My old plasma is not "Smart," this Blu Ray with wifi did the trick. Every once in a while it hangs when I am trying to power it up so I have to unplug it. I think the FW needs an upgrade by the manufacturer. I have up to date FW but still hiccups. The blu ray player part of it is good.

Immediately the player did an up-date on line. The Apps screen came on and i used the player to listen to a CD and watched Home on a blu-ray. Totally satisfied. This player was for someone else. I have been using a SONY Blu-ray player for years and have had no problems at all. This is why I purchased this SONY player.

Love the small size and lightness of the unit. Easy hookup w/HDMI, paired easily with my surround sound system. Easy to use remote. Offers apps and should serve as a smart setup for an older Panasonic plasma set that still performs great. Love it so far.

The picture output is good and it had a decent smart app selection. Being that BD players are pretty much everywhere and the features are all about the same, price for most people is the big factor. Unless you need analog outs or dual HDMI outputs, or optical outputs, this should do the job quite well for almost anyone.

Connect to Wi-Fi and stream channels. A great choice to add to a TV that does not have apps. I’ve had this for over a year now and it works perfect.

I have no Blue Ray discs!!! Anyway tried it with a few questionable DVD's and where the DVD player played movies in a box, or could stretch them to look distorted..... This just made every movie full screen and perfect. The Apps are useful too, all 300 of them!!
