Customer Ratings & Reviews

I’ve owned quite a few soundbars over the years, but the Sonos Ultra is on an entirely different level. From the moment I set it up—which took less than 10 minutes thanks to the simple HDMI eARC connection and the Sonos app’s guided steps—I could tell this was something special. The 9.1.4 spatial audio with Dolby Atmos is incredible. Sound doesn’t just come from the front—it surrounds you from every direction. Movies feel fully immersive, with action filling the entire room, and the Sound Motion technology places effects with impressive precision, making you feel like you’re right in the middle of the scene. Dialogue is crystal clear thanks to the AI-powered speech enhancement—no more rewinding to catch missed lines. Music performance is just as impressive, with rich detail, deep bass, and a wide soundstage that feels almost like a live performance. The design is sleek and modern, blending seamlessly into my living room without drawing attention away from the TV. Control is effortless as well—I can use my TV remote, the Sonos app, or voice commands with Alexa. Trueplay tuning made a noticeable difference by automatically optimizing the sound for my room. Streaming is flawless across WiFi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect—I’ve used multiple sources without any issues. I eventually added a Sonos Sub and Era 300 rear speakers, and the surround experience is honestly better than some theaters. I also love the flexibility of expanding to other rooms with Sonos for a full home audio setup. If you’re serious about home entertainment, this soundbar is hard to beat. The Sonos Ultra delivers a truly next-level audio experience.

Sonos Arc Ultra is a remarkable soundbar that delivers powerful, cinematic audio with exceptional clarity, detail, and immersive surround effects. Dialogue is crisp, bass is rich, and the overall soundstage feels incredibly spacious, making movies, music, and gaming more engaging than ever. Combined with its sleek design, easy setup, and seamless integration within the Sonos ecosystem, it is one of the finest premium soundbars available today.

I had the first SONOS Arc for years and it was great soundbar. Before getting the ARC Ultra I didn't think I would notice much of a difference between the two. The more research I looked into this product the more I realized how different it is. With 9.1.4 sound channels doubling the count from the first generation I notice the most difference in sound quality with the height channels and the overall bass response is impressive without an external Sub 4. Overall, I didn't think it was possible to get this kind of performance out of a soundbar. I believe that the ease of use and software more then makes up for the pain of seeing up a component system and speaker wire.

I’m honestly really impressed with the Sonos Arc. The sound quality is on another level — super clear dialogue, deep bass, and it fills the whole room without having to blast the volume. Watching movies feels way more immersive now, especially with action scenes and surround effects. Setup was surprisingly easy and it connected to my TV with no issues. I also like how clean and sleek it looks — it doesn’t take up much space but still makes a big impact. Streaming music on it sounds amazing too. It definitely feels like a premium upgrade and worth the investment.

I bought the Arc Ultra as part of a bundle with the Sub 4 and a pair of Era 300 rear speakers. Setup was very easy and the sound quality is great, especially for music, Dolby 5.1, and Dolby Atmos TV/movie content. The only cords needed for the setup were power for each speaker and an HDMI cable between the Arc Ultra and my TV (included in the box). I already had the Sonos app on my Android phone from the other Sonos speakers I owned previously, and adding the new surround system was a breeze (fully guided in the app). The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because even though the surround effects work well with the system, I don't feel like I get the level of height channel effects I was expecting from the Atmos content. That could be just my room/setup or the content, but I've tried various adjustments and following guidelines for speaker placement and such and just don't notice much difference in that area. Additionally, I'm a bit disappointed there are no HDMI passthrough inputs on the Arc Ultra like there are on some other soundbars, and to a lesser degree, I'm disappointed there is no DTS:X support. All that aside, I'm very happy with the system, and it works well with my Samsung TV, Roku Ultra, and Xbox.

This soundbar sound amazing with enough you bass you can barely notice a sub mini when they combined, on it's own this thing is crazy powerful almost enough to be good without adjusting any settings not that there are many which brings me to the app, it's okay just plain and the layout for the different services suck and barely work like shuffling music and getting music suggestions and the EQ is two little sliders for the treble and bass but it still sounds great and even better when you mess with the sliders and voice enhancement. Now when you add to this with the sub and rears it sounds complete and amazing for movies with the atmos and even standard 5.1 formats. -1 star for the crappy app and their refusal to renovate it.

Excellent sound quality, very easy to set up-make sure you set up the app first, then follow the instructions step by step on your phone app. So easy. Has good deep rich bass, atmos, and very clear voice dialogue. Works with voice commands as well as touch buttons on sound bar as well.

