easier. The battery charger is convenient and has suction cups to make sure it doesn’t move. Cordless cleaning freedom at its best.

Love this vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this up and running within about 90 seconds. It feels great in my hand and has powerful suction. The cleaning on bare floors is outstanding. the front roller helps to agitate dirt that is adhered to the surface much better than suction alone. Also on hard floor setting the beater bars rotate more slowly much reducing the "splatter" effect when you use a regular vacuum on a bare surface. The dirt cup is on the small side so if your floors get really dirty like mine there will be frequent trips to the waste basket to empty. It is really easy to reach under furniture and I love the stable stand up storage position with the power unit articulated over the base. It would be nice if it had storage for the accessories. Well engineered and feels like it will last.

Great Cordless and Passable Full Size Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is everything I always wanted in a cordless vacuum. We all know Shark products are very innovative and I am so glad this product finally came to market. It addresses many of the issues/inconveniences you find with competitors out there. Below is a quick breakdown on my experience with the DuoClean IF251. Overview This vacuum is solid, but like all handhelds must be lightweight so it is mostly plastic construction. The batteries are build solid too, also encased in plastic. The vacuum will last of you don't abuse it like everything in life. This is a versatile vac with features you won't find anywhere else on the market. Currently at the time of writing this review (9/20/2017), no other cordless vacuum in this tier offers swappable batteries that I know of. No other company offers a wand that flexes for under couches and other hard to reach areas. The "DuoClean" vacuum floor attachment works wonders. It has two vacuum heads for different surfaces offering "multifloor" versatility. Pros +Multiple/Swappable Batteries - This is easily my favorite feature and make it worth buying this vacuum vs others on the market. The batteries charge in close to 3.5 hours maybe 4 hours. There is always another one fully charged to keep you going. The batteries also have lights that tell you how much charge is in the pack. Pretty cool. +Multi-Flex - This is great and a back saver. This feature allows you to "bend" the long wand in half to get under couches and tables without having to bend over. It also makes storing the vacuum easier in the upright position. +Accessories - Accessories, accessories, and more accessories. This package comes with all the attachments you will ever need. There is something for everyone. There is a dusting attachment, power upholstery head, crevice tool, and brush tool to name a few. +Charging Options - This vacuum has two ways to charge. You can charge the battery pack in a "dock" fashion or you can plug directly into the handle. + Duo Clean - Two brush heads with different purposes work together to clean. There is a soft bristle brush more for hardwood and flat floors and the standard carpet brush for shag and other styles of carpet. Awesome cleaning action. + LED "Headlights" - This is another feature I don't see other companies incorporating in their vacuums. It is like having headlights on your vacuum to see if you got up all the dirt in low light situations. +LED indicator lights - There are indicator lights on the battery packs so you never have to wonder how much battery is left. This is not found on any other vacuum that I know of. There are also +Quick Setup - Literally you are ready to go in three clicks including loading in the battery. Best experience in setting up. +Lightweight - It is a little heavier than the other competitors, but to put it plainly, my 3yr old is vacuuming the floors in the house. +Power - This vacuum holds its own in the cordless suction domain. No complaints at all, it packs as much power if not more than what is on the market right now. +Low Maintenance - You really only need to charge batteries, empty the canister, and occasionally clear the brush heads to keep this running. The main thing to do is to keep the filters clean if you want to maintain powerful suction. +Smart Response Technology - You can vary brush speed and suction with carpet mode and hard floor mode. +Versatility - This thing could replace an upright, duster, and any other cordless vac you currently own. It works on floors and carpets easily adapting for either. -Cons- -Lack of Accessory Pouch/Bag - No where to put all the accessories provided. -Weight - A little heavier than other competitors, but that is probably because of the battery. -Duo Clean Floor nozzle - The width is is a little smaller than a standard upright, but you can get used to it. Not a deal breaker, bout a nice to have. Coverage size requires you to clean more which results in battery usage. -Standard battery life - These usage times are pretty much standard right now in the industry. Having another battery makes this an instant workhorse. You can purchase more batteries if you find yourself running out after two charges. Estimated Times: Hand vacuum only in "Max Power" mode: approximately 11 minutes Hand vacuum only in "Extend Runtime" mode: approx. 23 minutes Floor mode in "Max Power": approx. 12 minutes Floor mode in "Extend Runtime": approx. 20 minutes Carpet mode in "Max Power": approx. 11 minutes Carpet mode in "Extend Runtime": approx. 14 minutes -Charge time - It takes almost 4 hours to charge a battery that only lasts 15mins-30mins. It would be nice to get "fast charging" technology from cell phones since they are both Li batteries. -Feels "Self-Propelled" at times - On carpet this things pulls you around. I like it, but some may get tired of fighting this monster vac. -=Verdict=- BUY! If you are looking for a cordless vacuum with power and function, this is for you. It is in the same price range as the competition, but the thing is you get LEDs, swappable batteries, multiple batteries, and ergonomics unique to the industry. Get this rather than other vacuums of the top brand we all know. You will not be sorry.

Just What I Was Looking For
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started off with the latest and greatest Dyson V8. Brought it home, only to return it several days later. It suffered from a short battery life and didn't fit my hand very well. I exchanged it for the Shark Duo with 2 batteries, and couldn't be happier. The Shark, while a bit heavier, fit's my hand beautifully. It is a wonder on both hardwood and efficient on carpet, although it is not a replacement for a full power vacuum on carpet. It maneuvers with ease, has a low profile to get under our beds, sofa's, and even some chairs. Best of all, you are not tethered to a cord, which makes using the Shark Duo a breeze. I prefer the Shark battery to the Dyson. The Dyson got about 12 minutes in mixed use, while I get close to 20 with the Shark. Best of all, if you run out of juice, you can simply swap the battery. One downside is that this model comes with two batteries, but only one can be charged at a time, while Shark does offer a dual charger. The Shark also allows you to select low or high power, and hardwood or carpet. This level of customization helps meet your cleaning needs while extending the run time on the battery. Emptying the dust bin is simple, and I love how the Duo can easily bend at it's waist for easy storage. While pricey, it is a great machine, and a great addition to our cleaning kit.

