I have limited space so I purchased an Insignia 22" Television. It had no Wifi so I purchased this Sony not only as a DVD player but as a Wifi addition to the television. My only complaint is it comes with preloaded apps that the user cannot delete. For example, "Crackle" is no longer viable yet the app is still here and cannot be removed. There are many other apps that I have absolutely no use for, yet they're not removable. I guess I'm old fashioned in that I want control over anything I purchase, I don't want "it" to control me. Otherwise it's a nice compact unit and setting up the Wifi was easy enough. I've played a few DVD's and Blu-ray discs and it works fine.

I have a Samsung blue ray player in my bedroom with the same features. I bought both at Best Buy. And am very happy with the functions and the quality. Don’t have a 4K TV set so this Sony Blue-ray player is perfect for my needs.

Bought this for My DVD / BLU-Ray discs which I am unable to convert to digital media. Works great. Has many apps like, Netflix, Hulu, Sling media, which allows you to do more than just watch discs.

Sony makes a good product. This bluray player was easy to hook up and nice to use. It has the ability to stream online if you want. I use mine for watching movies, regular and bluray.

Multiple use DVD player. Very easy to install. Excellent product.

This unit replaces an old Sony 5-disk carousel model. The wi-fi capability and streaming applications kind of make 5-disk shuffle play obsolete. I find, however, that I can only stream music from a network drive if the player is the only device that's active on the wireless network. Even internet browsing with a laptop seems to steal enough bandwidth to cause dropouts. It may be that 802-11n just doesn't cut it. Streaming applications don't seem to suffer the same problem; I'm streaming Pandora while writing this with no issues. In addition, streamed video doesn't work at all. I suppose a high performance wireless network would fix the problem, but it doesn't work well with mine. All-in-all, a good value for less than $100. In a hard-wired ethernet installation it would probably get a 5.

I really love this blu ray player. I can play blu ray disks, I can play dvd's, I can watch Hulu or Netlifx, and there's lots of other features with it as well. Spending a little bit extra for a wifi enabled blu ray player was well worth it!

Works great for watching movies and the streaming is nice and fast.

This is a great little Blu Ray player and it is very tidy. It goes beyond because it has a streaming hub as well. I had a little difficulty opening the tray. It needed help.
