I bought this as a gift for my parents, and it has a great mix of features. They have been slow to upgrade to new technology, but this device will not only play Blu-Ray discs, it will also allow them to access streaming services. As a bonus, my dad will be able to share photos and videos on the tv screen with his android device.

My purchase was unique in that I needed a way to watch Netflix & Amazon shows via stereo. My home entertainment system needs WiFi because the components are downstairs and my TV is upstairs. Sony blue ray DVR was needed because it has built-in access to the aforementioned services. So far, everything works like a charm.

so far so good, got this to replace the Samsung that took a dump only after 11/2 year. like all the extra apps, easier use of buttons on remote rather the ones on top like Samsung. so far liking this better than samsung

This player has expanded my viewing horizons with Blu-ray. It was easy to set up and use. A great player at a very reasonable price. In addition, it is very compact.

This unit was purchased to replace a unit that had a non-operational Wi-Fi. It hooked up quickly. It turned on and went through set-up rapidly. It was an easy set-up. My system required an adapter. This unit works very well with the adapter. I power the adapter via the USB port. It is doing the job now and we like it.

Bought this for my dad who was never keen on learning new devices, but he picked it up fast and loved that it was so easy to use. This player is slim and can connect to the internet for all your streaming needs.

Was looking for a streaming media player and instead of a Roku or other, I ended up getting this Blu-Ray player. The ability to play DVD, Blu-Ray and most any other disk was just a bonus. Works great!

Reasonably inexpensive. Very easy set up; maybe took 5 minutes. Straight forward remote and quite easy to use. The unit is small and doesn't take up much room around the TV.

Love this Blu-ray player! So many great features including a ton of apps and free movies, was super easy to set up, and a good price at Best Buy.

This blu-ray plays very well and picks up our home wifi very nicely. I am just not a huge fan of the remote, now this is not a make or break for the unit but Sony could have put a little more thought into its design.

I bought this to replace my mom's old DVD player and it's been working great for her. Setting it up was very simple, and the device itself is compact and light. No complaints here, it just works.

Easy to set up and connect to home network. Picture quality on playback is excellent; fully functional remote allows one click access to Netflix. The only downside is the remote does not control volume on TV.

The DVD player is light weight, compact and easy to set up for both playing DVDs and apps. The button on the remote are pretty small for those with vision issues. Overall a great buy.

Exactly what I wanted. Good picture, easy setup, and decent size. I was worried my dad wouldn’t be able to figure it out but he did with no problem.

I already have this same player (2 years ago) and use it almost daily. No problems and I use it for Wi Fi applications as much if not more then regular and Blu-Ray DVD's. So... this one was on sale - Black Friday which is why I bought it. I will use it when the first one breaks... or a gift in a pinch.

Small, great price, it’s a Sony great brand. Had it for a while so far so good. I use it almost every day, and go through 5/6 movies a day or a whole tv season. Still works great.