A Great Vaccuum, with Pros and Cons
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, like many other owners have said, this vacuum is up there in the tier of the "other" competitors vacuum. It may not look as sleek, but it gets the job done and with a little bit better way, albeit with some caveats. First, the good: two batteries, powerful brushhead, easy to use, max mode, button on and off (although this is probably a preference), and cleans better than my other vacuum (competition one, same style). Cons: the unloading of the waste basket sucks, as you have to put your hand into the container, you can't open the brushhead up to clean it like the competitors, and it doesn't look as nice. However, with two cats and a wife with long hair, we have plenty to clean up and on the basis of being a vacuum to clean up the whole house, all on one charge (since there's two batteries), without your finger getting tired (no trigger), this vacuum wins out for me. Could pd easily replace an upright vacuum for some families, while others will use it in conjunction. Great product Shark.

Another Homerun!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark has proven itself to be a great producer of quality vacuums and this is another one. Great suction and versatility makes this a great choice for anywhere in your home...and your car. It’s a little heavier than I expected but it’s not something that affects your ability to use it with ease. Definitely worth considering if you need a great vacuum in your life.

Great light vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really a great vacuum. Light (9 lbs.), very easy to use, and almost pulls itself along. All you need is to guide it and sometimes hold it back. The rotation of the two brushes moves it along on my wall-to-wall carpet. DOCUMENTATION: Very good. Printed 4 page Quick Start Guide and a 22 page Instructions. I get 15 minutes of operation with the brush roll operating and on carpet setting and Extended Runtime. You will get less time on MAX POWER and more time on FLOOR setting and without the Brush Roll. WARRANTY: The limited Warranty is 5 years on the Vacuum and 2 years on the Battery. OPERATION: Very easy to use and change the configuration from Carpet cleaner to hard floor cleaner and to stair cleaner and portable cleaner. The multiflex extension is great for getting under furniture and to store the vacuum. BATTERY: This vacuum includes two batteries and a Charger. The battery takes up to 3 and a half hours to fully charge. Overall, all you really need to do a very good job in cleaning almost any surface. The dust cup is easy to empty but very small so you need to do it often.

Love it!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first cordless vacuum and I LOVE IT!! Super easy to use and put together. Charged battery overnight before I used it and it's AWESOME. My super shedding medium hair cat has met his match. I would prefer a wider vacuum path but still an amazing vacuum. I would also prefer not having to stick my hand in the dirt cup to empty it. Make sure you're over a trash can when you empty it as it cannot be removed from vacuum. Other then those 2 things, I love this vacuum!!

Pretty Cool design but no very rugged
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impression was like wow but it kinda fell short on performance. ONFlex DuoClean looks great but it seems very flimsy for everyday use. I was scared I was gonna break it. I love the placement of the controls. And it seems to have adequate suction to tackle the job but the dirt chamber is small and a task to empty without a disassemble. I saw other models from shark might have to reconsider and look at those. This one not for me,

Anything less then 4 is wrong
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know how I survived using a vacuum with a cord. This vacuum is amazing. It has great suction it’s easy to use the batteries last a good amount of time there’s nothing bad I can say about it except I wish it would stand up straight by itself when you need a minute to put it down. But who cares. It works amazingly I’d recommend it to anybody.

Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply the best vacuum I have ever used! It was so cool using it for the first time with all my cleaning. Vacuuming without a cord made all the cleaning alot easier and I loved using the vacuum head and the handheld tool with vacuuming the carpet stairs. Definitely worth the price as it did a fantastic job cleaning both my hardwood floor and carpet.

Disappointing performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the vacuum in 2018. It worked pretty good for almost 2 years. It never really did well on rugs/ carpet but that is mainly what I needed it for as I have a dog that sheds. I use dust mop on the hardwoods. After about two years it started to die out after vacuuming one 9' x 7' rug. I would have to let it rest a few hours then continue with the remaining rugs in the house. I called customer service a few times over the past few years but they always walked through cleaning the roller, and the inside of the container where it collects the dirt and hair. This would turn the machine back on for a few seconds but then it would die out again. Letting it rest for a few hours is the only thing that would get it running for any amount of time. I am now at the 5 year mark of owning. I have made it work but I would not purchase another Shark product nor would I recommend to anyone.

Nice cleaner with a big caveat
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great cleaner, lightweight but powerful and no cord! Nice! I would have rated it 5 stars except for this: The box says that this cleaner runs longer than Dyson V8, if you use two batteries in sequence. The box also says you should put one battery in the included charger and then fold the cleaner in half for storage/charging of the second battery. There are two batteries in the box, so that's good. However, there is only ONE AC adapter. You can plug it into the charger (which holds one battery) or into the battery itself. But you can charge only one battery at a time. So if, like me, you figured you could put it in the closet and leave both batteries to charge, you won't be doing that unless you buy a second charger from Shark's web site. Yes, you read that right. You will pay 450 dollars for a vacuum cleaner and only be able to charge it halfway because Shark could not be bothered to throw a second AC adapter into the box. I called them to complain and was told, basically, 'That is how this is packaged, you can buy a second charger if you want it'. For this lousy labeling and packaging and lousy customer service, I am saying this is NOT RECOMMENDED.
