Not Used With PS4 Yet, But!!!

Was able to connect to several HDMI devices. By tinkering I was able to connect HDMI to PS3, Nexus Player, along with other HDMI devices. I was able to produce HDMI audio from headphones but, had to power off and on the headset. I think the HDMI sync had something to do with it but, it wasn't consistent. Head tracking works and you are able to see a very large (IMAX 3rd row) experience. Screen only, everything else is blackness. It feels similar to wearing a baseball cap but, just a little tighter. It's actually thick black rubber bands that are on each side for tension. Hope they don't dry rot or are easy replaceable. It feels a little tight at times but, suspect it may relax over time. The visor slides up to your face. If you press up against your face too tightly you'll feel it eventually start to affect your sinuses though you do seem to have a better field of view when you do that. Eyelashes brushing up along with taping your skin will smudge so, you find yourself cleaning the lenses often. Things look a bit pixelated but, this is something I can live with. Imagine if you could focus your eyes close enough to your HD 1080p tv close enough to encompass your entire field of view. See the dots that make up the screen, they are there but, a bit fuzzy and you don't see the black lines separating them so much. Compare to other HTC Vive where you'll see little circles instead that look like a black metal mesh in front of the image. I'm not knocking the Vive but, it simply detracts too much from the experience for me. The game demo at BestBuy seemed more clear, watching a movie at home on it appeared a tad more blurry but, unsure if it's just how well my vision was that day or that the screen is so massive you have to move your head to see the corners. Head tracking on a PS4 in store demo was good enough but, did detect a few slight jerks. I look forward to being in a more controlled environment, it could have been someone shaking the camera or, uncontrolled light sources around me but, not sure. Overall VR experience. I tried the Vive and the head tracking and controllers were absolute. The PS4 lacks slightly but, good enough to get you where you exactly where you need to be. The images was great but, ALL VR does lack resolution... Slightly. Truth be told it's absolutely amazing in comparison at least to me. You feel claustrophobia, Vertigo, and yes, slight motion sickness. Yes these are real things that happen in real life and (personal note) feel that VR and force feedback should have the capability to emulate well but, I would like to personalize VR depth and strength as much as possible tailored to me. To me, sickness, along with those other feelings means it's doing it's job. For me it's good and good enough. For the PC it's going to be wild west which is a good thing. You'll be able to play ANY game in VR because someone even an unpaid dev will come out with something but, I'm sure the experience will come with consequences. Sony however thinks inside the box too much and will rely on original devs to individually patch with 0 option to patch yourself. Ordinarily I would not point this out but, this thing was expensive along with everything needed to run it, I happened to buy a PS4 just for this. Hope some development package for PC environments are released from Sony if this thing just goes the way of the Move controllers which always looked quite silly to me, I can think of other adjectives for that. It was hard choosing this over what is currently supported on PC but, for me the focus problems I had and screen door I experienced with the HTC Vive was distracting and clearly something that could have been addressed.

The sony ps vr allows high end vr play without having to spend an additional amout to purchase a high power pc. The quality is good and most games on the vr wont cause nausea. The VR does allow you to play non vr games however it kinda does a bad job upscaling and if you are running a non vr game you will notice alot more lag. I found that when i played non vr games the lag and poor upscale causes me to get nausea alot more easily. VR only games run smooth and look very good. The main downfall is the lack of games available at this time. The VR really shines in FP shooter games. I can see this being the new way of gaming.

If you want to see the world through different eyes and experience being Batman, a criminal in London, stuck in a shark cage, becoming an alien, a race car driver, and much more, you'll love PS VR. If you want to only play 100 hour AAA games you'll be disappointed because that's not really what PS VR is about. Its a compliment to your PS4, not something you'll be playing every second of every day. Resident Evil 7 is a full game in VR, but those are few and far between. Things like Job Simulator are the perfect VR experience for me. Overall, I love my PS VR and I'd recommend everyone try it out.

I love this thing and so do my kids the deals that have been on ps recently have been great on my wallet for vr gaming goodness I would recommend this to anyone with kids. The only drawback is it is a single player type experience for most games we have played.

I am truly impressed with the quality of this headset. Be aware that the resolution is inferior to what we are used to. However it is so immersive that you really feel like you are inside a different world. Some games are better than others with better graphics and resolution. If you are really anxious about experience VR I recommend you to buy this headset. I did not have any nausea issues with any of the games. Not even drive club VR which is supposed to make you feel really sick.

This is a great add on to video games we have all been waiting for. Problem is that there's wires everywhere and the VR box is clumsily attached to the ps4. I'm hoping for a more integrated and streamlined version to come down soon

This is an excellent choice for gaming aficionados, if you get motion sickness beware racing games will trip you out other than that it's a pretty cool experience.

I'm not sure about the demos that come with it, but I got the Farpoint game with it and it is awesome! Make sure to read the instructions for use...don't be like me and think "I'll figure it out, how hard can it be?" Lol. It's not hard, just read them!

It's a very cool toy, but it's not for everyday or long term use. The setup looks overwhelming, but the instruction is clear. The video from ps4 is routed out to a small box before being fed to the headset and tv. The cables are really thick and heavy. I wish it came with a clip to attach to my belt so it wouldn't put as much pressure on my headset. The headset is light and comfortable. There's no safe way to store it without buying a stand for it or putting it back in the box. The little headphones that came with it is decent. It came with a demo disk. The games takes a looooong time to load. I'm hoping downloaded games won't take as long. As for the games themselves, I can't play for more than 5 min at a time since I get motion sickness. I'm hoping to get used to it.

You may think you know what the VR experience is like, as did I, but until you put on the headset and try it out, you cannot fathom how amazing it is. And while I can't compare the PSVR to other ones (since I have not tried them), this one does not have anything to complain about. Light weight and comfortable, I can play for a while without being bothered. Provides the virtual reality experience one may be looking for, at a more affordable cost than other on the market (plus playstation is providing games with VR modes, so you have a good selection to start off on)

This is really amazing to use! Hookup was easy (follow the directions!) and a blast to use! Skyrim is especially fun with it being such a large world. The only advice I have is I wouldn’t use it more than one hour at a time!

This is one of the coolest things I've purchased, and the experience is pretty wild, but there are only a few truly VR capable games, and a few have VR "experiences." Once the catalog increases, it will be better. Also, having to use the camera to determine reference points can be a bit odd at times.

I finally decided to splurge on the VR and all I could say is WOW. Emersing yourself in different realities and different worlds is such an experience unlike any other, right in your living room. From solving crimes as Batman in Gotham, to exploring a weird alien planet in Farpoint, to taking virtual tours around the world on Hulu and Youtube VR. The possibilities with this device are endless, and this is only the beginning. I can't wait to see what VR will bring us in the near future. Highly recommended. Five Stars!
