Sony blu-ray and regular dvd player

A dvd player that plays blu-ray and regular dvd. I'm watching it as I write this rewiew. Compact and lite weight. Buy one it was totally worth it.

Good but a few bugs

However I'm having a few problems with it. Sometimes I turn it on and I just get a black screen and I have to power cycle it to get the menu to come up. I think it has to do with the quick start option so I just disabled that for now until it gets an update and it's been fine since. The power went out and it when it came back on it didn't connect to the wifi automatically. It remembered the settings but didn't connect on it's own. Honestly I wonder anymore if these companies do any QA. These types of issues should be found in testing. It's nothing I would return the unit for, just inconvenient and I'm sure an update will fix it. I would not recommend it because of these issues. Also, the HULU app doesn't have live TV and there is no update for it to get that.

Great upgrade at a good price!

OMG, what a difference! Research reviews first and found this the best player at reasonable prices. Also nice curbside service at Best Buy!

Able to use apps like Netflix for viewing as well as playing blu-rays and DVDs. It is unfortunate that Hulu is fading out but that is true for many devices across the board. Works great with my new TV.

Since I purchased the unit my enjoyment for watching DVDs has increased 10 fold and I look to purchase new DVD titles all the time. Love the picture quality and sound!

WOUld be nice to have remote that lights up--you have to use your phone for light to see the buttons when you're watching a movie in the dark. But it's inexpensive and gets the job done in 1/4 the size of old bluray players!
