My 10 year old Panasonic was wondering fine with the 42 imches, but got this new 55 in for the bedroom. The very tech savvy "tech" rep recommened this one for one of the 2 TVS we were shopping for. It is truly amaxing is color, and the sound is so much better. I didn't know they made the screens for at least one other major TV maker. So glad we got it. As a very techie person, I am very pleased with this 4k tv. Top quality TV for sure. Get it while you can. I'm not kidding! I'm a true consumer who watches a lot if TV!

I needed a TV that had a "pedestal" stand which limited my choices greatly for this size. I wasn't sure about Sony, but thought I would give a try, since Sony is the only brand with that kind of stand. So far, no complaints.

Great picture while watching animation or playing games. When you watch a regular bluray, the pic is OK. My family immediately noticed the pic wasn't as good as our Samsung we had prior to this. Best Buy recommended this specifically for watching movies; however, I think for picture quality I'd rather have had the Samsung. I haven't tried a 4K player and movie on this 4K TV yet (Samsung was not 4K and smaller screen - 40" next to this 55").. this may make a major difference. If I am able to update my review afterwards, I will. Lastly, the price was phenomenal and we love playing our PS4 on it :-)

If you’re looking to upgrade your tv but can’t afford the higher end models then this is your foot in the door. The features alone is well worth it. If you like the soap opera effect look then this is the way to go. I’m a gamer and once I seen how much better all my games look on this in 4K with HDR it’s alot better than what I had before I tell you. Like all smart TVs when you look up the reviews they are based on out the box no update. Well update the firmware and watch how things get better.

Easy, semi-automatic setup.Only has three HDMI inputs, and we had four devices w/HDMI output. Problem solved by getting a new A-V receiver. Sound from the built-in speakers is marginal; but was much improved with surround sound and Dolby 5.1 from the receiver, when the program source is available (broadcast TV / cable in our area is only stereo, not 5.1). But blue-ray discs and Netflix or Apple TV streaming sources are frequently in 5.1, and the sound is superb. Have not tried the "Smart TV" components, since they basically duplicate the streaming I get from Apple TV and the BlueRay player.

This is an awesome product. The picture and sound quality makes one wash to watch tv all day. The s dream size is perfect for watching from any distance in the house depending on its positioning. Whether you decide to wall mount or use its accessories you have made a good choice.

After my husband died, my son and I removed all televisions from the house. I have relied on my smart phone for the news but have missed watching movies. While visiting my brother over Christmas he told me that this Sony 55 inch TV was a very good buy and I should invest in it and I am so happy that I did. The installation required two people, but I was able to do everything myself. My son and I now enjoy movies and watching the news and watching music videos with great delight.

This 4k TV was a steal for me. Color is superior, operating and programming was easy. Excellent but for the price.

Wasn't sure if 4K was really going to make a difference but it sure did. Awesome picture even with my cable.

This television has an amazing picture. I enjoy watching and it was nice and easy to set up. Great features.

Within the price range this TV has best picture quality. However, the platform is not smart enough compared to other models from LG, Samsung.

I've always been a fan of Sony TVs. I like how rich the blacks are. I went from a 39" 1080p to this and so far I am pleased. Linked up the ultra blu-ray player and a hi-res audio Sony soundbar. Everything works great together. Obviously, if I had the money, I would have gone to OLED, but this works fine for me until they come out with the next generation

ok did a lot on study of this tv and the 50 people said stand not sturdy and hard to program guess what they were right instructions for set up on stand was right very flimsy give not the right instructions second they don't tell you instructions for set up with regular antenna took about one hour and a half to figure up stand set up which is flimsy then to get channels on regular tv can take hour or more. took 2 days to channels set in for the price it was good picture was excellent and sound but it was a challenge finally got all to work but

The picture is so sharp and clear we can see the leaves on the trees. I really like being able to move around the room and see the tv from different angles...while sitting straight in front of it, or moving to the kitchen to grab a drink from the fridge. The picture is always clear and in focus.

Sony TV are great in the fact that they can loop videos from a flash drive. This is one of many reasons I use Sony TV's for the business I am in.
