It's a great glimpse into the future of gaming, but this initial version of the hardware/software isn't all the way developed. There are software incompatibilities, hardware calibration difficulties, and a dearth of games available to employ the VR platform. Will your kids love it? Yes. Will the next version of this platform be better? I hope so.
