Simple controler. Remote works with sony tv. It doesn't play pirated DVDs. Easy to set up. Not too many factory installed apps. Small and lightweight but that can lead to vibration noise if not just right on flat surface.Super, works fine. Could have more storage for the price. I was a bit disappointed after reading how good the reviews were. I have the same model in other rion I bought a couple years ago and I swear it was way cheaper I am sure it was $40 now its $60. They all are way too noisy in my opinion. Transformer and wire are fine. Overall it doesn't take up much room and works great. Would like more storage. It has brought some trust back into the sony brand that i haven't had in some time. I was very reluctant to purchase a Sony because of the bitterness the horrible quality of their products I have owned over the years. Only thing worse than cheap junk electronics is expensive junk electronics.

My last player died during the stay at home, and I ordered this online for fast replacement. This is the first WIFI capable player I've owned, and I'm delighted that it connects to a host of online services, from Youtube to Netflix. The device has worked fine so far, no issues. It has a decent picture and works well.

Works really well for the price. Start up is a little slow, and takes a little extra time to initialize. But great for the price point!! Would recommend.

I have had this player for a few months now and I must say.. I do not regret the purchase! I attached this blue ray to my Projector and the quality is amazing! Plays flawlessly and has a very easy interface to interact with. Highly recommended. Plays your blue rays and DVDs! And there's apps such as Netflix Hulu and Amazon prime for streaming included!

I have been using a bluray player that I got when they first hit market and am glad I upgraded to a newer, faster loading and smaller bluray player.

The setup instructions for this player are very easy to follow. The steps to get it connected to wifi were easy to complete. We don't use it much for the apps since our tv has essentially the same set, but the collection does seem good if you don't already have a device with Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. set up.

Great little blu Ray machine. Easy to use, has the main apps needed preloaded, like Netflix, Hulu, etc. Not a bad price for a piece of hardware needed to play old Blu Ray and DVDs that I haven’t got converted to digital yet. But if you don’t have a smart TV or other device this will allow you to stream from Vudu as wel for your digital movies.

Great little bluray player. We have it in 2 rooms in the house and bought this one to use with a projector for outdoor movies. Great little player.

It's small and easy to set up and has food quality

This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a budget or additional Blu-ray player for your household. I only have mine connected directly to the TV with no surround sound, so I can't comment about its more advanced sound capabilities, but the picture and sound quality that I have experienced is more than adequate for my current needs. It also supports a variety of streaming apps, including YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Vudu, etc, and multiple music formats. I mostly got it for watching movies, but I have found the ability to listen to music in high-res FLAC to be a nice bonus, even if the effect is somewhat diminished by listening through my TV. The remote is a little small for my taste, and lacks a numeric keypad, but it gets the job done. The unit itself is well-constructed, especially for something so compact and lightweight. One thing that did surprise me was that this player doesn't come with an HDMI cable. Perhaps that is typical these days, but just be aware that you'll need to buy one if you don't have an extra laying around. It also lacks an internal power supply and standard power cord; instead, you have to plug it in using a proprietary AC Adapter. Fortunately, it's a relatively small one, but it's still a bit of an annoyance. Still, for the price, I can't recommend this model enough, as long as you're not looking for something more high-end.

We've had a few blu ray players go out over the years and had to purchase a new one. We chose this particular one because of the brand - Sony has a good reputation, the price was very reasonable, and the physical size of the machine is small enough to fit where we needed it. No complaints about this Blu-ray player and we are happy with it thus far.

This is the third one I’ve bought, two for gifts to family members and one for our house. Easy to use and it doesn’t break the bank to purchase it

We loved getting rid of our DVD player and "upgrading" to this Blu-ray player. The color and picture really are better than the traditional DVD player, and its convenient to be able to play Blu-ray and DVD discs in one player.

Great upgrade over our 10 year old blu ray player that took 20 minutes to read and load the disk. The WiFi and app features make it even better.
