Got a good deal Black Friday purchasing this DVD player. I like that it has built in wifi features because we're able to plug this into an older tv. It's easy to use. Just don't loose the remote or you won't be able to play any movies or anything.

I have a Samsung blue ray player in my bedroom with the same features. I bought both at Best Buy. And am very happy with the functions and the quality. Don’t have a 4K TV set so this Sony Blue-ray player is perfect for my needs.

I love it. It has Wifi that you can set up, Youtube and other channels such as netflix nd Disney. It is the best one I have purchased and will buy more for my friends and Family..

This unit replaces an old Sony 5-disk carousel model. The wi-fi capability and streaming applications kind of make 5-disk shuffle play obsolete. I find, however, that I can only stream music from a network drive if the player is the only device that's active on the wireless network. Even internet browsing with a laptop seems to steal enough bandwidth to cause dropouts. It may be that 802-11n just doesn't cut it. Streaming applications don't seem to suffer the same problem; I'm streaming Pandora while writing this with no issues. In addition, streamed video doesn't work at all. I suppose a high performance wireless network would fix the problem, but it doesn't work well with mine. All-in-all, a good value for less than $100. In a hard-wired ethernet installation it would probably get a 5.

I originally had an older version of this. This is much, much better. I only see two faults with it. The controller is nearly half the size of the old controller and with my big hands, it is hard to push just one button. Fortunately I kept the old controller and I'm still using that one. The other problem is a lack of feedback from the unit. The only sign of life from it is a tiny green LED which gets hard to see when you're more than about 8 feet from the unit. The LED tells you that it is getting power but it doesn't tell you what it is doing. My old one was cheaper and it at least told me what it was doing. Despite my griping up above, I am very satisfied with this model. It performs better and faster than the old one and that counts for a lot.