I buy the sonos i don't have any idea how is great dolby atmos i feel all sound in every direction in my room i feel the soundbar have unless up 500 watts and the sonos era 300 have more than the 200 watts and the sonos sub gen 4 have unless up of the 400 watts i go outside of my room go to the hallway for check out if i bother my neighbors and yes att the volume 60 and the wall is grumble i think about for moving to many super space home with out neighbors to close to me but in volume 28 due amazing awesome sound thanks to God and my dear girlfriend and the associates David one teen tech help me like 5 start and one moon the store i go is 60 ave rio hondo bayamon Puerto rico 00961

The Sonos Arc Ultra is a total game-changer for anyone who loves movies but hates the clutter of a massive speaker setup. What really sets it apart is the new Sound Motion technology; it manages to pack punchy, deep bass into a slim frame, so you get that cinematic rumble even if you don't have a separate subwoofer. The spatial audio is incredibly wide, making it feel like sound is coming from every corner of the room, and the AI-driven speech enhancement is a lifesaver—you finally won't have to keep riding the volume button just to hear what the actors are whispering. It’s definitely an investment, but between the effortless setup and the fact that it works perfectly with both Android and iPhone now, it’s easily one of the most polished and powerful soundbars you can get your hands on.

Our son talked us into getting this upgrade. While my older SONOS SUB (assume Gen 1) works with this, the older satellite speakers do not, so will have to see if I need back speakers in the future. Replaced the old Optical input to Playbar with the HDMI with this new ARC ULTRA. Now the TV Remote works with the ARC, the old Playbar did not. Admittedly, I only have one good ear, but wife says she thinks sound is great. It sits under my LG CX77" TV. Kids, be smart, don't damage your ears so when you are older you can enjoy sound and new technological advances in audio!

Well I finally made the move to a sound bar. I boxed up my old Denon receiver and Bose speakers and purchased a sound bar from another company. Was not impressed at all with the sound bar and thought about going back to my receiver, however I decided to try the Sonos soundbar as it had great reviews. Got it home was very impressed with the packaging usually that's something I don't care about but it was packaged very well. Pull the sound bar out hooked it up to my TV, took maybe 20 minutes tops to get all of the update firmware, app for my phone and wiring to my TV done... very easy install and setup. I highly recommend using the ARC HDMI outlet. Set up the sound bar use the app to apply the sound optimization and was very impressed at the quality of this sound bar versus the previous sound bar that I had purchased ... really sounded great. I went to the sound bar to see if I could up the volume manually and move it to a better location when I realized that I had the sound bar pointing straight up instead of out. I was going off the label and I could read Sonos backwards. Once I put the sound bar facing forward and ran the optimization app again was very very very impressed with the sound that was coming out of my speaker. Hope to add a subwoofer later and will update my review.

I really love this soundbar. The sound quality is amazing, with clear dialogue and great bass. It makes movies and music feel immersive. Super easy to set up and looks great too. Highly recommend!

First time buying an upscale soundbar or Sonos device and I was pretty blown away. Crystal clear dialogue, outstanding bass and great design it’s and all in one package that just feels and sounds premium. Live that you can play music on it directly from the app or even talk to it and request to play music or a specific song. It can even play music while you have the tv playing something else definitely cool for a little party. Paired up with my mantle mount tv mount awesome combo. Definitely a great addition to my home.

For me my Sonos Arc Ultra is the most versatile and amazing external Sound Bar ever created. Its sleek cylindrical design looks fabulous and not obtrusive in my Studio/Office. With the internal redesign that IV love for a more immersive watching and hearing nub movie’s and NFL GAMES makes me smile, really. I did hours of research on line and at Best Buy where in listened to the Sonos Arc and others. For me and my ear I can honestly say the Arc Ultra won by a mile…. I watch sports and movies via streaming for hours a day and I wanted and got the full Atmos Experience. I know I sound like a commercial, even to me, but though I didn’t want to spend the cost nothing else would satisfy me. IF you watch and listen to Top Gun, Raider’s of the Lost Arc or an NFL Game you’ll swear your in a surround sound Theatre or Stadium….. Paul in Los Angeles

It can connect to your TV without any wires connected to your TV that is what I was looking for true wireless connection amazing sound and amazing product

This thing is beautiful and sounds amazing. Setup couldn’t be any simpler.

Love our new Arc Ultra sound bar. The sound is immersive and unbelievably clear and complete. I had difficulty hearing dialogue and was always asking “what did he say”. We paired the Arc Ultra to new Sub4 subwoofer and it has now entered a whole new sound dimension with the perfect mixture of highs and lows missed with just the right amount of midrange. We’re excited about this system because it adds a new level of excitement to movie night and casual music listening. Hearing all the dialogue is now realized. Thanks Sonos.

Upgrade from the Sonos Arc and it definitely surprisingly it sounds better! This sound bar alone actually has base compared to the previous one and the voice enhancer is amazing. Glad I upgraded.

We upgraded from a Sonos arc to the new ultra, and it is definitely worth the investment. Bigger sound, easy to use.

You can already tell the difference between the original arc to the ultra. I still hear volume level control needs to get updated but Sonos is usually on top of it I’m sure they will fix it eventually. No other complaints than that. It is a bit smaller than the original.
