Much better picture quality, loads faster, and runs quieter than the Samsung I bought from best buy last year. Got the Sony on sale for half of what the Samsung cost. Only Sony from here on out.

This player is easy to set up out of the box. Make your settings and see if the compact remote can control your TV too (programming codes are limited.) Wi-Fi or wired internet is great for streaming. Netflix is a preset on the remote and you can add a second option. Coaxial audio output is the only digital audio output but HDMI pass thru is a simple work around as well.

Yes, I’m partial to SONY products, and this disc player has not disappointed. Setup was super-easy connecting to WIFI, and streaming has no hesitation for products such as Netflix and HULU.

This is an excellent mid-range BlueRay player that handles 2D Blu-Ray disks, DVDs & CDs. When connected to your home network it also serves streaming content from Netflix, YouTube, and from connected smartphones, tablets and PCs. User interface is very easy to navigate

We just needed something to play the occasional rental movie and this one is perfect. It's small and even comes with a Netflix button right on the remote to make movie watching even easier.

It has a great picture and is easy to use. I have had no issues using the device connected to the network wirelessly; however, I mostly use this with a wired connection, which works flawlessly. The responsiveness is very good for a device of its class and the downloadable apps work very well. The only drawback is that some popular apps are not available (as of writing), such as HBO Go, Sling, FXNow, etc. It does support (as of writing) Amazon, Netflix, Pandora, and many others.

I just use it for DVDS. I have lg already at home. Best Buy said the was good one. It is slower than my Lg but i am not patient. and use it late at night normally so it is most likely just fine and just my issue lol. It plays well and does the job. I do not get to use other features because i do not have internet . Walmart has cheaper prices just got my client one for 20 dollars less.

This unit is small and easy to set up. The only issue I have is: It does not seem to decode the various audio codecs - DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, etc. I have many Sony bluray players and they have the same problem. I have set the audio to "bitstream" or "PCM" and I have it connected to an Onkyo 11.2 channel receiver that has the different settings when I play back a disc encoded, but it still only plays back in Dolby Surround. Anyone have any ideas?

Bought this as open box, came with nothing, no plug, no remote. I have many Sony products took forever to find a cord that worked. Was scratched, no packaging, nothing. It was half price,does work, I needed it for Wi-Fi. Sometimes it doesn’t come on or shuts off. Probably would be great if purchased new
