The Arlo cameras lack holding battery life. They discharge in a very short time and you always need to make sure you have them charged. This is not a good choice for a portable camera. Also I purchase the solar panel to keep it charged while the camera is mounted outside and it failed to function after 4 months. the Arlo support wants me to pay for shipping to replace the product. Not good for customer service. Again think twice befor buying Arlo.

I bought two solar panels on this order and one more on a second order. Bought January 2019. One panel quit working two months ago. The second one quit working 3 weeks ago. I still have one that is working. I bought there brand because I thought they would last a few years. Wrong!! One of them has water that leaked inside. Not sure what to do now. I guess I try aftermarket ones.

I bought this new and connected it on my ARLO GO. It charged the camera fine for 4 months and then I got an error message on the app saying that it was not attached to the camera anymore and that I would have to remove and re-attach. I checked the connection and it looked fine. However, I did as the app said. It still didn't charge and showed the status of the battery as not charging. I contacted Arlo and they replaced it (I still don't know why I accepted to pay for shipping). 5 months later the same things happens again. It is as if I am watching a replay. Arlo asked me again to pay for shipping, but I refused and they are shipping it for free. However, because I don't want to waste my time and money anymore, I requested a refund, and I am currently waiting for them to approve. Also keep in mind that the Solar panel will continuously charge your battery reducing it's life significantly. When my Arlo Go was new the battery lasted for about a month. 4 months later, after having the solar panel attached to it, the battery now lasts only for one week. So not only my $79.99 went to waste, but I also have to replace the battery on my Arlo Go.

The solar panel eliminates the need to charge the camera.

I was quite happy with this product, up until it quit. It lasted 1 year and 10 months. The warranty is one year, so I can't say its terrible but not an outstanding life span.

Having a few problems....does not charge my camera.
