good, not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item is good for the price. I have had a great deal of difficulty getting 4kHDR60HZ to behave properly when routed thru the system though. Even after turning on enhanced HDMi it still has some drop outs. Being that there isnt much in the way of content for this I only knocked off a star

Great Receiver... Great Price $$
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My recent purchase Sony - 1015W 7.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD Home Theater Receiver brought the entire package together. I liked how easy it was to connect all of the speakers/Sub-woofer to this clearly labeled receiver. There are also plenty of HDMI ports to connect my TV, Blue Ray Player, SPS, ect,

Good receiver, great features.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the way the receiver can automatically set each speaker volume based on the placement of the automatic microphone location. The remote control syncs well with my Samsung television.

Sony - 1015W 7.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Thro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a great deal on this and for the most part it works great. The only drawback is that it is sometimes glitchy and does not work and play well with the TV/ receiver. Have to turn it off and on sometimes several times. For the money and performance though it's worked well.

Quality sound to top off Sony 4k75850HDR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This black Beauty sounds as good as it looks. It's pushing 5 Bose and my surround sound never sounded better. Thanks goes out to my nephew. He not only hooked up my new reciever, he told me if I purchased this receiver today, he would pick up the 1st $50. A steal at $250! Thanks JROCK

Quality item, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony offers a quality product but we have had some issues with our new Sony receiver communicating well with our cable provider, Comcast. We have been told it is probably a firmware/handshake issue, but for those with Comcast service a different receiver may be the safest route.

Great sounding reciever at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this reciever after my old blu ray home theater in a box died. I did some research on these and this seemed to fit my needs the best. It is a great reciever and it sounds awesome. Very easy to set up also. You need a powered subwoofer for this reciever to get the best sound quality.

Good unit but pass through is spotty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Audio quality is everything you would expect from Sony. Great sound. I had some issues with the video pass through so I don’t use it for that using the digital audio in instead while leaving them hdmi video directly to my tv.

I really like this Sony receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't owned a receiver for awhile. I picked this one when buying Sony TV and Blu Ray player at the same time. after hooking this up to my surround speakers, I really like the performance. the Bluetooth feature is great. I'm really enjoying this product and the price is great under 300.

Think again...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a somewhat cheaper alternative to a $550 Onkyo that I should have gotten. Unfortunately, I chose... poorly. The configuration options are severely limited. There are no EQ settings for any of the variois inputs. If there are, they may be locked behind the "automatic" settings which cant seem to be reset. I chose the roon mic to establish the room ambiance and correct audio settings. Unfortunately, it did a horrible job. And I cant seem to change them or override them. To top it all off, you can't even name each input's display. And I cant seem to find any way to adjust the standbye mode that seems to kick off regularly, shutting the system down. The remote is incredibly flimsy to round it all off . I'm not sure why I bought Sony audio. They haven't had quality audio products for decades. It may have been the relatively low price for 7.2 surround, bluetooth and 3D. But avoid at all costs. Don't even entertain the thought.

Stereo for tv situation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this would be a great stereo for your TV set-up. As a sound machine not so great. I come from the era of hard rocking music with high wattage receivers with big beautiful speakers that you could here magnifisense from. This is not that. Plays TV and movies terrific.

Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After investigating several brands, we opted for this one, partly because of the price. Our son installed it for us as we are fairly electronic-illiterate. I sounds good but we had to learn a whole new way of working our electronics. Very different from our old receiver.
