When I was in the market for a turntable, I read reviews regarding best turntable for beginners and this product stood out more than others. It seemed to be in the perfect price range and backed by the Sony name. The reviews were right - ever since purchasing it has worked flawlessly and have a feeling I will have this for a very long time. If you are looking for an introductory turntable, look no further.

Bought this so I could convert my parent's old albums into digital for them. Works great with my Windows 10 PC, took a little work to set the defaults in the sounds settings but if you've changed them before, it'll be a snap. Once done there, I plugged in to my Onkyo receiver and can now play all these old albums and they sound great. My only con is the tone arm could be weighted.

Nice turn table that self positions the needle on yhe record for you. It's not you parent's turn table. No pennies required.

As a fan of Sony and their music products I think this player is up to par as far as quality. I knocked a star off only because I thought it was a bit expensive considering that you need your own speakers to play music on it. Luckily, my boyfriend already had a set of Bose and the combination is infallible. I think we'll be listening to music on this one for many years.

Had givin up on a pioneer turntable and returned it and tryed the Sony model. Hooked it up and could not get the cover off of the stylus Called Sony, they don't work weekend. Sent a email - not a easy thing- and they said yes remove cover. Fed up I returned it and they said it was defective, got another and it works fine.

I have shelves full of vinyl with all of my oldies from back in the day. Now I can put them on CD’s and hear them as I drive. No need to find an oldies station.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She is 22 this year, I would have never dreamed she would want a Record Player...lol. We hooked it to my system on Christmas morning and it worked great! I really love the sound of vinyl. I even dug out some OLD 45's and with a little cleaning they still sound GREAT! Don't be afraid, this thing works great.

For the money it's good. Changing a needle is not as easy as it should be It looks exactly like my 20 yr old one. If you want a basic turntable with the ability to record to computer this is the best I found for the money in a name brand. Don't waste your money on those new no name ones.

if you move, make sure you tape down the arm or the arm will break. found that out the hard way
